      I had Shamrock Chimney Sweep come out to have just the pellet stove liner sweep(25ft liner in the brick chimney). I was quoted $ 75 dollars to do the job which I felt was really inexpensive compared to other quotes of $300-400 dollars. They arrived approx 2 hrs late from the three hour window that they provided. They then said that the job would be more involved and quoted me it would be $600 to sweep the chimney liner. Needless to say the job was not completed as the price $200-300 more than anyone else.***** Uxbridge MA

      Hired Shamrock Chimney to inspect my Chimney and wood stove. ***** the manager took 15 minutes on my roof, then told me I needed $1500.00 of work re-pointing my Chimney, which I had done by a professional two years ago. He said my bricks were going to fall off and damage my new roof.Then he sent his helper in to clean out my wood stove. He had a small plastic shop vac instead of a professional SS vac with Hepa filters. He turned on the vac and blew ash and soot over my family room. I immediately went out to tell ***** who was writing out my invoice and didn't bother to go in and see the damage. I called the office and over the course of a week and explaining what happened to three associates who said I would get a call back. Never happened, even after I sent them pictures. the worst expierence I have ever had. Check the BBB and see that they are not accredited and have a F rating. Do not hire this service.

      Called for a free estimate for brick pointing: got high oressure sales pitch, the technician and helper were ready to start immediately. The work was sloppy and amateurish. On seeing the work, I told the workers to pack up and get out, they argued wiith me but I insisted They insisted on being paid the down payment on the whole ******* I have to get a quality contractor to repair the shoddy,*********** they did.

      I contacted Shamrock on a price to replace my chimney caps. They found one of my flues with the heater and water heater deteriorated. They went and got a few fittings and completed the job. They also had to contend with a 3 year old , an unsure wife, and a barking dog. When my wife called me and explained the situation as I know this is common with 20 + year old heater flues.       Two men showed up in an old van. Only one man did the work. The other guy who was in charge talked on his phone most of the time he was there even when talking to me. It was also in a different language. I showed thisbguy where everything was and a chimney cleaning on two chimney's.. Told him had an issue with the top of one of the chimneys and wanted a quote on some re-cementing around the top. First he tried selling me a chimney liner. Then said the cost up top would be thirteen hundred dollars. I was quoted $250.00 last from different company. Told him to send me an estimate. When the worker was done on the roof he took down the ladder and he started putting it away. The boss said you have liquid ceosole on the rear chimney and should be washed with a cleaning compound. Cost $450.00. I said "why didn't you ask before he took the ladder down?" "He just told me about it." I agreed and the worker went back up and started undoing the wrong chimney cap. I said hey, "he's taking off the wrong one." He said "no he forgot to tighten some screws." I said "wait a minute, you were packed and ready to leave." He knew he was caught in a lie so he called up to his worker and he was doing the wrong one. Made me wonder if it rally needed to be done. So finally comes the vacuuming out the chimney plate in the basement and the insert in the living room. The worker brought the vacuum down and that thing ran for five minutes. I said to my wife, "I bet the guy is just sitting down there not doing a **** thing!" They were getting ready to leave and I asked about vacuuming out the living room insert? He said " oh my guy said it wasn't that dirty. I'm raising the ** flag on that statement. You cannot tell from above how dirty a chimney is. Total scam artist. Oh, almost forgot: I checked he clean out plate in the basement yesterday and I pulled 2 gallons of soot out!!! Never got an estimate on the repointing.

      Useless company. I wish that I had read the reviews. Fortunately they never did manage to get to our house. Three appointments were missed for a variety of 'reasons'. At that point I had wasted enough time in waiting for them, and gave up on them.Why can I not give zero stars?
