Guess I won't get Greenlight, to many bad reviews!? I could see one or two but more than that tells me,.." NOT!" Do Not Get! I don't want to give a STAR rating as it is NOT deserved but I have to give one & that's all it will be is just that, one just so I can submit this review otherwise they won't let me. I'd give NO stars! I was so looking forward to getting someone who isn't so greedy & would honor customers but I will stay with the present ****. Good luck out there as everyone is greedy! Also, try to hold monopoly on others! Sad! That's what my service does & pays to keeps others out of our city. How do they get away with this? Oh yeah,..MONEY!!

Hello ******* - we are sorry that you feel you need to give "no stars" simply based on the reviews here. I encourage you to take a look at our website, our ****** reviews and do some additional research on our internet service. We provide fast fiber internet at a cost that is comparable to the other providers in the area.

My wife and I just had Green Light installed yesterday. The installer was very friendly and knew what he was doing. He had a lot of experience and it showed. When he left I had a hard time getting my router to accept the data from their ***** box so I had to call customer service. The very friendly tech guy talked me through some stages. I was familiar with this kind of work and it turned out that the router, which I purchased almost a year ago just for Green Light, was simply broken. There was no way I could have tested it beforehand without first getting hooked up. So no fault of Greenlight and they even tell you up front that they don't support a purchased router if it is not provided by them. Completely understandable. In spite of that the tech man was very honest and knowledgeable and we worked it out wonderfully. I just put an older router on and bang, instant, fast internet and tv, which by the way is crystal clear. I thought the entire process was terrific... nice to watch a show that doesn't freeze or is out of sync for once!

They dug up our lawn without notifying us. I live in Clifton Park New York. Presumably, they want to compete with **** and ******** so they added their cables to our lawn perimeter. The made a mess. It's a week later and they still haven't taken down their flags. The promised to plant grass seed and restore our lawns but they have not. I would not go with their service for anything and will pass along the word. This company is not reputable, honest, upfront, trustworthy, from what I can help. I gave one star but if I could give no stars I would.

Communication was okay. It's clear they are using a cobbled together system. I received a lot of updates about what they were working on, but scheduling and confirming installation and billing was a disconnected and barebones process. They sent me my first bill AFTER they had charged me incorrectly and said there was nothing they could do to fix it. The actual internet service has been fine, no better or worse than ********, but at this point it is significantly more expensive. The outside installed also showed up without notice to start drilling into my house, Would not recommend.

The customer reached out to Greenlight Networks with questions about their first bill. There is an option when placing the order to choose "installments" and unfortunately that option was not checked. The install fee was then automatically charged on her first bill. Regarding attaching our services to the outside of her home - after placing the order, an explanation of what will happen next is emailed to the customer and the process is also outlined on our website. In order to get any utility into the house, an entry point must be drilled into the home, and the Greenlight fiber line is no different. It is unfortunate that this customer is unhappy and took to social media and the BBB to air her concerns as we pride ourselves on providing the fastest internet with a great customer experience.

Terrible customer service. If your thinking bout switching to theses guys, DONT. I am an auto pay customer. My card was lost/stolen had to cancel. They shut my service off and didn't call me after the card didnt go through. I called them gave them my new card and they charged me 25 bucks for a couple of key strokes. I have paid faithfully for over a year. It's amazing how fast they became like everyone else. Called back. Gave me an absolute runaround. Look elsewhere for service.

Greenlight Networks makes bills available each month via
our Greenlight Networks Portal. We send required notices by email to the
address the customer provided to Greenlight Networks for their Greenlight
Account. If a card is declined, an email notification of payment due is sent immediately as well as on the 3rd, 6th, and 8th days, before the account is locked on the 9th day. The first time that payment is declined the $25 activation fee is waived. In this case, this was not the first time that this customer account was locked due to non-payment. According to our terms and conditions https://www.******************.com the customer agrees to pay recurring monthly service fees in advance of the
month in which they’ll receive the services. Additionally, the customer
authorizes Greenlight Networks to automatically collect payments of any and all
fees associated with their use of the Services from their designated payment
method. If a payment collection is denied due to insufficient funds or for any
other reason, the customer’s bank or credit card issuer refuses to pay
Greenlight Networks amounts the customer has previously authorized Greenlight
Networks to charge to the account or if any portion of the customer bill is not
otherwise paid by the due date, Greenlight may charge the customer a late fee
on unpaid balances and may also terminate or suspend the customer’s Service
without notice. The late fee will be the lesser of 1.5% per month, or the
highest rate permitted by law. In this instance, we suspended the customer’s
service for failure to pay amounts owed for service which is in violation of
Greenlight Networks Customer Agreements or Acceptable Use Policy which
customers agree to when placing an order for service.

