The first time I contacted them via email and I received no reply. I then called and spoke with a gentleman who told me that a woman had my case and I should have received an email and call from her. I explained I had not. He then agreed to handle my request of hiring InCorp Services as my Registered Agent (RA) and assisting me with the paperwork for registering them in ******. He instructed me how to fill out the form and what to put, including the address of their office. He claimed that OR charges $50 for this service. I filed and over a month later InCorp was still not listed as my RA. I also was taking on the task of being my own RA and decided that I do not need to pay one as I am not that busy and can figure it out myself. When I called I spoke with a woman that proceeded to tell me how the delay of them being listed was not their fault, but that it was my fault that I put the wrong address for them. I told her that I was told by an InCorp employee to put that. She argued. I told her I wanted to cancel service. She told me that even if I removed InCorp as my registered agent today, which could not happen, they would not refund my money. I explained that InCorp has literally not done anything for me and I paid for a service which has not happened. I asked to speak with a manager. She argued. I asked again. Finally she put me on hold. She came back to the line to tell me that the manager was on a call and would call me back. She took my number and assured me I would receive a call from the manager that day.I have not heard from InCorp since. Later that day I went to the ******************** of the *** of *************** and had InCorp removed as my registered agent. I want a full refund of my $129 as I have seen gross incompetence from InCorp and they have not shown me that they are worth my hire. Had I spoken with the manager, I would have also mentioned that OR does not charge $50 for change of RA, it is free. So I should get my $50 refunded as well.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:I was told by a phone number ********** twice on Friday that all of this was resolved and I owed $0 and that you are no longer my registered agent. Now I get notice that I owe $1200? This is not acceptable.
Sincerely,

I signed up for registered agent services for a new business in December of 2020. I paid up front for a year of services. Apparently it auto-renewed and the company emailed me an invoice for the next year. I recently received a call from a collection agency for unpaid services, late/mailing/collections fees. This was the first I had seen of any lateness. The email on file ********************* is no longer accessible due to an issue with the ATT/Yahoo merger. Incorp had my phone number, mailing address and I never received any communication from them. If they would have contacted me in another way I would have instantly paid my bill. I called Incorp immediately after talking to the collection company. I expressed my concern with not being contacted and would have appreciated them trying another way to reach out to me. I told the woman on the phone that I have a new email address. She did not take it down or change it. I inquired about canceling the service and she said I cannot do this because they are my registered agent with the ***********. I then followed up by their website chat to ask for a reach out and to give my new email address. I have heard nothing and had no acknowledgement to date from anyone. This feels like a bad practice to not try to work with your customer or try to reach them or work with them, especially since once they are the listed agent it is very difficult to get out of working with them. I have never had an unpaid bill in my life and if they would have looked at my credit history or just reached out to me, I wouldn't have this blemish on my credit. I would have paid the amount due immediately.Business Response

InCorp acted as my registered agent in ******** for a portion of my 25 years. My S Corporation restored pre-WWI vintage metal roofs. I discontinued any work any in the state in 2021. My accountant submitted a "Final Return" on Form 510 dated July 26th. My tax returns for 2021 were on a "valid extension".InCorp is insisting on bogus payments and has gone so far as to hire a company to collect over $1000 from me. I responded on July 1st by letter:"July 1, 2022 InCorp *************************************************************************** Re: Account ***** In response to your inquiry, my company ceased work in ******** during 2021. My ************************************************************************ the state InCorp acted as agent. My accountant reconfirmed this intention in response to a letter I received from ********, etal, dated 6/28. At the *** tax submission time period, I will be completing other forms for the state of Maryland.During 2022, there has been zero activity--sales, work, etc, in above state. For understandable reasons, the sequence of the official documentation required for a company closure has perhaps led to a misunderstanding.Very truly yours,************************************:********************** CPAs ****************************************************************"In restrospect, my final comment in my letter was too kind.I will not respond to their email such as their recent 9/30 email; letter only. Today am resending above July 1st letter to InCorp home office and cc their collection agency.Business Response

Thank you for providing the detailed feedback regarding your concerns with InCorp and the cancellation of Roof Menders Inc. I understand that a final tax return may have been submitted with the **** however InCorp Services, Inc. remains listed as the registered agent with the ******** and ********** Secretary of State offices. I have attached copies of the Secretary of State records for quick reference. Due to the obligations of a Registered Agent, we are legally compelled to provide service until we are removed from public record or a dissolution filing is completed.
This information was also communicated with the consumer on 9/30/2022. Please feel free to contact me with any questions regarding the cancellation policy as we are more than happy to work out an amicable resolution.

According to the Secretary of State website in Illinois, this clients business entity was " Involuntarily Dissolved", in January of 2018, meaning it was not dissolved correctly. Per the signed terms of use with InCorp Services, the client was made aware of the correct way to cancel services with InCorp Services, and that was and still has not been done. In light of the above explanation, I will still contact this client and attempt to work to an amicable resolution to his complaint.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
As he mentioned he have talked and i was supposed to receive some sort of final confirmation and possible overpaid refund but still hasn't received anything yet.

I personally made a call and left a message informing the client that we had closed out the account as well as an automated email goes to the email address that is linked to the account. Beyond that I am not sure what else we can provide to this client.
