For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. The response topic lists the name *****. For years now, I've been getting occasional calls, asking for a ****** *****. Every time, I would tell them there has never been a ****** ***** at this address, and this has been the case for 62 years. I wish these clowns would correct their records. This has always been the ****** Household since it was built, and my father ****** ****** (not *****) bought it, and none of us has ever been in debt.]

This company just illegally garnished my wages. They won't return my phone calls, they won't tell me what it's from. I don't owe anybody any money. Even so, they gave me a certain amount of time to get ahold of them before they would start garnishing to settle the matter but refuse to call me back or answer the phone and now have taken half my paycheck from me like a thief in the night. I can't even pay my rent now for this month and I am completely screwed. I need help. Someone please help me.Business Response

I have been receiving messages from North Star Location Services for months! I have called them, reported to BBB and Do Not Call List and they are still calling my cell! The calls cost me money every time they call with my phone plan! They have called 4/8 Jarrid D*** plus two more calls and 4/17, 4/21, 4/25, and another date with a Craig D***** from North Star! I called ###-###-#### with Ext **** & Ext ****. The numbers being left are from ###-###-####, ****, and the 888 numbers which are blocked! I called back and spoke with the same lady as before, she claimed my number was removed and I got huffy with her telling her I am still getting calls! I told her I reported to BBB and Do Not Call List, and they are still calling! I asked her, why are they harassing me!!!.......and she finally asked me if I knew a ***** ****** (*******) do not know the spelling! I told her "NO!" I was furious at this point about them harassing me and demanded to know why they keep calling and she hung up on me! Before the clink, she said that my number was removed before and I said why are you still harassing me!!!! This is ********! I Goggled a ***** ****** and a baseball player came up, obviously a scammer got my number!Business Response

I have been receiving repeated phone calls and text messages from NorthStar over the last couple of weeks requesting a call back for some unknown credit related issue with ** ****. Not only have I never done any business with ** ****, I checked my credit with the 3 credit reporting agencies with no reports of any credit issues or late payments. I keep receiving calls from multiple numbers from a company called Notthstar Location Services. Many different people have left messages asking me to call back. I googled the company name and found our they are a debt collection agency. I have excellent credit. I checked my credit report but nothing shows as delinquent. I finally called them back and asked them to remove my phone number from their records. They kept asking for my name but I told them I wasn't giving them any personal info besides the phone number they already had. They were supposed to remove my number but I'm still getting calls from them.Business Response

I am writing to formally dispute a debt currently being handled by Northstar Collection Agency. This debt was originally associated with ********* ***** **** ********** and has since been sold to your agency.
Under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and the Fair Credit Reporting Act, I requested verification of the debt from Northstar Collection Agency. To date, no sufficient verification has been provided, which legally necessitates the removal of any liability on my part.
Please confirm receipt of this complaint and advise on the actions you will be taking to resolve this matter.

Company claiming to be Northstar Location Services in Buffalo NY is calling nonstop from multiple phone numbers; often times do not leave a voicemail message; just say "Hello?" One male individual left a message instructing me to call him back at Northstar Location Services which is apparently a third party collection agency. I made the mistake of calling back; got bounced around with no answer and did not leave a message. This seems to have made the problem worse; now they are calling non-stop. I have already blocked the number but they just keep calling from different numbers. I have checked all my accounts and I do not owe anyone anything. I pay all my bills on time and I have not received anything in the mail stating that I owe anyone anything.Business Response

Someone from this company keeps calling and asking to be contacted without any information as to the reason or what this company does. After searching online, found they are a debt collection company. Our debts, except for mortgage (which is current and on time) are paid and a credit check shows nothing outstanding, late or even due. Our credit rating is well over 800, so not seeing why we keep getting called and NOT about to answer to be harassed over something they seem to have ginned up. Ridiculous.
