  Absolutely terrible. Misleading and complete rip-off. Contacted them to assist with filing back taxes and got sold on them doing every to help me for $3500. Basically didnt do anything I couldnt have done myself, Ive had the same job and only a single w-2 **** form to file. Then they want an additional $2500 to offer any assistance with communicating with the *** to make arrangements for taking care of any debt . On top of that I got passed around to multiple different people who dont respond or are unable to contact me by phone? Complete ripoff. Im sure I couldve contacted a local tax attorney and had them do everything for much less. Dont bother with these people save yourself the trouble

  I filed taxes with JH in 2021. First issue I had was they put in my banking info in wrong and I had to wait in my refund through mail. Second issue was they had my son's name and social wrong and had to file an amendment. Third they put my disaster relief info in incorrectly and had to file another amendment. Fourth when they did the last amendment they changed my AGI and said I owed taxes. I now have to have another amendment (which they keep telling me they will call me back and yet to do so because they can't find what was entered incorrectly) I now have to file an extension for 2023 because I can't get the mess from 2021 fixed in time to file. They will not return calls and the amendments they did do because of their own mistakes, keep getting worse and worse because they keep making mistakes due to their lack of knowledge on taxes and their need to talk and joke amongst each other. I will never recommend JH to anyone nor use them again. This is the Glenwood Ave location ******* GA. Very unprofessional and unwilling to fix their mistakes. I have also contacted the "manager" last week that said she would fix this and call me back and never did. I called again today and same thing. They will call me back. It is so unprofessional and unnecessary. Especially to make someone think they owe taxes when they do not.

  The tax preparer at Jackson Hewitt has the worst tax knowledges and services. I have been telling her I need to file my 2022 tax return separately with my husband but she still put everything together only under my husbands name even the file name only has my name on it. When I pointed this out and asked her to give me back all documentations belong to me, she suddenly got really upset and she raised her voice and said really terrible and ugly words to me with the dirty look on her face. I just can not believe this is a so-called tax professional. NEVER recommend anyone to Jackson Hewitt for the tax return. DO NOT waste your time on dealing with Jackson Hewitt which is the worst of worst tax service provider.

  They lied about the cost of tax preparation. I have used them in prior years and have always had the same rate and same amount of papers to be filed, so the price should always be the same. They told me they increased their prices by $200 this year only after I called and spoke with a supervisor. Thats all fine and dandy but why is there still $300 that is unaccounted for?? Why would you tell me how much it would cost then charge me $500 more than that? And not even tell me. I had to figure it out on my own once I got home and was reviewing the paperwork. The lady seemed in a great hurry and now I know why. Entirely unethical. I WILL get the $300 owed back to me by any means necessary. What a disgusting and manipulative way to operate a business. A decent business always has transparency and that is something that Jackson Hewitt is highly lacking in.

  This company reminds me of a payday lender. My wife and I are on Social Security as our only income. We have been sabotaged by the ** Government this year. We had five transactions during the year that apparently warranted the parties conducting the transaction to send us various tax forms, all of which were either a loss (modest stock market holdings), or amounts we received that were very limited such as a settlement from ****** over a bad transmission and even an interest statement from the *** for an old stimulus payment that they held onto that created interest. What this all means is that these paltry amounts were apparently reported to the ***. Since we felt we were forced into filing a tax return, the sale of a house which we broke even on met the threshold of *** capital gains that had to be reported. So, more or less with a gun to our head, we had to file a tax return. Turbotax cannot easily handle taxes which are of a variety. Using Jackson Hewitt in the past, we signed made an appointment. Social Security recipients should not be forced into paying $301 for tax work that we were told was discounted from over $500. This is clearly an exorbitant rate and all tax preparation companies should have a policy that they will not charge people on limited incomes outrageous fees.

  Jackson Hewitts tv commercial is disgusting. "What the ***** ************* is a sad way to draw attention. Now, they set up at ******* with a banner reading "Your taxes done here" but you can read Jackson Hewitt in very fine print. Its them! Stay away!! Too many disappointed customers getting ripped off. JH will go down in history very soon.

  Jackson Hewitt can **** it!!! I have waited all this time for my state refund but when I chatted with an agent, she told me it was used for the early advanced loan and they didn't let me know about them using it!!!! I am done using them because of lack of communication!!

  I recently completed an appointment with Jackson Hewitt Tax Services at the *************** in *********, ** performed by ****************************** and another team member. I had a lot going on in 2022, which included selling a property (in another state), purchasing a property in the ***********, as well as being transferred from one lender to another within two months after purchasing a new construction home.*************** collected all of my information, sorted it all out, while explaining certain features of the tax code to me, and completed the electronic filing of my 2022 Federal and State income tax returns. I greatly appreciate the professionalism and great customer ********************** I received at my appointment.

  It is thoroughly disgusted and unprofessional- are you that desperate- you just told me a lot about your company - I would never deal with a company like yours!
