We are writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding a Vertical Platform Lift (VPL) purchased and paid for in full at the end of July. To date, AmeriGlide has failed to deliver a fully functional, undamaged, brand-new product as contracted. The equipment arrived severely damaged. AmeriGlide has attempted to shift blame to us for not unwrapping and inspecting heavy, large-sized, shrink-wrapped machinery upon deliverya task that is physically impossible for us the consumer without specialized equipment or risking further damage.1st Installation Attempt: The installer could not complete the job because an entire pallet of equipment was damaged. After extensive back-and-forth communication, AmeriGlide chose to replace only two parts instead of the entire damaged pallet. We explicitly stated that the next attempt must result in a fully functioning, pristine unit.September 8th (2nd Installation Attempt): The installer returned, but the lift failed to rise to the advertised 64" height. Furthermore, significant damage remained visible (as documented in the attached photos).September 22nd: After missing a September 16th follow-up deadline, customer service only responded today after being prompted by the installer.AmeriGlides current resolution is entirely unacceptable. The company has offered a part to fix the height defect, but demands that we pay the shipping costs to replace the heavily damaged bottom piece. They have ignored the remaining structural and cosmetic damage entirely. We paid for a brand-new, premium unit, not a refurbished or dented machine. While AmeriGlide blames the freight company, their contract is with the carrier, and they must stand behind the product delivered to the end consumer. We ask that AmeriGlide provide a completely undamaged, fully operational VPL that reaches the specified 64" height, with all shipping and component costs covered entirely by AmeriGlide, or issue a refund acceptable for all of the damage.

    Business Response

    Date: 09/23/2026

Thank you for explaining your concerns. I understand how frustrating the damage and installation delays have been.
The damage occurred during freight delivery, and the shipment was signed for upon receipt. Regardless, AmeriGlide is honoring the warranty. We have sent replacement parts for the damaged components and are sending custom parts to address the lifts issues. Our goal is to leave you with a fully functional VPL that reaches the specified 64-inch height and has no remaining damaged components.
We will coordinate with the installer to confirm what remains to be replaced and complete the work. I will provide you with the parts and installation plan, including any shipping charges, once that review is complete.

We are rejecting this response because it does not clarify who will be responsible for the shipping costs of the damaged parts. Given the appalling service and extensive delays we have experienced so far, we require explicit confirmation that the business will cover all shipping and handling fees. We will not consider this case resolved or closed until a brand-new, pristine unit is fully delivered and in place and/or compensation for the damaged unit.

    Sincerely,

I am rejecting this response because the requested repairs are incomplete and the replacement parts have not yet been delivered. While AmeriGlide expects to receive the parts at their REMOVEDfacility on October 1, they still must be shipped to our home and installed. Furthermore, the current repair plan only covers select components and excludes the existing damage on the tower. As previously communicated via email to REMOVED, this complaint will remain open until we receive the fully functional, pristine unit we paid for.

    Sincerely,

The date began $/20/2026, Pick up of chairs Around4/7/2026.I wish to dispute the recent buyback transaction involving my two stairlift chairs. The stairlifts were purchased from your company approximately three years and three months ago at a cost of approximately $3,000 each. Both units were maintained in good condition and were functioning properly at the time of removal. The reason for requesting removal was because my 92-year-old mother relocated to live with me, and the property where the stairlifts were installed needed to be rented. My intent was simply to have the chairs removed while attempting to recover a reasonable portion of their value.During our communications regarding the buyback, my understanding was that we were negotiating a price of $812 per chair, totaling $1,624 for both units. This understanding was reasonable because: I owned two stairlift chairs, not one Comparable resale listings I reviewed showed similar units selling for approximately $1,200 each I had initially counteroffered at $1,000 per chair before later agreeing to what I believed was $812 each I never received an itemized breakdown clearly stating that the $812 total applied to both chairs combined When the check arrived for only $812 total, I was extremely surprised and disappointed. Had I clearly understood that the offer was for both chairs together, I would not have agreed to proceed under those terms.A reconsideration of the compensation amount, or The return of the stairlift chairs at my expense I respectfully ask management to review this matter again in light of the misunderstanding and lack of itemization. I believe this situation resulted from unclear communication rather than intentional agreement to sell two well-maintained stairlifts for a combined total of $812.I value professionalism and fair business practices and hope we

