I am a trafficking victim who cooperated as the primary witness in a federal investigation into my trafficker's activities. Due to the aggressiveness of my trafficker, federal authorities relocated me multiple times for my safety. Despite these efforts, my trafficker found me after I became independent, forcing me to flee to another state to escape danger. I notified various support agencies for trafficked individuals and arranged for volunteers to retrieve my belongings from my apartment in Albuquerque, where I had paid rent until February 2024.
I have been unable to work or earn income for ten months and still fleeing to safety. Despite Catholic Charitie’s willingness to assist, the apartment management was unresponsive to efforts from me and catholic charities to settle outstanding rent payments.
Despite numerous emails and calls to the two apartment managers, ****** ***** and *****, there was ro response to catholic charities emails to anable them to pay my rent.
I was later assured by the office manager *****, (call was recorded), that I did not owe anything, I later received a collection notice for unpaid rent.
Repeated attempts to resolve the issue with ***** and her manager, *****, were fruitless, and now I face the prospect of damaged credit, which would severely impact my ability to secure a decent employment.
I believe sterling is trying to damage my potential because while there, I faced extreme racism as a black woman from the property manager, ****** and other tenants. I complained about it. I also reached out to their corporate office to complain. They never responded or cared about what was happening. ****** instead sent a note threatening my tenancy.

Throughout this ordeal, I have maintained my integrity and made every effort to settle my obligations, but Sterling Downtown's refusal to cooperate continues to jeopardize my stability and future prospects.
I am pleading for understanding and support to protect my credit and future job prospect
