  I have moved several times and this move with American National Movers was by far the worst experience I have had so far. On August 9th I emailed *********** Heart (who I believe is the owner but he would not confirm this with me) saying I would like to move forward with American National Movers. The quote was $2,900 with no additional/hidden fees (i.e. Long carry fees, or stair fees) and I was promised an ETA of 3-5 days after pick-up.The moment I paid the deposit communication on ******* end immediately declined. I could rarely get in touch with him. I would send emails and leave voicemails and not hear back for several days at a time. We scheduled the move for September 8th. On the evening of September 6th he tried to re-schedule the delivery date from 3-5 days to two weeks. The contract company that came to pick up my stuff on September 8th (Efficient Relocation), was not aware that they were picking my stuff up until the day prior (September 7th). One guy showed up to move my stuff around 10/11am and another guy didn't show up until hours later. They did not have any moving blankets, tape, or plastic wrap to protect my furniture. They had to run out and get that stuff. Completely unprepared. My stuff sat in their warehouse for NINE DAYS. My things arrived September 23rd at 7:02pm. American National Movers claims they will use their own trucks but they did not for mine and they contracted out terrible companies to move my things. My things went from one Penske truck, to a warehouse, to another truck. ***** did not respond to my emails, calls, or voicemails. They had 80% of the money and all of my belongings. I have emails, screenshots of my furnitures location, and other proof that this company is a scam. They do not honor the SIGNED CONTRACT. Steer clear of them.

  Hello,I am sorry that your experience was not what you expected we do regret hearing that. Firstly, you were not charged any hidden fees and I made sure of that. Secondly. Upon checking your file when we did speak you were adament about a cheaper price. Long distance moves at the rate of $2,900 may have delays because your shipment is being combined to be able to accommodate to your budget. Being that your shipment is combined we cannot and do not guarantee delivery dates, we just provide general windows. As a consumer it is up to you to pay for the added for for a faster or Guaranteed delivery date and you chose not to. We generally do not haul small loads directly at this rate when we are combining your shipment which is why your load got subcontracted. Lastly, I checked our email correspondence and I did respond to all of your emails as well.