I am filing this complain on behalf of my 85 year old mother and my 88 year old father. They purchased a chair rail system from Ameriglide in September of 2024. Model REMOVEDhas been broken since November 2025. Ameriglide uses a company called REMOVEDto fix their products. REMOVEDStal is almost impossible to reach. Callers either get a message saying no one is available, or it rings indefinitely. When you do get a person to answer, my parents speak to someone named REMOVED. He seems unfamiliar with the product, but offers to get answers and says he'll call back. However, he never returns their calls. Del Stal has one service person who services Ameriglide products. His name is REMOVEDand he is wonderful. He drives 1000 mile from REMOVEDto REMOVEDand has been at my parents' home 4 times trying to fix my parents Ameriglide system. Ameriglide has sent the incorrect part to REMOVEDtwice now. Each time the incorrect part has been sent, they do not over night the correct part, they tell my parents that it will be 1-2 months before they can get it to REMOVEDStal and REMOVEDAs it stands now, the chair is still not working. REMOVEDhas told my parents that he has tried himself to get the part faster, but that Del Stal and Ameriglide have stopped responding to him. This chair system is a literal life and death issue for my elderly parents. It's the only thing allowing them to stay in their home and we are so fearful that one of both of them will fall. Please, please help us to get their Ameriglide product fixed.

    Business Response

    Date: 03/17/2026

We sincerely apologize for the ongoing frustration and understand how critical this chair lift is to your parents safety and mobility.
We have reviewed your case and want to confirm that your unit remains covered under our manufacturers warranty for parts. We will honor that warranty and provide any necessary replacement parts at no cost.
Please note, the warranty does not cover labor, service calls, or installation. However, you are not required to use any specific service provider. You may choose any qualified technician or local service company to complete the repair, and we are happy to supply the required parts directly to them.
If you already have a technician identified, please let us know and we will coordinate getting the correct parts shipped out as quickly as possible.
We appreciate your patience and are committed to helping move this toward a resolution.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID REMOVED, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. However, I'm not sure I understand how their response changes anything. We have already been working with REMOVEDcontracted through REMOVED, and as hard as he has tried, Ameriglide has not provided the parts needed. I'm not sure I understand what has changed with their response. Are they now going to respond to REMOVEDand get him the parts he's been trying to get these past 5 months?  If that's the case, when will this happen? How much longer will my parents be without the assistance they need from their stair lift? Any help you can give me understanding their response would be greatly appreciated.

    Sincerely,

    REMOVED

We purchased a Rave 2 stair lift from AmeriGlide in REMOVEDin 2023 for my mother, who is now 88 years old. We have no complaints with the stair lift when its working. Our issue is with the service, and the business practices of the company. It is so difficult to get them to schedule service, show up, or even return calls. The lift stopped working in November of 2025. I paid $347.49 on 11/4/2025 for service and a new battery. REMOVEDcame to work on the lift. There was an issue with the arm that he fixed, and we did not need the new battery. We were told we would be refunded $100 for the battery in 7 to 10 days. It took a few calls, but we finally got the refund on 12/3/25. On 12/8/25 I saw two charges from the company on my credit card for $269.23, for a total of $538.46. I immediately called REMOVEDabout the charges, and texted him a copy of the charges on my card. He said they did not charge my card. I called the credit card company with REMOVEDon the line with me. They removed the charges, and I had to get a new card. The lift has now stopped working again, and my mother called in for service on 3/6/26. They charged her $347.49, and said REMOVEDwould be here around 6 pm on 3/13/26 for the repair. REMOVEDdid not show up, and no one called to let us know he wasnt coming, or to reschedule. Both my mother and I called the office and Keiths cell phone, but have gotten no response as of yet. They now have our money, the lift is not working, and my mother cannot get up and down the stairs. What I want is accountability. Dont charge us upfront and not show up to do your job. If this is not taken care of this week, I will take further action. This company seems to have no regard to the customers who need to use the product we purchased from them. Please send someone reliable to come fix this lift!

