I recently completed the one-year course at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN), and unfortunately, my experience has been disappointing. As a psychotherapist, I was looking to expand my knowledge but found the material in the course to be largely repetitive and not particularly valuable for someone with my background. After six weeks, I decided to withdraw, only to learn that despite being in the program for a short time, I would still owe more than half of the tuition. This, combined with the realization that this program does not lead to any form of board certification, was extremely frustrating. It is merely an introductory certificate for health coaches, and even that requires further coursework to hold any real value in the field. The cost of the programover $5,000feels excessive for what is ultimately a basic introduction to health coaching. While I did complete all of the modules, I missed one of the required coaching sessions due to a family emergency, as I am a caregiver for my 92-year-old mother-in-law. Despite attending three out of four of these sessions, which I also found to be of little benefit, I had to pay $75 to reschedule the missed session. When I signed on to attend the rescheduled session, I was shocked to discover that it had been scheduled for 3 AM instead of 3 PMan utterly absurd time for a 1.5-hour coaching session. Therefore, I was marked absent again.I reached out to IIN to resolve this, only to be told I would have to pay another $75 to reschedule, again. After investing $5,000 in a course that requires more work to be professionally meaningful, I refuse to give them another cent. The overall experience has been disappointing and feels like a money pit rather than a worthwhile educational investment. They were told to keep their certificate, despite that one item being the only thing not completed after a years worth of work. Wasted money and time ~ and a hard ****** learned.

Its a business.Course content was okwhat I was able to learn with the course was kind of applicable for the most part, but I have a background in fitness, yoga and nutrition so a lot of it was things I already knew. With added nuances from peoples personal experiences.I made it to just about the end of the course but due to being hospitalized for mental illness, which caused me to lose my job, and was told sorry about your circumstances, let us know if you can make payments if not it will be sent to collections. So I am unable to complete the course and will be financially failed. Which is very unfortunate. I understand, its a businessbut not having options for people is very disheartening and seemingly against their goal for accessibility.I kinda wish I wouldve just completed a post grad certification through a university. I think the standards of education wouldve been higher as well. I feel like I took a course from a coach on social media and if I wouldve tried to take the ***** exam I wouldve failed. If you want to become a board certified health coach, dont waste your money or time here.

I am very dissapointed in the quality of this program. I was honest when inquiring that I have a MSN and I was assured the information would still be useful. I stuck it out hoping that as the course progressed the lesssons would become more indepth and valuable. The entirity of the course is 30min clips of surface information on a variety of health/lifestyle topics. No information given was enough to learn from but rather served as an introduction to a topic that perhaps you would like to learn more about. The "coaching" information was the quality of IG reels in regards to depth of information. I am very dissapointed that I spent any money on this let alone $4400. Hard ****** learned. I did email them asking for some sort of refund if I am willing to give up my "life time access" to the course materials and was declined. I hope this saves someone the expense.

I was being charged by them for about a year. A random $25 I called and couldnt get ahold of anyone. They kept sending me to a voicemail, Id leave one and never get a call back. I contacted my bank and they sent me a new card. Somehow this charge was going through to my new card I spoke to someone that told me To cancel my card- I stated I did for the second time but these charges needed to stop. I didnt have an account with them. She told me to email a different email than previously given. They responded to the email basically telling me they didnt have a charge and I had the wrong company. Asked for screenshots which I sent. Days later I called and spoke to someone who told me the account belonged to a ***** (not my name). Stated she couldnt help me but sent me to the same number I had already left voicemails with. The next day I got an email stating that the account belonged to me- they were now using my name. I emailed back stating that they were lying because the name on the account is actually *****. That I was going to be filing a report with my bank and the bbb. Then I got a reply on 11/1 stating they would refund me and they apologized. Said it would take 3-5 days. On 11/8 they asked for an update to close the case. I informed them that I still had no refund. They said it takes **** days. On 11/13 I emailed saying it had been 13 days still no refund and got an email reply back stating they were experiencing high volume and would respond as quickly as possible. Its now 11/18 no reply, no refund.

Very organized and well thought out program! I really enjoyed all the content, and increased my integrative healthcare knowledge. The learning was amazing, and I am truly excited to start my own business! I am adding this to my schedule part-time. I have been working as a ******* Laboratory Scientist for 23 years. Well done IIN!!!
