On May 27, 2025, I had taken my Jeep into aamco transmissions in ************, they had taken a look at it and told me the issue, we discussed price on fixing it and I agreed, then he call with another issue and it would cost more money, then he said he need money to cover the cost of the parts after that he found another issue, the bill just kept piling up. On the day he called and said it was fixed we went to pick it up, my husband noticed a leaking in the parking lot, he refused to come take a look at it and denied it. Within 15 mile from the shop the jeep had no power and the transmission lines blew off. I called him to come look at it, he showed up almost 2 hours later, he said that the transmission lines were not included in the price for new ones, and had the nerve to say it was my daughters fault, he refused to fixed it after a 14 ****** bill unless we paid him more money for parts and labor. Very deceptive work practices and very dishonest person. And now I have to find another mechanic to try and fix his mistakes.Business Response

Dear *************************** be informed as this customers complaint is NOT accurate and does NOT layout the issue in an honest way.
The Customer brought in to our shop on 05/27/2025, their 2000 Jeep ( an oldie but goodie ) for repairs, she was informed of the ALL the steps that it will take place for repairing this old vehicle and the difficulty of finding parts for a 25 years old vehicle, she understood UPFRONT what is involved as cost of Parts & Labor & availability.
We kept the Customer informed of the Time that it is taking with photos that has been sent to her cell phone, when possible, of the repairs completed and what's yet to be performed.
We have also invited her on a number of times to come to the Shop to witness any and all new issues that we came across as we are repairing her vehicle for the faulty parts that needs repairs OR replacement, at which time we get her approval and SIGNATURE / INTIALS on the document validating her consent & understanding to proceed with the new need repairs, that includes Parts & Labor & Warranty ( her visits to the Shop Documents are attached here that shows her knowledge of what is needed for repairs ), Visit on 05/30/2025 (attached) & visit on 07/09/2025 (attached) & visit on 07/19/2025 (attached).
PLEASE be aware that, we have informed the Customer she does not have to approve any additional repairs if she so chooses to, we have no issue to continue what we are set out to perform & can leave these faulty parts as is. Customer insisted to repair & replace any new discovered faulty parts to ensure the vehicle will be safe for its driver.
Now keep in mind that, every step of the way has been explained to the customer in details UPFRONT prior to repairing any of her faulty parts old & newly discovered, through phone calls & texts & photos .
At the last stage of the repairs she was informed of the faulty Transmission that needs replacement at which time she & her husband came to the shop, and we showed them in person the issue, and why the replacement, at that time they have approved the replacement of the Transmission only, on that day as well and we have obtained their approval in writing on the repair order document (attached).
After we have completed the necessary authorized & approved repairs by the customer, Customer's husband took the Vehicle to his mechanic to check the work that has been performed ..
His Mechanic's Name is ( **** ) who lives & operate his repair shop at the following address ( ************** **************, ** ***** ), **** is an instructor at *** he pointed us to his shirt that has the logo of the School, and also point to us his work shop that is located also on the same address noted above!
Customer's husband left the shop with the vehicle to take it to his mechanic (****) to validate all the repairs on the repair order has been in fact performed.
Customer's husband called us from his mechanic's shop at the address noted above, claiming the vehicle is stuck there cause it was leaking transmission fluid from the transmission lines, and he demanded that we go to his mechanic's shop at the address noted above to resolve the problem, and he provided the address to his mechanics shop ( noted above ).
We took a ride to the above address, come to find that the Transmission lines have been tampered with causing a leak ..
We have explained to the Customers husband & his Mechanic (****), that we have tested the Vehicle for more than once, and these lines did NOT leak what so ever, we have also explained that should the lines have leaked prior to him taking the vehicle to his Mechanic (****), we would have informed him as we have done in the past throughout all the repairs that we have performed, on any issue that required their approval for a charge on (Parts & Labor) to repair OR replace, and requested an authorization to replace them at which time there will be a charge for parts ( Lines ) and labor to install, and obtain their signature on the repair document as we have done before.
So, it is in our advantage if we are a bad repair shop to report them leaking if in fact they did not leak!!
Yet we were very clear once again to the Customers husband the lines did NOT leak post repairs & during the so many road tests that took place BEFORE the customers husband taking the vehicle to his own Mechanic (****), to check our work.
PLEASE, keep in mind that we did NOT replace these lines & there was NO charge to the customer for line replacement of Parts OR Labor, the lines were fine when they left the shop in the vehicle.
Regarding the lower control arms, in our view they have no issues to stay on the vehicle, and they do not represent any concern, however and once again we have explained to the customers husband that should the lower control arms needed to be replaced, that is as well would be another job for us, that we would have pointed out for replacement and ask for an authorization to do so, with a charge of parts and labor as well, and would have gotten their approval on the repair order
PLEASE, keep in mind that we did NOT replace the lower control arms there were NO charge to the customer on these parts NO Parts & NO Labor ..
Having said that, the Customer's husband along with his mechanic ( **** ), have vandalized the lines to justify no payment ..
Post repairs, the lines were not replaced since there was no leak, and the lower control arms was not replaced since they are not faulty.
all in all this Customers husband does not want to pay unless we perform free repairs that we did not charge them OR performed the repairs on them in the first place
The customer's husband & his mechanic intentionally bend the old lines out of orbit causing a leak that was NEVER taking place post repairs test drives ..
Having said that, every Part we have replaced is noted on the repair order and have been authorized by the Customer, thus a charge is in place for Parts & Labor!
Transmission lines are a separate part if needed a replacement we would have asked the Customer to authorize a charge for Parts & Labor and would have been noted on the repair order as well, the same goes for the lower control arms.
We believe this is a bad case of a post repairs advise from their Mechanic who is leading them to believe that he would have either provided a better service for them OR creating a buyers remoras ... just the same!!
Thank you for your time

I am rejecting this response because:
My neighbors driveway is all the further we could go without doing anymore damage to the jeep, the jeep left a trail of transmission fluid from the roadway into the end of Mikes driveway where it sat until ***** looked at it, His own mechanic that he brought with him agreed with us about the blown transmission lines. No one touched the jeep, no one would damage a $200 part after paying over a fourteen thousand dollar bill you can tell this guy has done this before, Very dishonest.

Please be informed of the followings: -
1- The Vehicle had NO leak post repairs during the many road's tests & under load.
2- The Vehicle had NO leak when the Customer took possession of it.
3- The part that, the customer referring to, is NOT and was NOT part of the replaced parts on the vehicle among the many that we did ( go back to the repair order ).4- The leak that, the customer is referring to is the result of Tampering with the line causing the leak.
5- If the customer is insisting NO tampering with the line to cause a leak, then customer should refer to their repair order that shows we did NOT replace or charged for replacing any transmission lines.
6- Customer also should understand once & for all that we pointed out any & all faulty parts that needed replacement OR repairs, should the lines be faulty, we would have recommended replacing them with a charge of Parts & Labor.
7- Customer highlights the total charge of the total repairs, had the lines were leaking, we would have informed the customer with the urgency to replace, and the total charge would have been the fourteen thousand dollars PLUS lines charge for part & line charge for installation.
8- Apparently, the Customer is having the notion that we must replace the now leaking line to include parts & labor for free, even though we did NOT replace or charge them for it.
Clearly in our view it seems to be a sign of entitlement, the customer trying to practice here, and we do NOT appreciate!!
