I purchased my car from ride now motors. I lost my job shortly after, however, I was able to make a partial payment and I wasnt even 2 weeks late. I was going to pay the remainder that same week but the night before, they repossessed the vehicle. I called to see what I had to do because I was able to pay what I owed, plus the next months payment and any fees I may have incurred. The woman on the phone said I needed to pay the full pay out which was around $28k. I let her know I was paying what I owed today and her response was, well, its too late for that now. She was extremely rude and I was just trying to get an issue resolved. I wasnt being combative or anything like that. I let her know she didnt have to be rude and snarky with me, as I was just asking questions and I was being friendly with her. I understand she works in repossession or whatever, but to be that unprofessional is insane especially when I wasnt being a rude customer. I worked in collections so i understand you have to get aggressive sometimes but not when the customer isnt giving you a hard time. I think its crazy that theyd repo your car after being way less than a month behind and no one calls prior to ask when youll be able to make the paymentBusiness Response

I am filing this complaint regarding an extremely upsetting and unfair situation involving Ride Now Motors. On the evening of 04/22/2025, my daughters vehicleJulissa Ortegais being financed through Ride Now Motors and was towed without any prior notice or communication. The assumed reason for the towing was a brief lapse in her auto insurance policy, which occurred due to a short-term financial situation I was dealing withsomething many people experience. Despite the lapse, the insurance was reinstated earlier the same day the vehicle was towed, and our plan was to provide proof of coverage to Ride Now Motors the following morning.Unfortunately, the vehicle was towed that evening, with no phone call, knock at the door, or written notice. Had we been given even a few minutes or any form of communication, we could have shown the reinstatement letter and prevented the vehicle from being towed ************* daughter is a full-time nursing student in her final weeks of clinicals, and this has caused significant disruption to her schedule and created additional financial strain due to towing fees and the cost of alternate transportation. Both she and I work or attend school during standard business hours, and while we received calls from the office, we were unable to respond during the day. Ride Now Motors office hours align with ours, which makes timely communication very difficult. This situation is a clear example of poor customer service and lack of basic communication and consideration. We believe this towing was unjustified, as the vehicle was insured at the time of the tow, and we were not given any opportunity to present that information.I am requesting a full reimbursement of the towing fees and a formal acknowledgment of the mismanagement in this case. This kind of treatment toward customersespecially those who have shown good faith in resolving issuesshould not be acceptable business practice.Business Response

In response to ******* ******** complaint, Ride Now Motors will issue NO REFUNDS/REIMBURSEMENTS. On 04/18/2025 Ride Now Motors received a letter in the mail from the insurance company stating that ******* ******** insurance cancelled on 04/07/2025. That same day Ride Now Motors called the Buyer, ******* ******, she was advised of the auto insurance being cancelled. ******* ******* advised the collection representative to contact the Cobuyer, ****** ****** as she is responsible for the account. ******************** left a voicemail and sent a text message to her. On 04/21/2025 Ride Now Motors called texted and emailed both buyers again regarding the Insurance. NO REPONSE FROM EITHER. On 04/22/2025 policy was still cancelled. Ride Now Motors called both buyers, sent txt and email to both buyers at 8:46am, then called both buyers again at 1:00pm, NO RESPONSE. at 5:40pm ************** was still cancelled, no proof of reinstatement sent to Ride Now Motors and no communication from either buyers received therefore vehicle was sent out for repossession. As mentioned in the LOAN SUMMARY AGREEMENT signed by both buyers, it is the BUYERS responsibility to provide proof of insurance. We tried multiple ways to reach both buyers but got no response. Thank youCustomer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: I do not agree with Ride Now Motors response.
As I clearly stated in my original complaint, I work during standard business hours, and while I did receive phone calls from the office, I was unable to respond during the day. Ride Now Motors office hours directly align with mine, making it extremely difficult to return calls in a timely manner.
We are in 2025, and yet no effort was made to communicate via email, which is a basic and widely used method of communication today. I never received an email from the company regarding the issueonly a generic automated text instructing me to contact them before 6 PM, which was not possible given my work schedule.
The main point remains unchanged: the vehicle was towed after the insurance had already been reinstated, meaning it was towed without cause at the time. No effort was made to verify this, nor was I given the opportunity to present proof of coverage.
This situation could have been avoided with proper communication and basic due diligence. I continue to request a reimbursement for the towing expenses, as the vehicle was insured when it was taken.Business Response

