    I have been receiving attempts to bill me from this business for 5 years after I told them to cancel my account and they refuse to quit.

    I have contacted IAPWE multiple times by email confirming account cancellation, have filled out the cancellation form on the website, and still am being charged monthly, despite written assurance by the customer service team that my account had been removed.

    I canceled my membership with this company several months ago and have continued to be charged a membership fee despite contacting customer service each month and being told they would take care of it.

    I signed up with IAPWE two years ago with a free trial to have access to writing jobs. I cancelled the subscription via their form a short time later. Ever since, they keep trying to withdraw money from me via ****** ************************* $5 a month over two years. I don't know what to do about it. I have filled out their cancellation form, I have emailed them directly, I have emails showing IAPWE assured me my account was cancelled, but I keep getting notified by ****** they are trying to withdraw money. $139.72 is how much they say I owe now as of September 2025, and that's how much they tried to pull from me. Please help me sever ties with them. I do not owe them any money. I haven't used their services and I've been attempting to cancel for two years now. Thank you.

    Hi! I tried to cancel my subscription with IAPWE (read: scam) back on July 8th. You have to cancel through email. They emailed me back asking for my account number which I provided. They sent me a confirmation saying it was cancelled. They then charged me the following day. I emailed them again saying that the cancellation was confirmed, yet they charged me anyway. They sent me the same email asking for my account number which I provided. They sent me ANOTHER confirmation that it was cancelled. They charged me again on August 9th. I sent yet another email saying I was going to seek out the BBB if they charged me again. They sent me the same robotic email asking for my account number. I sent it. They sent me ANOTHER confirmation that it was cancelled. I was charged yet AGAIN on September 9th. I cancelled the billing agreement with ****** so hopefully will not be charged again but I want the 3 months refunded so I want to file an official complaint and hopefully they will not do this to anyone else. I prefer to be refunded for my entire year of subscription since I not once received any service that they advertised. Terrible service, not once receiving any good leads on jobs and they consider themselves an organization which is horrible. Thank you.

    Exactly a month ago, I wrote IAPWEs support center to cancel my subscription since I dont really use it. They told me they would cancel my membership since users cannot do it themselves through the website. Yesterday, I was charged for the subscription again through ******. I dont even have a ****** account, so I cannot cancel the automated payments through there. The people from IAPWE told that my membership was already cancelled and that they were gonna start a refund request for the payment. But they havent. I do not know how to escalare this situation because it affects my finances and credit card schedule payment.

    i am having problems with ************************ i started a free trial but the problem is that they kept charging me and the bigger problem is that they automated the payment and took *****USD even if i did never link my credit card with ******

    I am writing to report ongoing, unauthorized billing by the International Association of Professional Writers & Editors (IAPWE), despite multiple cancellation attempts. I initially signed up believing this was a reputable freelance writing platform, but shortly after, I realised the membership was not what I expected and attempted to cancel.I have sent numerous emails requesting cancellation and confirmation that my membership has been terminated. I have received no response, and IAPWE continues to attempt charges on my account. This is unacceptable and appears to be a pattern of behavior that other writers have also reported.I believe I was misled into providing payment information under the impression that the service was legitimate and easy to cancel, when in fact it has been incredibly difficult to get any response or resolution.

    The complainant has falsely stated that they were charged without authorization. The complainant was required to agree to our payment terms on multiple separate screens before being able to create their account and the complainant cancelled their own subscription as per our instructions, yet still has an outstanding balance of $63.84 in unpaid membership dues. The complainant is engaging in blatant defamation and this complaint and is in direct violation of the BBB's own complaint policies.

    Based on the numerous complaints against this organization who has clearly ignored cancellation requests, I am making my complaint. I canceled my "membersip" on 06/16/25 (billed 06.17.25) 24 hours before the new billing on 06.17.25. Since each complaint I've read the same pattern seems to take place (ignore and refuse refunds and cancellations) my complaint is warranted. This organizations has charged my account knowing that the account and membership was canceled. I've seen other companies who do this, one example was a home warranty company. The federal government at one point charged and convicted officers in that company. Given the complaints here and the similar pattern established, I must conclude that the charge was intentional. I DEMAND A REFUND or I will do a chargeback at the bank if necessary.

    The complainant was instructed multiple times on how to cancel their subscription through their own PayPal account. The complainant's claim that there is any intentional billing against their wishes does not make sense given that they have been provided with instructions on how to cancel their account multiple times. We can confirm that the complainant's account is now cancelled.