Do NOT trust Greenlight Networks! On 12/19/22, the installer mounted and hooked up the network box on the wall of my front porch, the main entrance to the home, mere feet from the front door, and now the siding feet from the main door to the home has been drilled through and compromised! 4 of their representatives mentioned that the box should not have been installed there and listed a few places it would have been better suited. For the following weeks, I attempted to contact Greenlight customer service, but never got connected to customer service, and ended up leaving numerous voicemails, none of which were responded to. Finally, I was able to reach a rep named Joe, who then created a "ticket". Mike M. called me that week and said that they would cover the charges for the damages and reinstall it somewhere else. He stated he would figure out a plan of action and call me back with details, but he never did. This was was a pattern with several reps. A few weeks later, Joe finally calls me just to ask if they can just move the box with no plan to fix the siding. At this point I'm well aware that they just want to keep passing the buck. Finally on March 10th, Chris G., a team lead with Greenlight calls me and dismissed fixing the house and once again just wanted to pressure me to wrap up installation. He was yet another person that confirmed the box shouldn't have been installed there, but unable to answer how it would be resolved. On March 14th, Chris G called me to tell me they have to charge me $100. On March 22nd, I received an email from Greenlight stating that they've "sent me multiple emails regarding the installation that have went unanswered (not true), that my account has been canceled and they are charging me $100 for the installation". So ultimately, they butchered the install, gave me no resolution after promising time and time again, bounced me all over for months, and now want to collect payment for their hack job and leave me on the hook for repairs.

My internet has been down for the past four days now, called them and they told me they don't know when they will fix my internet the worst customer service ever. I am thinking of switching. They are the worst.

Due to the heavy snow storm on Friday, March 3rd, we had over 150 customers that were out of service. Our crews had been working 12 hour days, including that Sunday and we brought crews in from Buffalo, Albany and Binghamton to assist. We also had our contractors assisting to get customers back in service - we asked all of our customers to please be patient, we were doing our best to get to everyone back up and in service as quickly as we could. The reason we could not give an eta was because some of the downed lines take an hour, some of them were taking a half hour, and if there is a cluster of them in one neighborhood we are addressing them together. So it was very difficult to give a date and time that service would be restored. This customer has since been back up and is in service.

I had indicated that I was interested in Greenlight on 15 December 2022. I foolishly responded to a promotion that included waiving of the installation fee and an ****** gift card, to be provided after installation. I then heard nothing from Greenlight for over a month – the next e-mail was received on 30 January. Then I received a text message indicating that free installation would only be free if completed on 31 January whilst appointments last. In other words, whereas I waited for Greenlight for over a month, they demanded immediate response from me. I then received multiple e-mails and texts throughout February.
Greenlight does actually say that if it is not installed within 30 days of the outside work being completed, you will be charged a $100.00 fee. They just don't mention when the outside work will be done, and that may be 6 weeks.
I decided to cut my losses and just absorb the $100.00 because I just don't trust them. I cannot comment on the actual internet service because I never actually used it. It's a pity though, ******** has had a monopoly in my area for years and I was hoping for a better outcome but Greenlight just isn't up to it.

Greenlight Networks lists in the terms and conditions the following: "If you no longer wish to have our service, please contact us at ###-###-#### or email us at *******@******************.com to cancel your order. You must notify us prior to the outside fiber being run to your home. Failure to do so may result in a $100 installation fee being charged to your account. An installation fee will be charged if the service is not installed within 30 days of outside work completion or cancelled prior." We are more than willing to work with our customers if they are having an issue scheduling the in-home installation within that 30 days. While we may have charged you the $100 fee, if you sign back up for service, you will not need to pay that outside fee again. We hope that you give Greenlight another try.
