      Forget the old customer is always right philosophy at Coastal Home OBX in ****************, **, their real motto is bully, shame, and lie to the customer while refusing to stand behind their workmanship. I spent thousands furnishing multiple rooms. For one of four bedrooms, I ordered the **** bed in a pewter finish to coordinate with a dresser and nightstand. At my design meeting with *****, I was shown the **** in a white-wash finish and told it could be custom done in pewter. My invoice clearly specifies pewter. What I received was nothing close the bed delivered was a rough, black/charcoal version already flaking. It looked so bad a friend joked it had been salvaged from a fire. I notified my attorney within 24 hours of delivery. I asked that the bed be replaced with either another **** bed finished in pewter or the display model.Instead of correcting their mistake, Coastals solutions were:? Remove the bed, leave me with an empty room after delays, and issue a store credit I cant use, or ? Demand I pay $831.95 more ($450 delivery fee + $381.95 upcharge) to get the very bed I thought I had already purchased.And then it got worse. Instead of owning their workmanship issues, owner **** *** sent emails calling me ridiculous, insulting, and even a lunatic. He accused me of outbursts when every communication on my end has been handled professionally through my attorney.I didnt ask for an upgrade, favor, or discount. I only wanted the **** bed in pewter that I was sold, invoiced for, and paid for in good faith. Not a credit. Not a downgrade. And certainly not an upcharge for a bed I already bought.After weeks of stalling and gaslighting, the truth is clear: if something goes wrong, Coastal Homes playbook is to insult the customer, deny responsibility, and try to make you pay again for their mistake.       Don't rent from brimbly realtors. So many things wrong. Dirty from top to bottom. ***** pipe in pool that hurt one of my children. Fans, lights, outlets, oven not working. Fire ant roaches, and spiders. Nothing happened. Called 5 of the 7 days here. They should be looked into. They told us read the contract.
