      So I was approached by a door to door salesman early this spring for an insect treatment service. The young man seemed nice enough and explained that they were a new local company. He also explained that after three services that if I was not satisfied that I could cancel without any questions. After three services the impact on the insects did not meet expectations and I called to cancel my service, paying my final balance for three services. Approximately three days later I received a voicemail from the company asking if there was a way to resolve my concerns to in order to retain me as a customer. I did not return the call as I was interested. Recently I received a text message saying they were on their way out to perform my next treatment. I text back saying my service had been canceled previously. The technician replied ok I will let them know and proceeded to perform the service anyway. I then received a bill for the service and it was automatically billed to my credit card. I called in an attempt to try to get this resolved and am told that they didn't have any notes in the system and that if I now want to cancel that I would need to pay an additional cancellation fee. Now I have been billed for an additional unwanted forth service and a cancellation fee on top. EXTREMELY FRAUDULANT COMPANY!!!!

      Our goal is to provide clear and timely communication to all of our customers so we hate that you don't feel that the terms of the contract were  relayed to you correctly. I do see that a copy of the signed contract was emailed to you right after it was signed on 5/2/22 at 4:22pm. On 7/29/2024 at 2:30pm you left a voicemail with our customer service department and you were again emailed a copy of the signed service agreement. Someone tried calling you right back on 7/29/2024 at 2:33pm and left you a voicemail. On 9/17/2024 when you asked the technician not to treat your home, he had already completed the service. It appears you spoke with a customer service representative yesterday at 1:07pm and your account has officially been closed and the contract has been terminated.

      A high pressure salesman came to our door. I attempted to get him to leave, but he kept talking and I eventually caved in.. I had a provider with which I was extremely satisfied, but he said that they were a really small new business and REALLY needed our business. He refused to just leave information so that I could investigate.
      It turns out that they are NOT a fledgling business and have some seriously bad reviews online. They are not even recognized by the BBB.
      I have attempted to cancel the contract and pay the appropriate cancellation fee. The original number that I called (provided by the high pressure salesman) no longer is answered and that last time that I called, it said that there was no mailbox set up. I then went online to their site yesterday, called the number there and explained that I wanted to cancel; they said that someone would call me back, but it has not happened. I called again today multiple times; machine answered and said that I was next in line. I held for over 10 minutes and no response. I did this THREE times.
      Then I called from another number; the rep said that I needed to talk to someone else and that they would call me back "in the next few minutes." It has now been 30 minutes and no call.
      I want to get rid of them. Please help.

      FRAUD! BugShark did not have a permit to ILLEGALLY solicit ********* **. SALES had no company ID or Drivers License for identification. PROMISED call before visit and email of terms by next day.
      NO call or email. FRAUDULENTLY billed us and they did nothing. Home not cleaned of bug webs or exterior not sprayed. Neighbors HomeSecurityCamera shows they were not here and I was home all day. Charge disputed, Company did not respond to dispute, and then I was mailed $529bill. ********* Police advised me to contact BBB . BugShark aggressively calling for payment that I do not owe! BugShark Lie's and Cheats. ELDER ABUSE. FRAUD!

      The customer signed a copy of our contract that includes automatic payment. A copy of the contract and an upcoming appointment reminder were emailed on 5/17/2024. The customer's house has been serviced twice: 5/20/2024 at 9:58am and again on 6/24/2024 at 1:16pm. The service technician took a photo when he arrived for the service on 6/24/2024 and it shows the service vehicle in the driveway behind a grey car and a blue pickup. The garage door is open as well as the door leading from the garage to the back yard. Everything on our end shows that the service was completed both times that our technician was there.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, reasons for rejection are included below.

      This is a complete lie! Anyone can take a picture and make false claims. I did not nor did my husband receive any email or phone call from Bug Shark asking for permission to treat our yard I also did not ever receive a copy of terms by email, as promised within one day. . THIS IS A COMPLETE LIE!  Bug Shark illegally solicited our neighborhood for their business without a permit from the city of *********, in ****. Everything that they say is a complete LIE! Also, I did not see or hear from Bug Shark before receiving a $529? bill. This is a shame company that operates illegally and has sales reps that do not have Drivers License or Company I.D., because they are lairs and thieves. I have a Ranch Home with a clear view out all windows and Bug Shark was not here at times they state and did not clean any window, driveway, patio or did they treat the sides of the home for insects. This is Elder Abuse! and a Scam. They continue to solicit our neighborhood without a legal permit to do so, according to ********* Police. I owe them 0.00.

      We have a signed contract, effective 5/17/2024 at 9:18pm which was then emailed to the customer at 9:24pm. An appointment reminder was sent on 5/17/2024 at 9:27pm for service scheduled on 5/20/2024 (the first appointment). Another appointment reminder was sent on 6/22/2024 at 9:05am for the service scheduled on 6/24/2024. The customer called in and spoke with our customer service department on 7/3/2024 at 4:28pm where she stated that she no longer wanted the service and hung up. The contract was cancelled and the cancellation fees were issued to the account, per the signed contract. Customer service reached out on 7/22/2024 at 11:51 and was hung up on by the customer. We reached out again on 7/29/2024 at 1:21pm and got no answer and couldn't leave a voicemail. All other attempts at correspondence have been done through the mail.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, reasons for rejection are included below. BugShark salesman solicited us at 9PM at night, in pitch black darkness. He had no Drivers License, ID, or Employee ID on him.  Bugshark illegally solicited the City of *********, ****, without a city permit to do so, BugShark salesman told us.We were promised an email by the next day with terms of contract, a call asking permission to treat here before coming here. Our home, patio, driveway, windows, gutters, etc. were to cleaned and exterior of home treated for bugs. I NEVER RECEIVED ANY EMAILS FROM THEM AND DID NOT GET ANY PHONE CALL ASKING FOR PERMISSION TO TREAT BEFORE COMING HERE, UNTIL MID JUNE, 2024. They charged our credit card, I disputed it, I received letter stating my credit card company reached out to merchants bank and both concluded an error did occur, I got my funds returned. i called in early June 2024,  to inform BugShark not to trespass on our property after receiving a bill for 529.00 for services we never received. This bill was the only letter I received from them.  I told them not to stalk around here taking pictures like a thief in the night and not to trespass here again. BugShark was calling for days on end to repeatedly and aggressively harass and abuse us to  ask for payment . ********* Police Department in *********, **** told me to contact BBB, Yelp, Facebook, etc. to report these Scamsters and their lying fraudulent deceitful business.  Our attorney, Robert Wessel says, "It will all come out in the wash!" Misrepresentation makes a contract voidable and BugShark did not one thing that was promised by the salesman. This is fraud  or misrepresentation so contract is void. The charges need to be written off. As a citizen of the USA I will not allow BugShark to stomp on my Constitutional Rights. This amounts to Elder Abuse. I included copies of items to go with this dispute that can be viewed now.  Truth will prevail. BugShark should be ashamed to call themselves a business in ****.
