I purchased a car from Andrew Motors on March 11th 2024. Before purchasing the car I realized the check engine light was on Andrew motors put it on diagnostic and said it was the crankshaft sensor and it would be about 200. to fix after calling a mechanic to confirm the cost of repairs I purchased the car. I took it to my mechanic on Wednesday the 13th of March and was told the codes read timing belt not crankshaft sensor which cost 1500. At the least to be fixed I took the car back and was told that the original owner wasn't available I didn't by the car from someone else I bought it from Andrew Motors then was told all sales were final lol nothing was funny for him to make a joke about me getting screwed over he knew this was my first car im 20 yrs old and he didn't careInitial Complaint

I purchased a truck 2006 gmc envoy they did not disclose the frame was damaged so I ask for trade or exchange and they won’t accept it but I now have my family in danger driving and I don’t even have the title to the car and they did not inspect the car before advertising it and I have proof from Firestone that it is completely unsafe to drive . The company is ignoring our calls and saying to not come up there because it’s not they problem no more.Initial Complaint

Dont buy any cars here. I bought a 2004 *********** from them. I understand it was a 2k car that I thought was a good deal. Turns out it was not. Had to replace the transmission almost immediately as it would not shift into 3rd gear so there was 800 dollars. I bought it with a CEL for a crank position sensor. I replaced that sensor on top of every shift solenoid and the cam position sensor. Now Im being told it is most likely the timing chain and the car needs a new motor. All of this within 600 miles. Now I was taking the car to get the safety inspection redone after everything and am shown that there is multiple cracks in the frame that they were trying to hide so now I am out at least 1500 dollars on the car.Business Response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
*****************************I have attached a video of the inspection that I had done to it by ******* ********t. I did do a walkaround and test drove the vehicle in addition of visually inspecting the frame. I noticed no major issue except for a check engine light for the crank position sensor and a hole in the exhaust. I expect to have a few issues in a car that only cost 2k. But when I got it home and started to drive it the next day 3rd gear went out so I had to put a transmission in. Still didnt notice any spots that were concerning. I then take it to the ********* dealership and have them test everything and they found that someone tried to hide the spots that were rusting through and there were a few parts that were not properly attached. It is not an issue of mechanical problems, it is an issue of safety and could've been a lot more harmful had it not been caught.

On 12/3/2022, my daughter and I visited ******* Motors to look at a **** ***** ********. It was advertised on ******** and stated: "Runs very good. No warning lights on dash. Nice reliable vehicle. Everything works as it should. Test drives welcome. $2250. Call or text ************" See: *********************************************************/
That evening, I viewed the vehicle and it appeared (from a non-mechanics perspective) that it was operational. I was assured that "Everything works as it should". I put a small deposit to hold the vehicle until Monday when I was able to bring a mechanic to inspect the vehicle. When I came back on Monday, I had a mechanic with me to review the vehicle. He immediately noticed that the entire front drive shaft was missing from the vehicle! The 4x4 systems was in no way operational.
I informed Dan ***** (Employee) from ******* Motors Inc, that it was missing the drive shaft! He has refused to refund my deposit on the vehicle. Eric *******, the owner has also refused to return my deposit.
I understand that these cars will have issues. I understand that all "Sales" are final. However, I had yet to have it inspected. When I get it inspected, the advertised claim description of the vehicle did not match reality.Business Response

A $100 deposit was place on this vehicle that was priced at 1/2 of book value. Normally we require a $500 deposit. We had several people interested in this vehicle. We told several people that it was sold so we could hold it for you. After you took it for a long test drive and agreed to purchase it we accepted your $100 deposit. As described - all deposits are non refundable - nothing hidden here. Not sure what the problem is here over a non refundable $100 deposit that you knew about before leaving it. We lost the potential sale of the vehicle to hold it for you.Customer Answer

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. This business clearly advertised on ******** that everything worked. The sales person stated that he himself was working on a similar **** and was very familiar with their function. We discussed the fact that having 4x4 was important. He clearly knew the 4x4 system was unable to operate without the front drive shaft. We also discussed the work it would need including front suspension parts. Again no mention that it was missing the drive shaft.
False advertisement is not acceptable.
These guys are falsely advertising that these cars are functional when they have serious, known issues.
It cannot be legal to operate this scam.
The written agreement allows for a mechanic’s inspection. It did not pass that inspection. Eric is driving exotic cars on his ******** page while ripping people off.
The Ad should have said: “Missing front drive shaft. Needs work. Transfer case in unknown condition.” Then you at least have some argument. But you clearly stated everything works! Which is a lie and false advertising.

Purchased a 2003 Nissan Murano and had it looked over and checked out by a former employee of Liberty Ford with no noticable issues beside a repair on the muffler, with less than 100 miles on the car it started to lose power and I I called stating there was an issue with the vehicle thinking the transmission was slipping on nov 14th at 8:37. On my way to work that morning NOv14th the vehicle broke down, and I had it towed to Tire and Wheel automotive. Turns out there was no oil in the motor it all leaked out into the catalytic converter and caused over 1700$ in damage to the vehicle being this dealership sold this with major issues and possibly covered up them selling it to me with a blown oil cooler o ring and leaks at the timing cover gasket issues a mechanic inspection would not reveal. I have also contacted the saleman Dan S**** through Facebook on the ad which brought me to the company and these people have not responded. These people are LEMON sellers and crooksBusiness Response

I am sorry you are having an issue with your vehicle. Since you had the vehicle inspected by your mechanic before purchasing and there were no related issues then I am to assume since this was a used vehicle the problem was sudden. All vehicles here are sold as is with no warranty. We do not inspect any of our vehicles. They are all sold as is with no warranty. Nothing is hidden.
