My AC wasn't working properly and Triangle replaced my thermostat to correct the problem on Aug 23, 2022 for $347.68. The person who came tried to charge me $200 more than I was quoted on the phone, but this was corrected. In November 2022 my heat wasn't keeping up to the point my house was 61 degrees inside with the thermostat at 68 and it being 15 - 20 degrees outside. I called Triangle about this and they told me they were too busy to help! I even called twice and was told to call another company because Triangle was too busy. I contacted Boyer Refrigeration and they diagnosed it was the thermostat not being correctly installed. They corrected the problem for $175.96. I've attached a copy of the receipt from Boyer as confirmation. I would like to be refunded by Triangle for the cost of both services $523.64. This job should have been done right the first time and I shouldnt have been ignored when I needed help. Any assistance offered in resolving this complaint is greatly appreciated.

In order to process any refund, the thermostat supplied will need to be returned to our office in working order.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********* and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

They expect me to take the thermostat off the wall and return it? Triangle did the work incorrectly, then ignored me when I needed help during below freezing weather. Now they expect me to go with NO thermostat and have to buy and install a new one? No, the thermostat stays on the wall and I want a refund as mentioned in the original complaint. Getting advertisements in the mail all the time asking for my business doesn't help either, especially when I was told by Triangle "you had too much business and I should call another company".

We had our water main burst due to our local water authority messing with water pressure as they attempted to fix a water issue down the street. Water began to flood our basement and when they did not help we reached out to Triangle in October 2022. We had been going back and forth with the local water authority for 7 months prior making no progress. When we spoke to Triangle they made my wife feel very secure in using their service and finally reaching a solution to our problem. They came in to give us an estimate of the work and told us the price would be around $17,000 but the price would dramatically change if they did not have to cut across 30ft of driveway and 5 feet of concrete to change our water main. I was also contacted by the excavation project overseer that the price would also change if they didn’t have to do all the extra digging. We were not shown an itemized receipt of the estimate or the final receipt until we asked for one after the job was finished. They did not have to do the extra digging and were done with the job in 3 1/2 hours. After the work was done I called Triangle to see what the price was and they told me it was the same as the estimate and it will not change. We are grateful for the work they did but we are disgusted that they didn’t keep their word and charged us for work that wasn’t done when they said it was on the receipt, as well as grossly overcharged us $14,000 solely for the machine used to dig.

We disputed the charge and neither Triangle or the bank in which we disputed the payment will give us access to the documents of why we lost the dispute.

Responding to this complaint, all documentation was provided to the initial complaint with the financing company which sided in Triangle's favor.  The customer approved the estimate prior and signed off that the work was satisfactory upon completion with the agreed price.  This matter is considered to be resolved.

No I’m not in agreement with the decision in favor of triangle. First off I will say that the completion of work that was done was satisfactory in regards to the plumbing. What I’m disputing is the overall cost of the track hoe, I was told by both the guy we spoke to from Triangle that the estimate was based on worse case scenario of digging across 30ft of my driveway and 5ft of concrete which did not need to be or actually done to complete the job. I was also told by the contractor from Robinson that the price would change if those tasks of digging did not need to be done. We were also not shown an itemized receipt and I had to sign the estimate to move forward with the project. I only signed because the guy we talked to from triangle said that price would change if the digging of the driveway and concrete didn’t have to be done. So he lied to get me to sign. I’m not okay with paying for work that was not done. I’ve said this plenary of times, we would like to pay for the plumbing replacement work that was done and what it costs to dig a 5ft hole with the track hoe, labor and operator. The estimate doesn’t match with the work that was done on the itemized receipt we received. It’s not okay to charge $14,561.31 for a track hoe that did not do the work they anticipated in a 3 hour time span.

once again I have a long list of references from excavation companies in central PA that told me this is an outrageous price to pay. When we tried to get reasoning to why it was so expensive Triangle told us it was a flat rate and I call b.s. on that. Absolutely unreal and taking advantage of customers.
