      Anderson Business has marketing strategy to attract clients. Once I signed up and paid for this package, I scheduled a meeting with an advisor. It will tell me that I have to pay additional amount to complete the business trust, which they didn't inform you. It cost additional another $3000. I thought it was getting a deal when I signed up and no one told me of additional cost. I also paid for a subscription for $35/month, but now it cost $75/month in 2024. I asked a question and it took the legal advisor 1-2 weeks to answer. Not worth the price. Part of the package, I also get bookkeeping; however, you have to enter everything yourself. I have contact the bookkeeper since February and March. The response is slow. I contact ***** in February 25 March 2, March 3, March 6, 2024 and I haven't heard back from the Anderson Advisor.

      We would like to resolve any concerns you have and would like to address each of the items you've mentioned in your complaint. 

      First, regarding: "...they didn't inform you. It cost additional another $3000". 

      You are referencing the price of a Living Trust. During our event, it is made very clear on the slides, and the sales page online what is included and what's not included. I've attached the web page with the services listed to this response. At no time do we say that a Living Trust is included in the package, or is it on the website. We have never had anyone think the Living Trust was included in the $2,997 Business Essentials package, that you have.  

      Second, regarding: "I also paid for a subscription for $35/month, but now it cost $75/month in 2024." 

      The price of our subscription service, Platinum, did increase slightly in 2024 but your subscription did NOT increase to $75. Our team has reached out to you several times to work with you on the pricing but has not heard back from you. 

      Third, regarding I asked a question and it took the legal advisor 1-2 weeks to answer. 

      You submitted three requests online through our client portal. All three were answered within the timeframe quoted on the site, 5-7 business days. That being said, we notify all Platinum clients that you can call in anytime during business hours to spea with an Attorney. Occasionally there may not be someone available at the time you call in and we typical call back the same day or at the latest the next morning. In addition, we have an open knowledge room for Platinum clients that runs from 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM pacific time. The knowledge room has Attorneys, CPAs, and other professionals in the online room available to answer any questions real time. 

      Fourth, regarding I also get bookkeeping; however, you have to enter everything yourself.

      The Anderson digital bookkeeping is included in the package you purchase as a free bonus. Included in the bonus is a user-friendly template spreadsheet. This is listed on the sales page and described in detail during the event. Our team has been willing to do more and assign you a bookkeeper to help walk you through the spreadsheets and explain the data entry process with managing ones books. You had several conversations with this bookkeeper at no charge. 

      Last, you are disputed $6,000 in services. We are not sure why you are disputing the charges as every item you purchased plus several of the bonus items that were free, have all been fulfilled. We have included documentation of every service item being completed. In addition, a signed agreement showing what is included in the digital bookkeeping product.

      Again, we want to assist and resolve any issues you may have but we don't see any warranted reason for a refund.

      I paid Anderson Advisors $3,234.00 on 6/12/23 to form an LLC for me as a method of asset protection. It's now over 8 months later and the work still hasn't been completed. When I try to book a call with an advisor they claim they are booked 4 months out. I have to follow up ***** times to get a response. I spoke with ******************* on 1/10/24 and asked for a refund. He told me that they would do the work and I should speak with *****************************. After another 8 weeks, 8-10 follow-**** and more requests for a refund. Nothing got done and no refund was given.

      Our sales manager, ****, emailed a comprehensive breakdown of your purchased services and their fulfillment dates on 3/7/2024. 
      During a consultation with one of our senior attorneys, *****, that took place on 3/19/2024, he addressed all of your residual concerns related to your Estate Plan and Pension.
      ******* reiterated this information on 3/22/2024. These communications outline the services rendered and their corresponding fulfillment dates.
      During the period from 03/07/2024 -03/22/2024, you worked closely with *******, resulting in the drafting and signing of all meeting minutes and assignment of interest forms by 3/18/2024. Your interactions with ******* indicated that you were satisfied with the resolutions provided. I have attached the email interaction for the record. Based on these factors, you would not be eligible for a refund, as all services outlined in your agreement have been rendered.

