This company did work on my house to repair water damage. I decided not to move forward with them to finish the work. I contacted them and told them this and asked them to send me a bill for the work done. In that bill they had charges for work that had never been done. Example: they charged me ****** for a dumpster that I never had. They charged me for disconnecting my washer and dryer and it had never been moved. They charged me for removing contents in rooms, I had already had everything moved by another company. They charged me for removing a door that had been removed by the water clean-up company and charged me to reinstall it which I did on my own. They charged me for painting a window jam and door, I have no window jams and no doors were ever painted bc they are all still dirty with old finger prints. I asked them to remove these charges that totaled *******. No call no discussion and now have put a lien on my home. The reason I went with another company is because I did not like their work. My house is now now by a new company that did a wonderful job. I have been in contact with elite construction to settle the bill and I still want to settle but I will not pay for work that was never done.

    Good morning,

We were contracted to complete this job. First we were put on hold on the job due to the holidays per the customers request. During this time, the customer called and said that she didn't want to finish the job bc her family member got into an accident and she wanted to focus on her family member so to close the job so that she could do that. Two weeks later she told us that the reason she wanted to close the job was bc she ran into a contractor that she previously used and liked and she wanted them to work on her house. It was more convenient for her bc her dogs know that contractor. She specifically said it was nothing to do with out work. We were never notified of the dissatisfaction or given the opportunity to finish the job to make sure she was satisfied. We did bill her for the work completed. There was a billing issue that was rectified. We did not put a lien on her home. We only sent out a 15 day notice to lien per ************ regulations.

Since this was written we have settled the bill.

    Thank you,

    Elite Brothers Construction

Hired to rebuild my home after water damage. Delayed the process as much as possible to the point I had To move back in to a nonhabitable home (still dont have hot water downstairs and have to hire a plumber because they didnt connect stuff right) and they began demanding full payment before finishing the job. They were found consuming alcohol on my property, refuse to fix things in the home Im not satisfied with forcing me to sign paperwork saying Im satisfied with it and not physically leaving my property until that was signed despite me bringing up numerous issues that needed to be fixed and telling me it was only for the floors and painting which was in fact a lie. They sent a 15 day notice of intent to lien after being paid in full despite me being unsatisfied with the work because they are unreliable and do not wish to be held accountable for anything they do. I requested a waiver of lien after receiving confirmation they were paid in full and they cant even fill it out correctly. These people are in business to try and scam you. ZERO EMPATHY RESPECT AND SELF ACCOUNTABILITY.

In regards to the complaint mentioned. We started the project on July 17, 2023 and completed the project August 21,2023 within a 5 week turnaround. The homeowner moved back in with in this time frame due to the exhaustion of their insurance proved alternative live expense. When the homeowner moved back in there was a fully functioning kitchen making the home habitable. The only plumbing required by contract was the disconnection and reconnection of the kitchen sink, dishwasher and garbage disposal. The water heater was beyond our scope of work and was not touched.

With regard to the alcohol issue. The bottles that were shown in the photo were not from us. Those bottles were left there from the homeowners family and family friend. While our subcontractor was working the family and family friend were in the home drinking and pulled out a gun and was waiving it around. Our subcontractor left that day early due to this incident.

We completed all work that was contracted for and we asked the homeowner to sign the certificate of completion. The homeowner mentioned a few items they were to satisfied with so we completed those to obtain the signature to release to her insurance. This also included paying out of our pocket for an HVAC company to come out and re-program the thermostat for the homeowner that was also beyond our scope of work.

The 15 day notice of intent to lien was sent to the homeowner according the our contractor rights. We do this for all completed projects that are not paid right away.

I have attached a revised unconditional final lien waiver.

We have addressed all issues within our means to rectify with the homeowner that was within our scope of contracted work.

Should there be any questions, we are happy to respond.

    Thank you.

I am rejecting this response because:
Time stamps on pictures of the alcohol in the home were before we even moved back into the home and work was completed. I moved In August 13, and this picture was taken July 31 at 6:05 pm when I stopped By after work to pick up mail.
your unconditional waiver states that you are still disputing $25,183.37 of the project and therefor is not unconditional until you send one stating the amount of disputed claims is $0 you are saying I have Not paid in full and this is harassment  because you are lying as you have been paid in full. Your work is sloppy my floor is lifting up in multiple areas, you painted over nails and staples left by the abatement company the baseboards arent properly attached to the wall, my washer and dryer was not installed when I moved in and the laundry room trim is missing. You refuse to provide me with the subcontractors license number which has been requested on 6 different occasions therefore I can Assume he does not have one and you are attempting to hide it
    Sincerely,

Nobody  else was present on my property until August18 as this was a written legal agreement. I moved Into my home August 16 and picture was taken and is time stamped July 31. The house was empty and *************** had not moved in any belongings proving your claims are false. I would Be happy to email you a copy of the documents you sent me in multiple occasions harassing me on various occasions. There are no windows located near the center of the master bedroom and upstairs hallway where flooring is lifting as windows are attached to walls so they can look outside so there is no way your claims of rain would have caused the damage. A licensed contractor would understand where windows are placed in buildings and how that works. Additionally in the *************** all subcontractors must have their own licenses before conducting business. You can contact the ***************************** for more information on these requirements. The subcontractor also falsely misrepresented himself by completing work on his own and charging me separately than the claim while unlicensed.