Please see attached Email and Text Logs showing emails and text messages sent. Either buyer could have texted or emailed back as well. Ride Now Motors did not receive a call back, text back nor an email back from either buyers. It is the BUYERS responsibility to contact Ride Now Motors through any form of communication (call, text, email), which the customers failed to do so. It is also the BUYERS responsibility to send proof of insurance which can also be sent via email. Customers failed to do so. ******************** will stand by the decision to not refund/reimburse customers .Initial Complaint

This establishment shouldnt be able to legally function, they are modern day scammers. They sell lemon cars to hard working people and push them as cars with no issues. I bought my car on October 2nd 2024 and since then its been nothing but issues. I love my car, I dont regret buying it I just wish they would have been fully transparent about things. Not to mention I paid $500 for tags and registration and they turn around and tell me that I have to get it on my own. They also put me into a vehicle without having me thoroughly sign all of the paperwork necessary.Business Response

Ride Now Motors completes a thorough Inspection to Identify any repairs or maintenance that needs to be done to all cars as well perform a full detail to the vehicles prior to putting them on the lot for sale. ******* ****** did purchased the 2011 Mercedes E-Class on 10/03/2025. However there is no record and or notes recorded on the account stating that ******* ****** called into the office for "Issues" she is having on the vehicle. Our system was down the day ******* ****** was sold and not all paperwork was signed so therefore we did have her sign the missing documents and resign the contract due to incorrect APR as shown the the text messages she provided (please refer to your spot delivery agreement). Ride Now Motors submitted title work to NC DMV to get her tag however, ******* ****** had 2 civil penalties due with NC DMV. We texted her regarding the fees advised her contact NC DMV so we can get her tag. After a week or so, we tried again to get her tag, Civil penalty fees were still not paid to ****** therefore we continued to register the vehicle without a tag. We have no control over how NC DMV works. Had ******* ****** called our offices regarding her concerns, we would have been more than happy to assist but she never called. Had she paid the ****** Civil penalty fees, we would have been able to get her a tag, but she did not. We disagree with the dispute and will not be refunding ******* ******.Initial Complaint

Ima tell my story later but first we need to stop this place of business from the scamming tactics they use to prey on hard-working people.. false, misrepresentation, inaccurate information to influence your decision making.. ** its advertised as job not we still going to pull your credit for the $500 approval ! Just to get a bigger down payment then the $500 that everyone suppose to be approved for off your income ! To them making you get their in-house car insurance with that high 500 deducible just so they can come take your car for the not right insurance! Then will change up their words but I have a recording that will contradict what was said to me versus what was put on paper ! We all need to come together for this class lawsuit against them ! Bc they are not being truthful about lending ! Ask this ! Did their in house bank actually give you value?? ** we now know with this alleged car loan we was not able to withdraw the funds relating to the check they so called funded! For the loan! They claim they gave us a loan which would have been something of Value and they didnt ! Request for full accounting and disclosure of funds derived from this secured transaction. Definitely sounds like misrepresentation of contract ! So these false breaches of contracts yall claim to repo people just to get the full payment are hideous to the violations all are committing on us ! Lets all come together and tackle this place of business! Im not looking for a response from this place of business but looking out for the next person to not become a victim as you can see all these other complaints and bad reviews are similar to the scam theyre running!! 0/10 I dont highly recommend!!Business Response

Good morning, Ride Now Motors advertising mentions "ON APRROVED CREDIT (OAC)". Ride Now Motors does not offer in house insurance. Ride Now Motors has helped multiple customers looking for auto insurance quotes if they are having a hard time finding auto insurance. The customers will speak to the insurance agents over the phone to receive their quote and or purchase the insurance policy. This is NOT Ride Now Motors in house insurance, these agencies are a 3rd party companies. Ride Now Motors will NOT be providing Ms. ******** a refund as she was repossessed due to no auto insurance coverage on the vehicle and for breaching the signed contract after contacting her multiple times and not hearing back from her. Thank you.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:
The ticket that the repo man showed said yall said I missed a car payment which was incorrect ! I called yall to see why my car was being repo yall said because no update on insurance which the insurance was on the car when it got repo ! Yall said update the deductible which I spent 200 to change the deductible. Then I called back yall said bc I was no longer in the state of ************** I had to provide proof of income, residency, and insurance! Then yall said yall wouldnt accept none of my paper work because now I was using the car for business which I never place this car under a LLC for business! I have this all on recording exactly what you said versus what you put on paper. No yall dont try to help people find insurance this is all way to try control someone with what kind insurance they can get with 500 deductible is insane! This is yall way of getting money out of people after they put they hard earned money into yall cars. Look at all the other complaints are the same ! But that double booking entry in the accounts will show 45 days after the sale the obligation was set off after yall received the check from the treasury! Im comen after my security interest that is owe to me !Business Response

