I bought 2 tripod bags that would fit any tripod up to 45 long. So I bought 2. they would not close around the tripods. So I contacted the support. They said they could exchange them. After the return label wasn't prepaid, and I was expected to pay for shipping, I verified we were exchanging these products. "Hello ******* *****, my name is Charlie R: Thank you for contacting the Customer Service Department at B&H Photo Video and Pro Audio. Yes, this is being set up for exchange for item MAMBAG120PN once received back to us. " EXCHANGE: the act of giving or taking one thing in return for another. Now they want more money for the exchange?!? So now that I have paid for the return shipping "I'm very sorry for the confusion. Our website indicates that the original tripod bag you ordered holds a tripod with head up to "45 long. Te replacement tripod bag can store up to 47 inches. When an exchange is set up for a more expensive item we need to charge the difference in pricing before we can process it. Please let us know if we should cancel the replacement order and issue a refund instead." So this is what I call FALSE ADVERTISING. They sold me a product that doesn't do what the description said. When I wanted to sent it back, they LIED TO ME to make me pay for the shipping? A little more about me trying to verify this wasn't going to happen. "The ********* has a tapered end for a head hence the two internal measurements. Do you want to exchange one or both of the bags you have? Which bag do you want? Please let me know so I can forward this back to Customer Service so they can work out the final details. Please let me know if you require any further assistance. Thank you for choosing B&H. Still a matter of the 2 that I bought, that said it would fit any tripod up to 45 long . And they don’t, I could have looked closer and measured, but it said it would fit any. So what are we going to do? Exchange 1 for 1, or 2 for 2? The two I bought were advertised to fit.. what about the shipping charges? So how do I get what this company has promised. (So far every time there's any mistake or problem, BH has failed at service!)

Since this customer was thoughtful enough to post the same comments in Facebook three times, I will reply here with the same reply I emailed to him in response to the Facebook posts:

Thank you for your order and this feedback. We regret your dissatisfaction. I asked customer service to email a pre-paid return label so you can send back the products you cannot use at no cost. If you already sent back the return, please send a copy of the receipt showing how much you paid so we can see about reimbursing you.

The Vidpro tripod bags you originally purchased cost 14.99 each. We created s store credit for 29.98 which we now plan to apply to new order ********* for one MAMBAG120PN Manfrotto MBAG120PN Padded Tripod Bag, which costs 139.88. It is not in stock at this time, but we plan to send it as soon as we receive it from our supplier/

If you prefer a less expensive option, sales suggested the RUBD3048 Ruggard Deluxe Padded 48" Tripod Case which costs 59.95. Other similarly sized in-stock options are on our site at ************************* Please let us know if we should change the Manfrotto to the Ruggard or cancel the replacement order and issue a refund instead.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

 They sold me an item that did not do as it was advertised, they lied to me to get me to send it back at my cost. Offering an exchange an item, then charging the difference is not an exchange, it's a return.

 I would have been happy with them paying for shipping and me getting my money back for the items originally, but they offered the exchange. When I checked it was an exchange before paying to ship it, they verified it was an exchange.

I didn't feel it was needed at the time to make sure we both knew the word exchange meant,

They aren't willing to "exchange it". So I will take the refund for shipping and take my business elsewhere.
