    On April 10, 2024, ***'s Moving Company arrived at ******************************************************* to pick up and load my items on their truck for my move to *******. I had booked them through Metro-Hop Relocation.They loaded my items. Since I didn't have a confirmed address yet, they told me to call and provide that information. I was told that within a 10 day window, I would have my items delivered.On April 17, 2024, I did call and provided them with an address and was asked to text it to them. I did exactly that.I called repeatedly to get and update and was told they were waiting on a truck. (???)I would called every 2 days, and on Saturday, May 4,2024 was informed that they were loading the truck and I would hear from the driver. I call today, May 7, 2024 and they said they would check and call me right back, that was 6 hours ago, and they are not answering their phone.I was quoted a price of $2500.00, I provided the deposit of $841.00, and an additional $900.00, since the load was going to be bigger. I provided them with the additional dollars they required, $ 1500.00.When they arrived, the driver said that the load was more and raised the price yet again.So, the $2500.00 move is now over $4900.00. I want my possessions, I want an apology, and I want money back because they failed to meet their contract agreement. I had 30 days of free storage, and that will end on May 10, 2024. There is NO EXCUSE for a company to treat a customer in this manner.I need to get this resolved now!!!     Yes we did pick up this job from Nc to ** on the 10th of April, 2024. ******************************, was told by our driver that she was over her estimate cf and was told that if she want more cf there was a up charge and she agreed to the more cf and the up charge more. she also was told about the 30 days free storage to which he too agreed to. on April 20th she call to update her address and was told that we will put in the  schedule, four days later she call to let us know she want her things on the first of may and was told that we will try our best since we did have some customers oh the schedule and that we were waiting on a truck. on Saturday may 4 she call and was inform that here belongings where being loading and the diver was goin to call her when he was closer since the tuck was goin down to ******* but was doing deliveries on his way to her.  yesterday she call and was told that that her belongings will be delivery this weekend may ***** and she will receive a call 24 hours before arriving and she said ok thankyou. We do apologize for being a bit back up but her belongings are on there way. again we are very sorry this is taking a bit long. if there is any question gives a call at ************ Sincerely, ***'s Moving Company LLC

    I am rejecting this response because:
    I was quoted a price of $2500.00, deposit of  ******, then an additional $900.00, when picked up, I paid an additional $1500.00. I was told the additional cf would be $306.00 more. Yes, they did do some packing of items, and I have no problem paying for  that. However, their updated bill now stated total cost would be $4900.00. 

    The company's issue with a truck should not become the cystomer's problem. 

    i was closing on that home on April 10, 2024, so I needed to be out.

    The estimate was just that, but to almost double my cost is crazy. 

    I was stuck with using them, but would have gone elsewhere if I had more time to find another company, but sadly I was stuck.

    They should have come and calculated my cf themselves, which they did not do. Again, this was their short coming.

    I want a cost adjustment for this move. Just for the extended delay and their added cost. 

    Every time I called, I was given the pat answer of 'we're waiting on a truck', if the call was even answered. Voice mails were NEVER returned.

    I had to sign the documents so that would load, and was forced to agree the the added cost, but again, my items were being held for ******. 

    I think it would be fair to pay the driver 50% of the balance owed, which would be approximately $850.00. This would bring my total to about $4,100.00

    Through the broker ******* Moving, I booked a moving company on Oct 3, 2022 to delivery my belongings from ********** ** ** ******* *** ***** C informed me that the DOT gives transportation companies a 5-14 day window to deliver shipments, but they have been getting them completed in 6-8 days. I paid them $800.70. On Oct 7, 2022 Sal’s Moving Company picked up my property. I paid them $968 on a revised written estimate (original was $603.50) as they said I went over my cubic feet. I was told by the driver, ****, they had a delivery on the truck that was heading to WV then delivering me to Texas. I called them on Oct 13 to see if they would be there as I informed them my earliest delivery date was 10/13. ****, the receptionist, told me my items were actually in storage in their NC headquarters and the truck was in Florida. There was no expected delivery timeframe provided. I was never informed my items were stored nor did I provide consent. I called daily from 10/13 to today with the same response: Their truck is in Florida, they're backed up, they don't know when the truck will be back. I’ve asked to speak to the manager ******** 3 times with no call back. I’ve sent a formal email with no response. I would like a billing adjustment as well as my items delivered. I owe $968 upon delivery. I have spent money on clothes, necessities, an air bed and more to be able to survive without my belongings that hav yet to be delivered by the provided delivery timeframe. Order # ********
