When I got my car back I had no emergency brake also when my car was in neutral it wouldn’t shift smoothly, and I had to put it in 2nd and then jam it into 1st gear. And I only paid $2,000.00 for the car so having to pay $1,528.00 for my car that was not fixed correctly.

We received a phone call for an estimate on installing a clutch in her car. We gave them a price and they had the car brought over by *** ******** who  worked at the company. We were told by him the car really wasn't driveable. He stated that the car would take off when started, even with the clutch pedal depressed and we should push it in. We installed the clutch and Jim picked it up when we called to tell them that it was ready. Jim's son worked for us so he stopped by couple weeks later and said that the clutch worked great. The car had 183303 miles on it when repaired on 11/09/22.

The car was brought in sometime in June by *** ********. He said that the owner was complaining about the shifting being hard to get into gears. We tried to bleed the system to make sure that there wasn't any air in it. We determined that the synchronizers inside the trans had been damaged, probably from improper shifting. Stephens stated that he didn't think that the car's owner knew how to drive a clutch properly. The car had 8000 +  miles on it since the repair,

The owner of the car and the owner of the company that she works for came in in early July. The owner started questioning the bill even though an estimate was given before they brought the ca in. The owner of the car claimed that we damaged the transmission and that her emergency brake didn't work after our repair. After 10-15 minutes of abusively talking to my service manager, they left.

The owner of the car and another gentleman came in earlier this month. The car's owner expressed the same concerns and stated that my service manager had been rude to her. I was in my office 15 feet away and can state without a doubt her and her boss were the rude ones. The car owner stormed out and I told the gentleman with her that I would agree to put in a used transmission  at n/.c if they brought one in.

Here are some facts about the repair. The clutch kit sits in between the engine and the transmission. We never opened up the transmission, which is where the synchronizers are. Also, we had to push the car in. We did not check the emergency brake or do anything to it. It's a totally different system. Also, as bad as the clutch was, we could not test drive it before the repair to see how the transmission shifted. We felt that after the repair, the clutch worked perfectly.

I think that our offer of installing a transmission that they bring in for N/C  (labor is normally 900.00) is more than fair considering it took so long for her to complain about it. If it was as bad as she said when she got it back from us, she would have been in a lot sooner.
