- Advertising Review:
On May 17, 2023, BBB serving Mississippi found one or more advertised claims for which we requested substantiation, modification, or discontinuation. The claims are as follows:
1. Satisfaction Guaranteed on home page of website and under about, https://tandmcontractors.com/.
2. Satisfaction Guaranteed on yelp page, https://www.yelp.com/biz/t-and-m-contractors-brandon.
According to the BBB Code of Advertising #20 Warranties/Guarantees, https://www.bbb.org/code-of-advertising#Warranties_Or_Guarantees, when using the term “warranty” or “guarantee” in product advertising, the advertiser must clearly and conspicuously include a statement that the complete details of the warranty can be seen prior to sale at the advertiser's location, viewed on the advertiser’s website or, in the case of mail or telephone order sales, made available free on written request. Advertisers should only use “satisfaction guarantee,” “money back guarantee,” “free trial offer,” or similar representations in advertising if the seller or manufacturer refunds the full purchase price of the advertised product or service at the consumer's request. When “satisfaction guarantee” or similar representations are used in advertising, any material limitations or conditions that apply to the guarantee must be clearly and conspicuously disclosed.
As of today, September 20, 2023, the business has chosen not to respond to phone or email correspondents requesting substantiation, modification, or discontinuation of the advertised claims in question.
BBB Business Profiles are provided solely to assist you in exercising your own best judgment. BBB does not verify the accuracy of information provided by third parties, and does not guarantee the accuracy of any information in Business Profiles. As a matter of policy, BBB does not endorse any product, service, or business. Businesses are under no obligation to seek BBB accreditation, and some businesses are not accredited because they have not sought BBB accreditation.
When considering complaint information, please consider the company's size and volume of transactions. Note that the nature of complaints and a company’s responses to them are often more important than the number of complaints. BBB Business Profiles generally cover a three-year reporting period.
