    The owner of the A & J Chimney company came to my house to view the chimney. I indicated to him that I am looking to install stainless steel liner. I also indicated that the chimney caps have fallen off over the years. The company owner showed me there were 1 or 2 out of 4 total caps were still in tact. He advised me that when he does work, he does a good job by doing a complete and thorough job. He further advised me not to worry because he would put the caps on all 4 chimney flues. The owner never came back to my house but sent the workers only. When the work was done, I asked the workers if they put the caps on all 4 flues. They said they only put the cap on the flue they worked on. I immediately called the company owner and he claimed that he did not remember promising me and denied that he promised me to put caps on all 4. He claimed that he will charge me extra for putting the caps on the rest 2. When he came to my house to get the job, he promised it but after getting the job, he did not keep his words. I paid a lot of money for this job and I would like him to keep the promise he made by putting the caps on the rest 2 or 3 flues.

    We took take of this complaint it was a misunderstanding by *** *** she signed a contract of the scope of work that was going be done which it didn't mention any thing about installing caps for her fireplaces but any way we went and installed a free cap that covers both fireplaces on March 11 2024

    Note: I, **********, did not misunderstand any part of the communication with the business. I requested the business honor their words. It took numerous phone calls and waiting patiently for over a year. On March 11, 2024, they finally placed the two caps and I was assured that **** did a great job looking at the photos he took. He took measures to secure the caps to prevent it from flying off during heavy wind or rain. I am satisfied with the effort and outcome. Thank you. **  ****
