The company charged me 600 dollars for a home appraisal that did not take place due to complications with our mortgage company. Upon cancelling, we were told a refund should be issued, per ************************ About a week ago. After asking for an update and not receiving a refund, we inquired again and have not been informed of any progress.Initial Complaint

We requested appraisal on 4/12. Whatever report was shared, has wrong address. Underwriter has requested to change the address but still it is not done. I am going to lose my contract in couple of days and I am not able to do anything about it.Business response

Hello,
We have reviewed this order and have noted that the appraiser initially sent in the correct appraisal. The underwriter requested a change and when the appraiser re-sent in the report they accidentally provided another they were working on.
This was fixed within days and the completed appraisal was sent to the lender on 5/11.Initial Complaint

I refinanced a home. The lender I chose had appraisals completed through nation valuations services. They reported I would have to pay for the appraisal before they could send me the updated rates. I paid on March 18th and then was told by the lender that my appraisal was waved on March 21. I reached out to NVS 5 times to request a refund as the service was never completed and never even scheduled. They have ignored my request and it is now April 11th. My lender is also aware of the situation and they have been trying to also advocate for my refund but they have also been unsuccessful. I am still trying to obtain a refund and am pretty frustrated at this point.Business response

Hello, Nations Valuation Services did not complete this order. We received an appraisal order from our client on 3/3, but they cancelled with us and went to another company. The borrower was refunded in full immediately when the file was cancelled on 3/16. His claim noted he made payment on March, 18th, and it appears that payment was to a different Appraisal Management Company after his lender sent the order to another company.

June 30 We made a offer on a house. Days later I paid my lender $550 for a home appraisal. The first date set on July 9th was rescheduled, the next date set rescheduled, third date was not rescheduled but was not done and was not notified of this this the following week on the aug 24th when the appraisal was said to be done. Here we are the 31st 2 days away from closing and still no report. I called yesterday was told report was rejected to to appraiser errors. Call following day to get update of when report will be done as we are days away and not wanting any delays to be told that they could not share info with me on anything. When I say I called yesterday and was told errors was made and needed to corrected I was told buy employee (woman) "that she was not doing this with me" and hungup I called back no answer I call customer service was told errors where made in report and could take a few days. I said well we don't have a few days closing on second and was told "ohh well"Business response

NVS has reviewed the feedback and understands the frustration from Ms. *****. NVS is bound by state and ferderal requirements to only release information to our client which in this case is ********* Mortgage Company. We apologize for the experience as it is not one that is common or that we strive to provide and will continue to work to ensure the closing of this loan is not delayed.Customer response

Here we are the Day before close and was sent the report that was not even correct. Your company is rude and incompetent at doing your job. Supervisor called me yesterday Nichole was her name and soon as I answer the phone she said "first off we are doing are job" with a attitude i have never seen such rude employees they need to reevaluate customer service. Also I paid the lender to pay this company.

This is my second complaint about NVS the first one was last week when a employee hung up on me and said she "wasn't doing this with me" this one is the lack of service my appraisal has been sent back to be approved 2 times and each time it takes days to fix simple mistake we are now going on 6 days past close date and only waiting on this report that just can't seem to be changed to the correct purchase price and have the correct sellers name on the report. Management seems to act like I am bothering them when they literally are holding up my whole life. My one son can't start preschool til we have address in school district and I drive 4 hours day to get my other son to school. I am getting angrier day by day this is crazy and the employees really seem to care less. Their incompetence is costing me time and money. I have never been through a company that seems to care so little about people who keep them in Business. All I want is 10 mins for them to correct and send report.Business response

As NVS has shared continuously throughout this process we are limited in who we can speak with my regulations. The borrower must work with their lender who we are able to communicate details with. Management is involved and has communicated updates as early as this morning. Please contact your lender.