I ordered an Ameriglide chair lift after submitting requested measurements and photos which were approved. The components were delivered, the first REMOVEDsaid his license didnt cover this type of install. After long delay second REMOVEDsaid stairway was too narrow and couldnt install. I requested return/refund (boxes unopened) and was denied by customer service because it was after their return deadline.1. They accepted measurements / photos before ordering 2. Exceptionally long delays to get REMOVEDs out and subsequent lengthy back/forth made meeting return deadline impossible. Thank you for reaching out and for explaining the situation in detail. We understand the frustration given the installation challenges that occurred after delivery. While the return request was submitted outside of the standard return window, we are willing to make an exception in this case and accept the return of the stair lift. Please note that the return would still be subject to AmeriGlides standard return policy fees, including a restocking fee as well as original and return shipping costs. If you would like to proceed, we can begin arranging the return authorization and provide the next steps for freight pickup and processing.

Contracted with Ameriglide REMOVEDfor installation of a Rave II stairlift. Technician installed a unit that had been shipped to me. After technician left, unit was found to have a "bump" in the track that jolts the passenger on the way up, and loud clicking noise is heard as unit approaches the top of the stair. Contacted tech who sent me some track parts that I installed to help the noise issue. No real improvement. Sent tech pictures and a video. There is a visible step in the track where two pieces of track are joined. Tech and company contact numbers no longer respond to me although I have left multiple messages. Please help me get the company to finish the installation properly.

My 84-year-old father, a veteran and recent amputee, had an AmeriGlide Hercules II Nano Lift installed in June 2025.The lift stopped working in October 2025 and has not operated since. The licensed installer has made multiple service visits, replaced batteries, and followed troubleshooting guidance provided by AmeriGlide technical support. Despite these efforts, the lift remains inoperable.AmeriGlide has stated that the product carries a two-year parts warranty. However, they require a $2,500 fee to send a technician to diagnose the issue before determining whether a warrantable defect REMOVEDa result, a lift that cost over $10,000 (including installation) has been unusable for approximately 40% of the ownership period to date.Buyers should clearly understand that on-site diagnostic service is not included under warranty, even within the first year of ownership.

    Business Response

    Date: 03/02/2026

AmeriGlide is the distributor of the REMOVEDyou purchased. The product is covered by the manufacturers two-year parts warranty, which AmeriGlide will honor strictly in accordance with the manufacturers written warranty terms.
The manufacturers warranty covers defective parts only. It does not include labor, service calls, field diagnostics, removal, reinstallation, or site-related corrections. Any on-site diagnostic evaluation or service visit is a billable service, Ameriglide will provide technical support to you or your assigned agent.
If you so choose  AmeriGlide can arrange for a factory-authorized field technician to conduct an on-site diagnostic evaluation at a cost of $2,500. If a warrantable manufacturing defect is confirmed during that evaluation, applicable replacement parts will be provided under the terms of the manufacturers warranty. The service fee remains the responsibility of the customer.
You are also free to engage the original installer or any qualified third-party technician of your choosing to perform diagnostic or service work. If a specific part is determined to be defective under the manufacturers warranty, we will coordinate replacement of that part accordingly.
AmeriGlide remains willing to facilitate warranty parts support upon receipt of documentation confirming a warrantable defect.

