5 starsI really loved Prisma International Corporations Bridging the Gap 40-hour Medical Interpreter Training.I interpret in Russian and Ukrainian, and we had a small group in our live online class. The course was 40 hours long, from Monday to Thursday, every day from 8 a.m. until around 5 or 6 p.m. We only had six people in the class, and I was lucky that another student also interpreted in Russian, so we were able to practice together.Our teacher, REMOVED, was amazing. I really appreciated her explanations, how she kept us engaged throughout the class, and how encouraging she was. I also loved the fact that she has many years of experience as a medical interpreter, so she was able to share real-life examples from her own practice, which made the material much more practical and relatable.On the last day of the course, we took a final test, and we all passed, which was a great way to test our knowledge. Throughout the training, we also had little quizzes every day, which kept the learning interactive and helped reinforce what we had just learned.REMOVEDwas very caring and always made sure everyone understood the material before moving on. She also gave us plenty of live exercises to practice, which I found incredibly helpful.I feel like I gained not only a lot of valuable theoretical knowledge, but also a much better understanding of how to apply it in real-life interpreting situations. It gave me a lot of confidence, and I would highly recommend the Bridging the Gap course to anyone who wants to start their journey as a medical interpreter!

5 starsThe materials are as informative as they could be: 1 book which is the main one used for classes, 1 Vietnamese glossary and 1 little book for regular used medications. The level of interpretation experience and English proficiency are not the same for each class. Due to health reason, I couldn't finish my 4th class with originally designated cohort. My teacher had let me finish with another cohort which I really appreciate. After class, I don't see interpretation jobs the same. Love my experience!Prisma International Corporation
