    First payment in May to have a book written within 1 year. Did not sign a contract. Struggled with computer programming and asked for help . . thought my age (77) may have been too old. Husband (love of my life) died in Feb. of this year. Should have waited a full year before taking on something new. In a former life was married to an abuser and wanted to help other women with my book. ***** (in charge) became agitated in a video chat that included one other writer and a psychologist. I had trouble following his thought process regarding how to condense a paragraph describing the book. I realized during that video that he did not comprehend the scale and magnitude of abuse of women. He told me I needed to do research on what abused women had in common. The answer was 1 being a woman and 2 having witnessed your Mom being abused. I decided I needed to stop the program because it was not helping me cope with grief as I had hoped but was increasing my stress. My heart rate was rapid and I felt sick. At the same time a 2nd payment went through and I let it because I had made the disastrous decision to trust them. However, I do not want that company to take any more of my $$ through PayPal. It was not made clear in the beginning that I would not be able to stop the program. I saw other people say the same thing on BBB although they are not accredited by BBB. May and June 2024 $797.00 x 2 I did file a review prior to this but my review of that company and 2 others had been removed.This choice was not included as to the desired settlement . . . but the company should make it very clear to anyone joining that it will be difficult to quit! Better yet, change their policy and do not keep it a secret!

We have a very clear "no refunds" policy available at hopebooks.com/terms, which all of our clients agree to when they sign up. We completely understand that there is an emotional weight to writing a book, and that can often lead to overwhelming feelings. But we are here to support our authors every step of the way.

    I am rejecting this response because:
    No one said look @ terms. 2 other people on BBB said same as me. You dont favor elderly. You are too busy to be of help to all. You never answered my request from HopeWriters, let alone HopeBooks.  You are not listening to me. You gave a refund to one of the above 2 people on BBB. You wrote agree on FB when baby boomers were compared to ***********. Why would you want me back. You also text me twice last night after I requested not to hear from you.
