      I placed a down payment ($1000) on a new vehicle with Toyota World of Lakewood on 3/25/2025. I VERBALLY agreed on an online advertised priced. After a few weeks nearing the time of arrival of the vehicle I received complete and updated pricing including many ridiculous fees which were previously unknown me. Some examples of such are but not limited to $799 document prep fee (I was aware), $550 for tags and title. The biggest was $599 window etching fee. I told my sales person that I did NOT want or need window etching. I was told they REFUSED to take it off when in fact, they did not even have possession of the vehicle at that time. I have this in writing and also have a screenshot from previous BBB complaints about this dealership stating and I quote "Window etching is always sold as optional and listed as such on our paperwork - If the customer would like a refund on window etching, cancellation of the policy is always available". I am seeking a complete refund of $599 on this fraudulent and totally unfair dealership practice. Also I seek restitution of $23.75 in overpayment as listed on my bill of sale plus $160 for mudguards which I paid for and were not included on the vehicle.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      I am writing in response to your most recent correspondence dated 7/5/2025 reference to complaint ID #********. This complaint has NOT been resolved. I was simply waiting to receive payment from the dealership. A bit of a timeline for you. On 6/28/2025 I spoke to ***** (GM) from Toyota World of Lakewood. First off from his previous correspondence which can be read in the communication history of this complaint he stated that he was "More than willing to refund the dispute" calling it a misunderstanding of some type. During our phone conversation on 6/28 he actually used the words, and I will quote "I'm on your side", seemingly in agreement to my claim. As our dialogue went on he became increasingly anxious or agitated ultimately stating "I'll call you right back" and promptly hung up on me. I have NOT heard from him since. I will be forwarding a separate email from a previous complaint against this business showing a similar complaint by another customer. It is able to be read on the ******************** website by searching reviews or complaints about Toyota World of Lakewood. As of this date 7/6/2025 I have not received payment or any further correspondence from ***** (GM). I would like to note that my Toyota 2025 Tacoma Purchase Experience survey will be active through July 16, 2025. I am hopeful that payment will be received before that date and I am left with no other choice but to leave a scathing review of this dealership's deceptive and unfair business practices. I am seeking full restitution in the amount of $782.75.

      My daughter and I went to return a lease and update the car. When we got there my daughter wanted a Rav 4 vehicle for she is a mom of 2 babies. The sell man (***) told us that to lease this vehicle the payments would be ******, I asked him how much more of a down payment i needed to give to lower my payments, his answer was that for every ******* the payment would go down by *****.( We were giving a ******* down payment), They told my daughter that she could get the electric car which is not feasible for a mother of 2 young child 3 years and 3 month old, he said that is the only car she can get for low payment and that is was easy to charge and fast. Well that is a lie it takes hours to fully charge and pray to find a fast charger. My daughter went the NEXT day to tell them that she DID NOT want this car, I spoke to the Manager (****) and he said if I could give ******* more down payment I could get the Rav 4 for the same payment of ******. She only received i key for vehicle and told her that they would get the second key for her, today 12/24/24 she is still waiting for the key. I think that the service we received was horrible and not truthful. I have been a customer for ********************** many years. I have owned Toyota vehicle for many years and have never received such horrible service and the car only gets 200 miles and. All we want to return the car the next day and get a car that she can driver without fear of the car not having enough charge to get from point a to point B. I call so many time and the manager told me for him to get me into Rav 4 he had to speak to his manager and HE never called me to let me know of outcome

      I bought optional *** coverage and the finance *** said if i cancel within ****************************************************************** the taxes back on the *** coverage I purchased and told me "to go to the state to get my taxes back" THIS PLACE IS A SCAM AND WILL LIE ABOUT THINGS STSAT AWAY FROM TOYOTA WORLD OF LAKEWOOD. THEY SEEM NICE AND HONEST BUT WILL SAY THINGS TO MAKE YOU HAPPY AND IF YOU CHANGE YOUR MIND THEY WILL STOMP ALL OVER YOU. P.S. WHEN I TEXTED THE ****SMAN ABOUT MY ISSUE HE IGNORED ME .       I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me... As long as I receive the check as now indicated. What a shame you couldn't make it work in the dealership. I tried to make it work. I didn't throw any fit and video footage would back us up on that. 

      Imagine buying an iPhone and after returning it after a week they give you back the $1000 but not the $76 in taxes and told you to get a lawyer or go to the state to get back your taxes? Would you not be left with an extremely sour taste in your mouth towards that business??

      If I wanted I could complain about dealership like a lot of people do about car prices people etc. however, I didn't Bec. I'm not here to vent. I'm here for honesty and integrity, no matter if its $1 or $32. 

      Next time someone buys GAP or any other option coverage let them know TAXES WILL BE REFUNDED BY THE STATE OF ********** ONLY!

      BTW you were too stubborn to call me and discuss this hence why this became an online and public dispute.

      I was lied to and mislead by toyota world of Lakewood sales department about the charging capabilities of the 2024 BZ4X. I was told at a level 3 charger the car would charge to 100% in ***** minutes. When in reality this is far from the truth. The car is not capable of charging fast at a level 3 charger.

      We never told the customer this as it is untrue.  We explained that she could charge daily on a level three charger for ***** minutes given her commute distance without running out of battery.  She would like to switch into a different vehicle and we provided her with a few options none of which worked for her financially given that she would have to pay off her current vehicle and we originally offered her this vehicle because it fit her budget.  We are still more than happy to discuss her options going forward, but to this point, nothing we have offered works for her.

      The Business claimed they no longer were part of the *********** Price PLAN, Not according to ******* The dealers representative said they could not honor my *********** Price Plan. Also they did not let me know that window ettching was optional with my purchase. Lastly our credit rating is a little short of perfect however we ended up with a 7% finance charge. Two days later we attempted to give the dealer a check to pay off the loan but they insisted I had to wait for the finance company to send me a billpay. Of course there will be a month or more of finance charges. Not nice.

      We are not, nor have we ever been as far as I know, participants in the ****** pricing program.  We are also not required to participate in any such pricing - ****** has no influence on our business as they are a third party with no correspondence with us.  Window etching is always sold as optional and listed as such on our paperwork - if the customer would like a refund on window etching, cancellation of the policy is always available.  As far as the interest rate goes, that is what the bank approved the customer for on her loan application - we are not a bank, we do not charge interest.  The customer can pay if off at any time, but the deal was funded by the bank when the customer came back and we could do nothing with the money.  Additionally, the customer raised none of these concerns at the time of purchase.  If there are any other concerns we need to address, please let me know.
