Pole barn kit purchased from Strouds Building Supply on 11/29/24. $10,456.16 ACH payment, full invoice amount executed same day. Quoted delivery was 4-6 weeks. Two months later Strouds Building Supply announced that they were "busy and behind schedule". Three months later and they ignored my inquiries, daily emails at this point, requesting a reasonable delivery date commitment or full refund. Nearly four months in now and they will not respond to my emails or answer my calls. They have my money and have delivered nothing.

We sincerely apologize for the delays and inconvenience experienced by our valued customers.
****************************************************************** was profoundly impacted by Hurricane ******, which caused unexpected and widespread damage throughout our region. At the time of the storm, we had over $250,000 in inventory on-site, much of it allocated to fulfill customer orders. Unfortunately, that inventory was completely destroyed by the hurricane. In addition to the loss of materials, our buildings and displays were also significantly damaged, and we were without power for several weeks, forcing us to temporarily close operations.
We recognize how frustrating this situation has been for our customers, and we deeply regret any delays this has caused. Please know that we have applied for assistance through the Small Business Administrations Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) program to help recover from these losses, but the process has been slower than anticipated.
Despite these challenges, we are committed to restoring our operations and fulfilling customer orders as quickly as possible. Our team is working diligently every day to return to full capacity, and we truly appreciate your patience and understanding as we recover from this natural disaster.
Thank you for your continued support.

I am rejecting this response because:

I called, placed an order verbally and paid for my pole barn more than a moth after the *** hurricane disaster.  Not once did Strouds Business Supply mention how they were affected by this disaster.  Had they been honest and communicated that up front I would have not placed an order with them.  I can only assume they suspected such and therefore intentionally withheld that information.  For four months now I haven't received any truthful information from them and they've never offered a real delivery date.  I contend they have committed fraud and continue to hold my $10,456.16 payment which I have rededately requested be refunded.  Even further, they continue to ignore my attempts to contact them.  No information and no refund is theft.  Though I sympathize greatly for the ****** victims and have personally made both time and monetary donations, I am not willing to accept their failure to provide honest communications with their clients.

    Better Business Bureau:

******** Building Supply did finally deliver my order.  As a concession; they did not charge me a delivery fee.  Upon initial inspection, the quality of their product appears to be very good, but cannot be verified until it is assembled/installed.  I'm simply thankful that I didn't loose my money, but I would never buy from them again.  Their failure to communicate is unforgivable and I could never recommend them to anyone looking to purchase a pole barn kit.

    Thank you.