      I recently decided to cancel my services because this company just takes money for little to no service. I changed my Registered Agents for my business well before the renewal deadline and inform the ** well before I did. Despite that the company decided to charge me for RA for a whole year for which they are not even my RA despite me sharing timeline evidences. Out of $217 charged only $62 is for legitimate service provided whereas the $155 charge was for a future renewal that was never renewed for 2024-25

Initially, it was determined that we would be unable to refund you for the fee as the renewal had already been filed, however, this was a misunderstanding on the part of the representative that looked into the account and we would like to sincerely apologize for that.       I signed on with Anderson Business Advisors at one of their seminars. We spent $12,000 for upper tier service. This has been the biggest mistake I have ever made! We have had nothing but problems since day one. Over a four-year timeframe, our taxes have not been filed on time, extensions were not filed on time and documents were missed when our returns were filed. Every year! This has resulted in fine after fine. Each time I contact my tax advisor for assistance, it literally takes months for anything to happen, and always requires my constant follow up with them to make sure they stick to what they say theyre going to do to help me. Ive gone months without any correspondence, even though I was told theyd be back with me in about a week. This happens with each and every incident. After four years of this treatment, I finally fired them as my tax advisor. Then I received a mail from the *** indicating that my last extension wasnt filed on time and I was being fined about $5000 plus interest. When I contacted my tax advisor, I was told they could help me this time but I would be charged since Im no longer their client. Every time weve had an issue, it seems to be because the person that was working on our taxes has moved to a different department. I feel like weve been shuffled around since weve been customers, and because of this, among other things, weve never had a satisfactory transaction with Anderson.Ive read through the other complaints lodged by other customers. Weve ALL had the same, very poor service.

      Hello ***, Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We strive to provide the highest level of service to our tens of thousands of clients every day and in some cases clients don't get the answers they want causing frustration. We understand that dealing with taxes and the *** can be stressful and not an enjoyable experience. We also understand you're not happy with the outcome provided by the ***. For our team to file a client's tax returns we need to receive the information to file the return prior to the deadline. If at any point the client knows they will be unable to provide the required items prior to the deadline it's up to the client to request an extension with the ***. We will file the extension request on behalf of our client, but only when requested through our online form. 

      It appears that the *** Notice for the late filing of the 2021 tax return was due to an extension not being filed timely. We do not see that you requested our team to file an extension on your behalf until after the deadline passed. We have an online tax extension form to request the filing of your extension for the business return and that was completed after the deadline. It is the responsibility of the taxpayer to provide the necessary information to file timely extensions and returns. We can not file for an extension for clients without knowing if they want us to.

      Although the request was sent after the deadline, our team called the *** on your behalf to attempt penalty abatement of these 2021 penalties. In March of 2023, we received a response from the ***. The penalty abatement was denied for 2021. However, the penalties for the 2019 and 2020 late filing were removed. Your tax documents were submitted to the tax team past the extended filing date for the 2019 and 2020 returns as well, which is why there were penalties incurred in those years. While we could not get the *** to waive those penalties due to the agency's policies, we did ensure the penalties for the 2019 and 2020 late filing were removed. At the time of the notice, the penalties for 2021 were $3,780. Upon denial of the penalty abatement, these penalties should have been paid to avoid accruing additional interest. 

      You were not billed for the time with the *** in March of 2023 as a courtesy. Although the outcome determined by the *** wasn't exactly what you hoped for, we were able to take care of 2 of the 3 years of penalties.

      We are sorry for any delays in communication with our tax team that you experienced and outlined in your comments. Again, we strive to meet the expectations of turnaround times on communication with our clients and during the Tax Filing deadline it can result in longer than expected response times. We have made several changes to make that experience better and will continue to listen to client feedback and do better to meet the expectations of our clients.

      Dear BBB,I am writing to file a formal complaint against Anderson Advisors due to a series of unsatisfactory experiences and unfulfilled promises regarding the Business Essentials Package I signed up for in February 2022.Details of the Complaint:Incorrect Advice Regarding *** Formation:I was advised to set up an *** in ******* as a property management company, despite the majority of my properties being located in ********** and I live in California. I am now informed that the *** needs to be registered in **********, resulting in duplicated fees and compromising the corporate veil protection initially promised.Land Trust Issues:Despite multiple attempts over the past six months, I have been unable to reach a responsible party to assist with the setup of a land trust for my home. My initial advisor has resigned, and subsequent attempts to contact someone for assistance have been fruitless. This lack of communication and support is unacceptable.Difficulty in Contacting the Company:Anderson Advisors has proven to be extremely difficult to contact by phone. It appears that meaningful assistance is only available upon signing up for their monthly attorney membership. This creates an unfair and burdensome condition for customers who have already paid an initial fee for services that have not been adequately delivered.