    Customer Answer

    Date: 03/03/2026

    Complaint: 24579207

I am rejecting this response because:

The lift was purchased and installed in 2025 and became inoperable within months. It has now been unusable for approximately four months during its first year of ownership.
AmeriGlide has stated that the product carries a two-year parts warranty. However, AmeriGlide requires the customer to pay $2,500 for an on-site diagnostic evaluation before determining whether a manufacturing defect exists. Even if a defect is confirmed, the diagnostic cost remains the customers responsibility.
Our concern is not about parts coverage, but about whether a warranty provides a meaningful remedy when the customer must fund substantial diagnostic costs to confirm a defect in a first-year accessibility device.
We remain willing to have the unit evaluated. However, we believe it is reasonable that if a warrantable manufacturing defect is confirmed, the cost of diagnosing that defect should not remain solely the customers responsibility.
We hope REMOVEDwill reconsider a more balanced resolution.

    Sincerely,

    REMOVED

    Business Response

    Date: 03/05/2026

The lift referenced in this review was purchased in 2025 and installed by a third-party installer. As is common with accessibility equipment, the installer who performed the installation is typically the first party responsible for conducting on-site diagnostics and basic service evaluation.
The individual who installed the unit for Mr. REMOVEDshould have the ability to perform the initial on-site diagnostics. If they are unable to do so, or are not trained or familiar with the product, Ameriglide can coordinate a diagnostic service visit. However, as with most equipment service calls, there is a cost associated with sending a technician to evaluate the unit.
Ameriglide provides a two-year parts warranty on the product itself. If a warrantable manufacturing defect in a component is identified during the diagnostic evaluation, the applicable replacement parts would be covered under the warranty terms.
Ameriglide remains willing to assist in resolving the issue and encourages Mr. REMOVEDor the installer to contact us directly so the unit can be properly evaluated and addressed.

    Complaint: 24579207

I am rejecting this response because: it does not address the core issue described in the complaint.
The lift was installed in June 2025 and became inoperable in October 2025. It has remained nonfunctional since that time.
The installer has already made multiple service visits and attempted troubleshooting with guidance from AmeriGlide technical support, including replacing batteries and following recommended steps. Despite these efforts, the lift remains inoperable.
AmeriGlide has confirmed that the product carries a two-year parts warranty. However, AmeriGlide has also stated that diagnostic and service labor are not covered under that warranty. In our case, AmeriGlide offered to arrange a factory technician visit at an estimated cost of approximately $2,500 to diagnose the issue before determining whether a warrantable defect exists.
Our concern is not about the existence of a parts warranty, but about the practical ability to access that warranty when a product fails during the first year of ownership and diagnosing the issue requires significant out-of-pocket cost.
We remain willing to have the unit evaluated and repaired so the lift can be restored to safe operation. However, we believe a reasonable path should exist to diagnose the issue without requiring the customer to bear the full cost of confirming a potential manufacturing defect.

    Sincerely,

    REMOVED

We bought an Ameriglide Lift in June. It arrived in a non working condition. When our contractor put it together and plugged it up it didn't work. After several months and meetings with their techs and our installer the lift still doesn't work. We have tried to get Ameriglide to send out someone to fix it and they refuse. Please see attachment for details. Our installer said that BBB in REMOVEDhas had similar complaints. Please help.

Ameriglide does not provide a labor warranty on our products.  In some cases not all, customers can purchase technical support and ameriglide can send technicans on site.  Please call our customer service department to see if this option is available.

This lift was sold as a long term permanent lift to make my office REMOVEDaccessible. The website claims it is a waterproof outdoor unit. It has not been reliable since day 1 on installation a year ago. I have had to pay contractors to come out and fix the same reoccurring issues 7 times and the company will not respond to my request to get a refund and have the unit removed.

Weve confirmed that REMOVEDfrom our tech support team did honor the scheduled 10:00 AM call appointment. However, he reports that the technician he attempted to reach did not answer at the time of the call.
REMOVEDalso shared his understanding that the unit is currently operational, with your primary concern being that the gate closes too hard.
If youre still experiencing issues or would prefer an in-person evaluation, were happy to arrange for a service technician to visit your site. The cost for an on-site service visit is $2,000.00 USD. If youd like to move forward, just let us know and well coordinate the details with you.
We truly appreciate your patience and the opportunity to support you.