Ms. ******** purchased the 2019 ******* Elantra on 10/07/2024. The vehicle had been location in ********* since 10/13/2024. On 02/19/2025 Ride Now Motors became aware that the insurance policy cancelled on 02/10/2025. At this point Ms. ******** was contacted multiple times. On 02/25/2025 vehicle was repossessed, Ms. ******** failed to provide updated insurance. Ms ******** then mentions she moved to ********* and that she is using vehicle amazon deliveries and Instacart. Failure to update Ride Now Motors of updated insurance, location of vehicle, and using vehicle for hire is a breach of contract, please refer to the Consent form, Agreement to furnish insurance and Retail Installment Contract attached. Therefore Ride Now Motors declared Payoff. Ride Now Motors will NOT refund Ms. ******** due to the breach of contract. Thank you!Customer Answer

I financed a car thru ride now 8/24/24 with $2,000 down. I agreed to carry full coverage insurance. Was approved that day and all documents from my cosigner and I were accepted, icluding the insurance coverage and DL info. Next payment of $750 was made by me, after ******** initially refused to take it due to the fact that they accepted cosigners proof of residence but changed their minds when this payment was due. We provided new proof of residence, to which they then took the $750 but claimed it was late. Next payment was attempted by me but was refused also as they said the I had dropped my full coverage, which I didnt and had no knowledge of --- this info was provided to me on a friday -- to which I made contact with my ins policy. They informed me they dropped my full coverage on 9/19 without my knowledge or consent. Ride now said I had to reinstate this coverage for them to accept payment. Drove to ins company Direct) on monday at first available opportunity, approximately 4 pm. I called financer while otw to Direct and was told to call them after I left there. First, Direct said I only needed the registration, which I provided. Then, they changed and said also my DL and cosigners DL, which was then provided. After she made copies and received cosigners email, I was about to exit the business when she said that by law my **** was not acceptable, only my cosigners was ok--- my DL was clean and valid. I needed a ****,, which I have never had, only ever had SCDL since 15 yo. At this point, it was after 5 & I left with the intention of obtaining another DL next day, but it was after 5 & too late to call financers, so I intended to call first thing next day. About 2&1/2 hrs later a wrecker showed up to Dairy Queen, where my 14yo ******* were eating and took my car. The 27th my payment was refused, and I was then made aware of Direct dropping full coverage, and on 9/30 my car was taken due to no actions by me, without warning or explanation or time to resolve issueBusiness Response

To whom it may concern,
Mrs. Fiona Williams purchased the 2014 Hyundai Veloster on 08/24/2024 and put a down payment of $2000. As she stated, she did sign and agreed to pay Ride Now Motors a deferred down payment of $750.00 on 09/07/2024. On 09/09/2024 payment was 2 days past due. As shown in the text message log attached, an invoice link was to sent to Mrs. Williams multiple times beginning on 09/09/2024. Payment was not refused by Ride Now Motors in any way. Ride Now Motors provided proper documentation at time of sale as well as during the time the payment was delinquent. Mrs. Williams made payment on 09/14 as shown on the receipt attached. After payment was made with Ride Now Motors on 09/14/2024, the deal was finalized with the Finance Company Credit Financial Group. Once an account is finalized and sent to the Finance company, Ride Now Motors no longer has control nor access to the customers account. Ride Now Motors was not the company who contacted Mrs. Williams regarding the insurance nor did we repossess vehicle.Initial Complaint

This automotive dealership advertises that everyone is approved for financing with only $500 down. They also advertise that your job is your credit with in house financing. They asked over the phone if if I was interested in another vehicle because the one I was asking about had been sold. I told them which car and ****************** who was assisting me, said he was going to loom at my file. He came back saying that I need 15% down payment to be approved. When I asked about why they didn't say that on the website, he stated that the 500 down is upon approval. If everyone is approved according to their advertisements with only 500 down, then I have been lied to on top of marks on my credit for them running a credit check. No credit check should have been ran if your job is your credit with everyone approved, and if a credit check is ran, then they should have to honor their advertisement. Their advertisements need to be removed and the points against my credit for a credit check, needs to be removed.Business Response

