I used movers today to move my Manhattan apartment. The movers were extremely professional and worked very efficiently. They showed up exactly on time, which was really impressive.There was a minor discrepancy on my final bill, but I believe it was an honest mistake. It was resolved quickly and professionally, which really impressed me.

I recently had a great experience with Great Movers. They provided me with a reasonable quote. The movers themselves were friendly, efficient, and professional. They managed to complete the move within the estimated time and were very respectful towards my belongings and the spaces they were working in. 5 starsThe moving company I used was great! They offered the best pricing, were diligent, and efficient. When I contacted them initially, they responded quickly with a detailed quote. They were easy to contact via email, and *****, who was part of my assigned moving crew, even texted me the day before the move to ask if I had any special instructions for him. 5 starsThe quote we received was very close to actual expense, which we were please about. We have lots of small fragile ceramic / pottery pieces and we were happy with the care they took in wrapping all our items. The 3 movers worked hard all day and were very efficient.Review fromKris A

1 starI used Great Movers at the beginning of the month, and if I could give zero stars I would. Not only did it take TEN hours to move a very organized 1-bedroom/1-bathroom apartment from ******* to *** but they damaged my $200 garbage can (admittedly, very overpriced), along with other inexpensive items. The difference between the original estimate and final amount was $500 - because they sent 2 inexperienced men who took way too long, seemingly running up the clock. I completed their very detailed questionnaire as detailed and accurate as I could, so there should have been no surprises. I purposely took out what I thought was enough cash so that I wouldn't have to use a credit card (and be charged a fee) - and I didn't have enough, so the price was even higher with the fee. After speaking with a representative (who FULLY agreed with all of my complaints and that it should have taken less time and cost less money), I was offered a refund of $200 - to cover the cost of my garbage can. I was supposed to hear back with a better solution, and no response. Overall a horrible and disappointing experience, and I will definitely use another company going forward, and never recommend them to anyone. AND the laughable part is, I keep getting emails asking me to leave a review...Review fromEmmett P

5 starsI never write reviews but my moving experience was SO good that I have to add another five star rating to NYC Great Movers. I started my search at BBB.org and saw that they are Accredited with great reviews, and I also checked some other review sites. All great ratings so I went to the website to find out more. The site was easy to navigate, with a form to itemize your goods and furniture. I got an estimate quickly and, I'll be honest, it was lower than I expected so I did not bother to get competitive bids. My moving coordinator reached out via phone, but I also got regular emails to confirm details. The night before my move, the team leader reached out via text to see if anything had changed or if I needed more supplies. On moving day, the two-man team worked efficiently and quickly. Even though they were about 15 minutes late due to traffic, they made up for it and the loading was completed on time. They wrapped my antique furniture and valuables very carefully, and not a single thing was broken or damaged in the move. The gentlemen were also friendly and polite, and they made the whole stressful day so much better. There was a small surcharge (expected, because I needed a couple more boxes) but there was no upselling or unexpected fees. The whole experience was great from beginning to end, and I can recommend NYC Great Movers without hesitation!Review fromTocara H

5 starsGreat movers helped us move from *** to ******* and did a fantastic job. They were easy to work with leading up to the move and checked in the night before for an updated inventory and to confirm everything. They were incredibly efficient, friendly, and professional. Can't recommend enough!
