I purchased a **** ****** ******* from Oaks Automotive at the beginning of September. Almost 2 months later and I still do not have the title to the vehicle, which I need in order to register the vehicle in my name in the state of ********. I took them the memorandum title and was told they cannot accept it. I called Oak Automotive on October 23rd about the title (I also checked with the financing company and they confirmed they did not receive it). I was told they would mail it to me that day. Over a week later and I still do not have it. I have called the dealership and my husband has too but are met with promises that "someone will call you back" but they never do. My temporary tags are expired and I cannot drive the vehicle because of that and not being able to get tags without registering the vehicle. I also paid to have the vehicle delivered to me through a shipping company. However, when it arrived, someone had simply driven it to me and had someone follow him in order to get back to ****. I paid $575 for it to be shipped, not driven 500+ miles. I don't want to hear someone will call me back and then ignore my problem. I just want the title to the vehicle I purchased.

Below is the copy of proof the car has been in your name since 9/15/23 and that your bank has received the title. The bank does not pay us until they receive the title listing them as a lien holder. unfortunately we cannot control usps. If you would like us to mail a title for a THIRD time we would be happy to. We can also provide receipts from the two times before that we paid the BMV to mail it.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, reasons for rejection are included below.

The screenshot provided by the dealership doesn't prove the title was sent. It doesn't have my name anywhere on it and there was no tracking provided to see where it is. I want proof provided and tracking.

If we can agree that your previous complaint about the bank not receiving the title is false. Your bank would have not paid us unless they received a title with them as a lien holder. Which was mailed 9/15/2023 received 9/18/2023 and we were paid 9/19/2023. We mailed you your copy of the title on the same day 9/15/2023. I understand your frustration but why would we get a title but never mail it? Why would we want a unhappy customer over a 50 cent stamp? I think it makes more sense that the title was lost/stolen while being mailed by usps.

I contacted the finance company on October 23rd, and the gentleman I spoke with claimed that the title had not been received. Therefore, I am going on the information that I was given by the finance company. No one has contacted me since to state otherwise. I have no proof or tracking of the title and the tags have been expired now for 9 days. I have still yet to receive a call back with any apology for the inconvenience I am experiencing not being able to drive the vehicle I purchased. I was told it didn't need anything done to it either, which was incorrect. We had to immediately replace rotors and brakes on all wheels. We also had to pay to have a gas leak fixed. The buying process was so simple but I wish I was given the same treatment now that the business has received their money. Everyone wants to pass off an issue, instead of just taking care of it. I only want the problem resolved so I can enjoy my purchase, that's all.

    Regards,

Like I stated multiple times I understand your frustration, however why would we risk making a customer unhappy over not sending a title if the attachment proves we had it? Also the THIRD title is at your side door. Tracking shows it was delivered today at 11am.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

I do not appreciate the phone call stating that I am a LIAR about the delivery. I never said I wanted it by any means necessary. Such unprofessional behavior all over a Google review - antagonize a customer and get them upset just to try to have a review removed.

On September 8, 2023, I visited Oaks Automotive to look at a vehicle. It was not a great experience and I stated that on the company page on a review. I did not state anything of slander, or defamation of character. I only stated my feelings on the experience. The owner of the business then messaged me on messenger (I have the screen shots, but can not get them to upload) and threatened me. Or in the owner's words, it was not a threat it was a promise. He threatened to reach out to my and my husbands employers. I do not believe a business has a right to threaten anyone of an honest review of an experience. Even in my reply, I was very nice and respectful Please reach out if you need the screenshots of the interaction, which I also posted on the review.

On sept 8th ****** visited our dealership looking at one of our Jeeps. After test driving the jeep ****** wanted to move forward with trading her car in. We appraised her car and due to the body damage being so bad we had to give an auction number due to us not having a body shop. ****** was very unhappy with this number we put on her trade. She then proceeded to throw a tantrum. I responded with would your employer be happy with how his employees are acting? I feel like that's a suitable question for a grown adult throwing a tantrum in public.
