I pre-ordered a collector's edition June 21st, ***************** $231.95. After being delayed THREE times, I logged into my account to find out when it was supposed to ship and the order was gone. After reaching out to support with my information, they told me no orders exist with any of my ************** basically they've scammed me out of $231.95 and are telling me there's nothing they can do. Not only that, but it's been too long to be able to file a dispute with my financial institution which almost feels deliberate that it has been OVER A YEAR since pre-ordering this, and now that we're approaching the month they're suppose to ship out, they've just lost my order and it's likely that even my own financial institution can't help.Initial Complaint

The company lied to me claiming a digital game key would be emailed on 9/25. This was told to me in an official service ticket and on social media (attached image and on the Bluesky hyperlink). They used vague verbiage intentionally on the internal ticket, unable to give a specific time of delivery after further prompting (but originally stated it would be on the release date of 9/25 before verbally backtracking into more vague terms), purposefully leaving in broad to cover themselves in a very anti-consumer feeling way. But on the social media reply, they state firmly I would receive the product on the 9/25. The digital game key never arrived on that date. Because of the stringing along, I am unable to refund without missing out on a pre-order bonus digital item in the digital game, since the release date has passed. I had believed their words that it would be delivered on time and now I am stuck with my order unless I want to miss out on content. **********************************************************************Initial Complaint

I ordered the Tomb Raider Remastered IIII Collectors Edition from Limited Run Games in spring 2024 for $261.06. The release was delayed multiple times, and I finally canceled my order July 18th ******* soon as I received the cancellation confirmation by email, I realized that I had originally paid with my Viabuy card. I immediately contacted Limited Run Games and informed them, since ****** permanently shut down in August 2024 and all accounts were closed. A staff member told me this would't be a problem and that I would get help if the refund didn't arrive.When the refund period had passed and I had still not received the money, I contacted them again. From then on their replies changed. They only gave me an ARN and told me it was up to me to resolve the issue with my bank. I tried, but Viabuy was no longer reachable. I also contacted ****, the company behind ******, and they confirmed they cannot help and referred me back to the merchant Limited Run Games.Despite me explaining this many times, Limited Run Games refuses to help. They insist the refund is completed just because they have an ARN, even though I never received my money. They even claimed they could issue a new refund, but only if I make sure that they first receive the funds back from ****** which is of course impossible for me, since ****** no longer exists.I even provided Limited Run Games with an alternative refund option (my ****** email) and gave them a reasonable deadline. Instead of resolving the matter, they continue to ********* short: I never received the refund. ****** does not exist. **** confirmed only the merchant can resolve this. Limited Run Games refuses to take responsibility and to issue a valid refund to an active payment method. I bought two editions of a Rugrats NES game from Limited Run. However, shortly after receiving them, news came out that the cartridges were defective.******************************************************************************************************************************************************* Run then falsely promised that they would be sending out replacement cartridges to everybody, including an email that I, myself, received from them (attached).However, despite my interest in the promised replacement cart, Limited Run replied to my support ticket (which was made prior to these announced replacement carts) weeks later giving me a PARTIAL refund instead, and refusing to supply me with the promised replacement cartridges despite that being my preference. Limited Run failed to do due diligence in ensuring which course of action I wanted to take given that they had never promised replacements at the time of that support ticket, which they just sat on for two weeks.Additionally, the refund they gave me was PARTIAL despite promising a full refund within the email. Limited Run has since failed to rectify this horribly bungled situation and ignored future support requests from me (for even longer than the two weeks of the original request they ignored).I want my replacement carts that were falsely promised to me. That is the resolution to this scenario. I am a paying customer of the product and should be entitled to them just as well as anybody else. Barring that, I demand a full refund (which is even stated in the attached email!), but if Limited Run Games actually cares at all about rectifying the situation they caused, they will simply send me the replacements as promised.Initial Complaint

I have purchased multiple items with the business and when they arrive damaged, they refuse to replace the parts damaged as they do not appear on their policy. For example, a plastic box inside of the main item box maybe broken but they will refuse to replace as it's not the main items regardless of if I've paid for it or not. They cannot trade where they expect people to pay money up front for an item that arrives in any way damaged then say they will not replace those items as they don't deem it damaged. They sell collectors editions that are manufactured sometimes over a year later and treat customers as they do.Initial Complaint

I placed an order with them on 12/18/22 for a preorder of a product. They charged me, and stated production would begin and it would ship out later on. It took much longer than they initially stated for the product to ship, and in such time I had moved to a different address. I attempted to contact them numerous times, and attempted to change my address, and they refused. They are now shipping the product to the old address, which I do not reside at. They also refuse to issue a refund. They basically refuse to give me the product I purchased, and customer support told me to go pound sand.Initial Complaint

Company gave an estimated delivery time of 9 months, but did not deliver on that estimate and has made no attempt to remedy the situation. They have violated FTC regulations by refusing to deliber within ************************** providing a refund. They never asked if I was okay with delayed delivery and refuse to provide a refund now. They still don't have an estimated delivery time, and keep giving me the run around, stating that the item is in the preparing for shipment phase for over 3 months already. To Whom It May ********* am writing to file a formal complaint against Limited Run Games concerning an unfulfilled pre-order for the product "Trip World for the Game Boy," for which I paid $106.88 on June 10th. Despite the company's policy suggesting a 4-6 month delivery timeline post-pre-order window, I have yet to receive my order or any substantial updates on its status.The absence of communication from Limited Run Games regarding the prolonged delay in shipment is not only unacceptable but also indicative of poor customer service and a disregard for consumer rights. Their ongoing claim that the product is still in production contradicts the timeline they initially provided, misleading me and possibly others, and raises concerns of false advertising.Having patiently waited beyond the reasonable expected delivery period, I am compelled to seek immediate resolution. I request that Limited Run Games promptly provide a detailed update on my order's status, including an explicit shipping date. Moreover, considering the significant inconvenience and lack of respect for consumer satisfaction, I assert that compensation is due in addition to the delivery of the product.Please be informed, should Limited Run Games not provide a satisfactory response by the end of next week, I will have no choice but to consult with a lawyer to explore legal options for obtaining redress. On 7/18/23 and 7/19/23 I made a purchase from limited run games that totaled $53.40. 2 different orders $26.70 per order. I ordered 2 protective longbox cb cases on each order. I waited awhile and messaged them which took 3 days for them to get back to me. They messaged back and said they where working on it. I was told that I would get a email when my orders where shipped out. So I waited some more and heard nothing. I messaged again and heard nothing. Waited another week and messaged again and mentioned that I would report them to you guys if I don't get my orders. Once I did that they responded back the next day. They said they where sorry and that they would check on my orders and they would get sent out. So I waited some more. I could understand if my orders where preorders that haven't got released yet and would have to wait but these are just protective cases no preorder. I ended up messaging them again but they don't respond. Here it is just alittle over a month and still nothings been shipped out to me. My order numbers are ******* and *******.
