    THIS COMPANY Bearded Brothers Movers USES DECEPTION TECHNIQUES AND IS NOT HONEST WITH ITS CUSTOMERS. My wife was quoted a price to move her elderly father who has very little furniture and other other materials to move - basically a couch, recliner, four-person table, bed that he disassembled, tv stand, and cabinet in addition to approximately 15 to 20 small to medium boxes (all completely packed and boxed before their arrival) and all placed centrally in his living room. He had already moved all of his clothes, dresser drawer contents, and other loose items. No appliances were moved. The move was only 5 miles away to a ranch apartment. My wife called and was told the move would cost approximately $400, which sounded reasonable based on the limited amount he had to move. My wife then received a written estimate that was double the price at $807. My wife called the woman she previously talked to and was told that it was only an estimate - they always overestimate - and the cost would be still around $400. After the move occurred, my wife was charged $1,095. She called and questioned the more than double cost. The owner then told her they charged drive time - that was never disclosed in the verbal quote or in the written quote - which they claimed took 45 minutes to one hour even though the mapping programs show only 36 minutes. Drive time between the places being moved out and moved in was only approximately 5 minutes. He then claimed it took the guys three (3) hours to move him. I moved him in and it took us 30 minutes with three people who don’t move people for a living. To claim it took three (3) hours is utterly ridiculous. The movers obviously were interested in dragging out the time to increase their pay by the hour. This company used deception from their verbal quote to confirmation of their written quote as being an overestimation to the final cost. If we knew it would cost over $1,000, we would have moved him ourselves. We would not recommend them.