The website states $500 down on approved credit. After we pulled his application he did not qualify for $500 down he was advised he needed 15% down of price.. We are not changing website. OAC means on approved credit.Customer Answer
Date: 07/29/2024
I am rejecting this response because:
No where on the website, ******** page, or even the adds that are ran, does it say anything about "on approved credit". So many people find the adds and have hope because they are in situations of not being able to get car loans, but need a vehicle to get to work. They see the adds, they see the "Guaranteed Approval" with any credit situation, and they have hope, only to find that their credit does still hurt them and it isn't $500 down with Guaranteed approval. I'm not asking to honor the agreement. I'm simply asking that them to stop running adds that say $500 down and Guaranteed approvals for any credit. Boldly state the with approved credit part if you're going to rely on their credit. Every dealership offers 500 down. Most will even take $0 down if someone's credit is good enough so stop running those adds and stop building people's hopes, only to run their credit, cause hits on their credit reports, and ultimately, leave them discouraged and feeling hopeless.Business Response

OKCustomer Answer
Date: 07/29/2024
I am rejecting this response because:
"Ok" is not good enough. The sign on the building needs to go as well. It states "Your job is your credit". If that were true, then no credit reports would need to be ran and even if it were, it wouldn't dictate how much down-payment would be needed. It's one way or the other, not both and to keep the signs along with the adds running saying guaranteed approval and 500 down, but then base everything on credit credit reports, then it is false advertisement which is illegal. No business is above the law! You cannot run credit checks and base down payments on that when you have signs stating "Your job is your credit", and run advertisements saying guaranteed approval and 500 down. If you want to run credit checks, that is fine. It's what everyone does, but don't mislead people by saying their job is their credit and they are guaranteed to be approved, but then turn around and tell them that because of their credit report, they need more money down.Initial Complaint

After me and my husband purchased a vehicle through them and paid around 10k down, my husband was out of work a week and we were behind 10 days on our payment which they were notified the loan would be caught up the very next day when he got paid. A repo-vehicle came on private property (PWC of ************) which they are not allowed to reposess a vehicle there, and took the car. When we called trying to resolve the issue they avoided answering our calls until the next day. They then proceeded to tell us that the vehicle needed to be paid in full 18k to get it back. I've reviewed every page in the contract and none of this is mentioned. When I notified them of this I was hung up on and ignored yet again. I've spent close to 14k already since purchasing the car in late February of this year. I even read the entire contract before signing, there's no way I would have agreed to any of these circumstances had I been notified prior to buying from them, emergencies happen all the time and it causes you to be a pay period late but at least be honest with your customers and understanding. This business has done no such thing and I am going to talk to a lawyer about what I can do about the situation.Business Response

I purchased a car form here 2/22/24 an Infiniti Q50 Red Sport , I was insisted that the car was good and hasnt been driven much since the previous owner. After a few days of having the car head gasket blew, I ended up getting it replaced (cash since my extended warranty wouldnt work with the problem) . After a week later coolant was in the engine and this was not because of the mechanic. The sellers didnt let me know any of this, it was already being a reoccurring problem before me they just never fixed it. Now my car is overheating I told them could they atleast check it out. They told me its nothing they can doBusiness Response

BBB asks third parties who publish complaints, reviews and/or responses on this website to affirm that the information provided is accurate. However, BBB does not verify the accuracy of information provided by third parties, and does not guarantee the accuracy of any information in Business Profiles.
When considering complaint information, please take into account the company's size and volume of transactions, and understand that the nature of complaints and a firm's responses to them are often more important than the number of complaints.
BBB Business Profiles generally cover a three-year reporting period. BBB Business Profiles are subject to change at any time. If you choose to do business with this business, please let the business know that you contacted BBB for a BBB Business Profile.
As a matter of policy, BBB does not endorse any product, service or business. Businesses are under no obligation to seek BBB accreditation, and some businesses are not accredited because they have not sought BBB accreditation. BBB charges a fee for BBB Accreditation. This fee supports BBB's efforts to fulfill its mission of advancing marketplace trust.