      I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the tax services provided by Anderson Advisors. In March, I engaged their services and was promised completion within 8 weeks. However, it has now been 20 weeks and my taxes remain incomplete. This delay has resulted in an IRS fine of $1760, which I find deeply concerning.Beyond the delay, I've identified numerous errors in my returns, amounting to several hundred thousand dollars. Such inaccuracies are not only financially distressing but also potentially legally problematic. I have attempted to communicate my concerns through multiple emails and phone calls, but regrettably, I have not received any response or assistance from their team. This lack of communication exacerbates the frustration and anxiety I am experiencing.What compounds my disappointment is that I paid a premium fee for their services, roughly ten times more than what I typically pay my regular tax preparer. I had anticipated receiving top-notch, professional assistance, but unfortunately, this has not been the case.I am genuinely concerned about the repercussions these unresolved issues may have on my financial standing and reputation, particularly with the **** Given the circumstances, I am left with no choice but to explore alternative options to rectify the situation and ensure the accurate and timely filing of my taxes. However, I firmly believe that Anderson Advisors should take the responsibility to inform me if they are incapable of fulfilling their commitment to their clients.I am reaching out to the Better Business Bureau in the hope that you can intervene and facilitate a resolution. I seek your assistance in holding Anderson Advisors accountable for their lack of communication, extensive delay, errors in tax returns, and overall failure to deliver the services for which I paid.

      The *** Penalties of $1760 were incurred due to the fact that an extension was not filed for your S corp return. During your onboarding call with your Tax Coordinator in March, an extension request link was provided to you, however an extension request for your S corporation was not submitted. I understand that our tax leadership team did proceed with contacting the *** on your behalf and were able to have these penalties abated, therefore, no penalties will be paid due to the extension not being requested. 

      From our understanding, the inaccuracies were due to some files you uploaded to our data room that our team didn't see when preparing the return. Those have now been corrected. We appreciate your thoroughness in reviewing your return prior to signing off on the filing. It is uncommon for us to miss documentation during our preparation process, however it can happen. Our team has now included the missing information and an updated copy of your return has been sent to you.

      I'd like to see documenation of the communication where I was sent the extention request and failed to submit it. If true I'd like to also understand why no reminder or updates were sent around the extention request. "The *** Penalties of $1760 were incurred due to the fact that an extension was not filed for your S corp return.       The tax penalty of $1,760 has been abated and you do not have to pay this. Our team called on your behalf and got that done. 

      When you first spoke to your Client Tax Coordinator on March 8th, 2023 they asked if this entity was disregarded. You confirmed it was according to our notes and the transcript of the phone call. The Tax Coordinator went through each of your entities and the due dates of the filings based on the information you provided. Since we did not set up your S Corporation, we didn't know what the tax election was. Later, on March 28th, you spoke with your Client Coordinator, ***** and told her at that time the entity was a S Corporation. However, since the deadline to file an extension was March 15th, it was already late. We took the measures necessary to assist in getting the return filed as quickly as possible and our team is doing everything they can to assist in making sure we meet your expectations.

      ANDERSON BUSINESS ADVISORS has been extremely dissapointing. I have been a "TITANIUM CLIENT" for 5+ years (their highest level tier of service), and it has been an absolute NIGHTMARE for the last year or so. They have failed to renew my entities with the Secretaries of State multiple times, have billed me wrong amounts, and GREATEST OF ALL, have cost my business ~$50K in cumulative TAX PENALTIES due to negligence in filing for a tax extension, failing to walk me through my tax filings and needed payments, and failing to file an abatement promptly. We have spent lots of time checking their work from TAXES, to the most mundane administrative Registered Agent services. They can't do their job right. Their ****************** does NOT mean anything, other than they would ask you to pay $10K++ to sign up but are unable to deliver. They have outsourced their TAX SERVICES and despite my constant request to expedite my tax filing so that we can apply for a CRITICAL BUSINESS LOAN TO EXPAND OUR BUSINESS, THEY SAT ON OUR TAX and BOOKEEPING files for 7 months. We only just started to file 2022 taxes in August! Unbelievable! We STILL have not received our construction loan from our bank because of this DELAY in tax filings! We have 8 business entities in their care and as "advisors", they have complicated our lives. We have been checking for mistakes, or following up on action items, missed deadlines, and paying penalties to the *** and Secretaries of State due to their negligence. It is a sham. They do not care. Their leadership does not even care to follow up or give a courtesy call. I've sent so many follow-**** and the issues remain. They fool you with their marketing videos and seminars but they cannot deliver. They dont have the staff and resources to support their claims and service levels. The consecutive mistakes have been so *********, that it feels like A SICK JOKE, or some coordinated attempt to push out some of their tenured clients. I can only guess.

