I am filing a complaint against Quick Abstract, LLC, located at ******************************************, for repeated negligence and failure to complete essential post-closing responsibilities on my home purchase. After purchasing my home at **************************************, I discovered that Quick Abstract never transferred the property information to the local water department. The water account is still in the previous owners name months after closing.I called Quick Abstract more than a month ago about this issue, and they assured me they would handle it. However, they never followed up, and nothing has been resolved. Because of their failure, I now have an active insurance claim that cannot proceed because the insurance company states the property still isnt showing under my name suggesting the deed was never properly recorded or reported. This situation has caused unnecessary financial stress, delays, and confusion. It reflects a complete lack of professionalism, accountability, and customer service. I have had prior issues with this same title company involving missing paperwork and delayed follow-through, which further shows an ongoing pattern of neglect.I am requesting the BBBs help in ensuring that this company immediately:1.Provides proof that my deed was properly recorded with the county.2.Corrects the utility transfer with the water ********************* written confirmation of ownership for insurance purposes.Their ongoing negligence has interfered with my ability to manage my property, utilities, and insurance claims. I am filing this complaint to hold them accountable and to warn other homebuyers about these serious issues.Sincerely,******* ***** ************************************* ?? ************** ?? ***********************

This complaint is concerning money being held by a title company after the sale of my mother's house. My mother passed away in 2022 and her house was sold at the end of February 2023. There was no mortgage or lien on the house, the mortgage was satisfied in 1993 and, I (daughter/administrator) have the deed. The title company for some reason is holding on $2,500 because they can't find where the loan was paid. The loan is 20 plus years passed the maturity date and the loan companies used are now defunct. My realtor has tried numerous times to get resolution, but they will not respond to his calls and emails. Filing a complaint is my last resort.
