What a scam!! Do not get travel insurance through this company! I spent $600 to cover my Fiji vacation to have it denied after my doctor would not let me travel due to my high risk pregnancy at 7 months. My doctor also wrote 2 letters to them. All denied. Beware!

I gave Arch Insurance One Star because I could not give them Zero Stars which is what they deserve. I will never use Arch Insurance again, and no one should ever use them either. They will use every excuse to avoid paying you the money you deserve. They want to keep your money as long as possible as they are making interest on your money. I made an insurance claim in August and was not paid until Dec 18. When I filed the original claim, I provided all the information requested. After several days, they responded with yet another list of information that was needed. This process was repeated many times, always with additional proof required. I think they intentionally try to frustrate you into just quitting rather than continue having to prove what you have already proven. They are certainly not interested in achieving any kind of customer satisfaction; they are only interested in getting and keeping their customers money as long as they possibly can. I understand completly why Arch is not BBB accredited.

Do NOT use this Insurance Company. They deny pretty much everything with al their fine print. We booked a home in *********, ******* for a girls trip. Unfortunately, our flights from ***************, ** were cancelled due to the arrival of Hurricane ******. We were not able to drive there through a hurricane and especially through areas that were under evacuation orders. If this doesn't constitute a valid reason for not being able to use the property, I don't know what is. They are a HORRIBLE Company! Buyer beware!!!! They should have a ZERO star rating.

Do not use this insurance company. I would give them zero stars, but had to give them one star to post a review. Our group of 10 rented a house for a girl's weekend in *********, ** the day Hurricane ****** hit ******************, Oct. 9, 2024.We bought trip insurance for the beach house rental. Eight of our group of 10 live in ***************, ** and the airlines canceled our flights to ********* because of the entire west coast of ******* being in the path of the Hurricane. *************** is a 11 hour drive from ********* and it was not feasible to spend at least 2 days of a 4 day trip driving through counties that were issued evacuation orders. When Arch Insurance denied the claim, we were out $5,000. What a waste of money.

My parents purchased the Arch Insurance for their Gate1 Egypt Trip in January 2024. Due to two of six travelers (all insured under ***) having major medical issues (one having a shoulder surgery right before the trip and the other traveler being diagnosed with a breast cancer right before the trip), they could not travel as planned in January 2024. When we applied for the insurance coverage, *** disapproved both claims (1) shoulder pains existed before purchasing the insurance in September 2023 and (2) the radiation treatment was scheduled after the travel dates in January 2024. We told the insurance that (1) shoulder pains were not severe and required the surgery until the doctor found the problem and required the surgery and followed by rigorous therapy sessions and (2) there were numerous breast cancer symptoms regardless of timing of radiation treatments and both Oncologist and Surgeon asked (in writing) not to travel in January 2024. Overall, we really thought those reasons were sufficient to be covered under the insurance. We have been communicating with the *** for past nine months, now going through tedious appear process.... I would say you will find the worst and least service from ***. Please use other companies.

I have to disagree with the negative reviews. *********************** was recommended by a friend of a friend after I had an awful experience with a claim nearly two years ago with Allianz. I was somewhat skeptical about Arch ********* because some of the very positive reviews were for people who did not actually file a claim. I went ahead and purchased the annual/multitrip Arch ********* policy directly from Arch, one of the few companies offering annual travel insurance. Unfortunately while overseas I developed an illness requiring a 4 day interruption of my group travel before being able to rejoin the group. This necessitated extra expenses for hotels, meals, air fare, 4 days away from the group and Uber. I filed a claim immediately after my return home and a couple documents a few days later. The day after filing, Arch requested specific additional information, which I provided. They put my claim into two categories, trip delay and trip interruption. In only 15 days from the day I filed my first documents, **** settled for the full amount of my claim for me and my travel partner except for telephone calls (less than $5.00) that were necessary to arrange a doctor ************ Wow! Amazing! If this is a typical experience with this company, I would recommend them most highly.

DO NOT EVER WASTE YOUR MONEY BUYING INSURANCE FROM THIS COMPANY! They will make you waste many hours trying to secure documentation for your claim, only to ask for another form once you have provided what was requested! As examples, I had to cancel my trip due to surgery. I was told that I had to get a note from the airline that my tickets were non-refundable even though that was clearly stated on my flight cancellation that these economy tickets are never refundable. Even though I provided medical records from the hospital that I indeed underwent an operation, I had to get the surgeon to sign a note that he indeed did operate on me (I felt like a grade school kid getting an absentee note)! In other words, I have the strong opinion that they never intended to honor my claim! I wholeheartedly agree with those folks that started a one star is too high a rating for this company!!

Very disappointed in this INS company. Please be aware when traveling and insured by these people, if you file a claim, don’t expect a full refund. Actually, it’s a slap in the face. Spent over 2 grand for a trip that was cancelled (through a travel agent) and received less than a third back on the claim….

Beware of Arch Insurance which is used by Gate 1 Travel. We had faced a personal family emergency and indicated it was related to the self-harm of another close relative, and they refused to reimburse us. Their compassion is nonexistent. If I could give them no stars, I would. I have yet to go on my trip, so I pray everything goes okay because I don't want to mess with them anymore.

So far, I've been impressed with Arch. Wife got sick on the ******* leg of two Gate1 tours we had booked, back-to-back (*******, then ******). She was hospitalized, and I contacted Arch about a week before we were to start the ****** leg. Since we had booked two trips, and got the cash discount, and booked transfers, ect, I wasn't sure of just what we paid for the ****** leg. Arch contacted Gate1 and got the figure, which I was comfortable with, and refunded it. We are still working with them on the ******* end, which includes hotel for me, train transport across *******, taxi rides, and a last-minute flight home. So we will see how that works out.....