      In July 2019, we joined Anderson Business Advisors, selecting their $7,500 "Titanium VIP Membership" and paying an additional $5,043 for services like "C-Corp, Platinum, Corporate HQ, Investor Tax Package, RA, Nominee Services, Wholesale Trust Kit." The total investment reached $21,043 in 17 months, including $2,500 for the ***** Care Act filing and $6,000 for a non-profit establishment.While Anderson Business Advisors efficiently handled our C-Corp, LLC, and Non-Profit creation, our overall experience was unsatisfactory. Communication was inadequate, and their staff displayed a dismissive and sometimes rude attitude, with delayed or no responses to inquiries. The company seemed to prioritize partnered "educators" over non-partnered clients, leaving us with little attention.The stress and frustration we endured were overwhelming, and we regret being financially tied to their services without viable alternatives.Key issues encountered include:~ Lack of annual check-ins.~ Neglected entity renewals.~ Failure to deliver the promised LLC and C-Corp structure or provide an initial entity structure consultation.~ Additional fees for basic services, such as a registered agent, despite standard inclusions elsewhere.~ Exorbitant admin fees for creating entities, even with an "unlimited LLC package," exceeding state filing costs, with a minimum $100 fee per filing.We advise others to explore alternative options and avoid falling into the same trap. ******** substantial amounts while failing to deliver promised services, especially to struggling entrepreneurs, is highly unethical.

He also shared a couple of options with you as far as what we can offer moving forward. One item that we were not able to discuss in great detail today involved your annual renewals. Below I have included information that we felt was important to share with you regarding this matter.

      Pass Due Entity Renewals

      As your Registered Agent, it is our responsibility to inform you of upcoming renewals so that they can be paid for and filed prior to the due date. Failure to pay annual renewals will in most cases result in an Administrative Dissolution of your entity requiring reinstatement. 

      In 2020 between May and August our ******************* reached out via phone and email 7 times to remind you of your upcoming renewals before the payment was received which was after the due date.

      From May 2021 to November 2021 we contacted you via phone and email 21 times to remind you of your upcoming renewals and never received a response from you. Your past-due renewals were not paid until January 2022.

      Lastly, from September 2022 to November 2022 we contacted you by phone and email 5 times to remind you of your past-due renewals without response, and payment was not received until March 2023.

      We see that you have a follow-up call scheduled this Friday and we would be happy to discuss this in more detail at that time.

      We truly appreciate you allowing us the opportunity to do what we can to improve your experience.

      Anderson offer tax services and they have the worst service. We pay a high premium and get zero service. Our tax lady quit and the new person has communicated with us. We have paid up front and now getting no service. We do not recommend them for tax services. RUN!!!!!

I moved everything to another company, and immediately saw a 180 degree positivie change in everything, might as well be a scam for how much they charge and the service you get. Only reason they have positive reviews on BBB is they are ran by a bunch of lawyers and threaten legal suit on anyone that doesnt play their game! LLC creations start at $1850+ and they dont even ship you the hard copy binder!! you have to pay extra for them to print it or use their dopy ***** account software which never works properly. I only want what was promised and that is timely communication and not wasting my precious and expensive me. I get it youre all lawyers and paralegals, you think your time is more valuable than anyone elses. Anderson Business Advisors has followed through on the entities but only the basics of anything charging for every little thing, Ive wasted coutnless hours trying to communicate with them to get things taken care of. Met with them refusing to accept any responsibility or fixing the issues. I have read the othe rreviews on BBB and it looks a lot like lawyers bullying anyone who dares to say how they have been treated. I have had my time significantly wasted and disrespected. They refuse to do anything outside of the ***** software they push so heavily, which never works properly, yet they refuse to send documents any other way. This is costing me $$ as I cannot open a business bank account without the documents. I want to be reimbursed and compensated for the waste and disrespect of my time and the lost opportunity cost to my businesses due to their negligence.
