      My complaint isn't specific to this or any other location. I filed my taxes online. I chose H&R block because I'm leaving my state this year and I needed to get the biggest refund possible. H&r block advertises the biggest refunds. I paid $160 to have my taxes reviewed by a "professional". I'm single, make below 60k, had $6500 worth of deductions which I'm sure is abnormal. In additional to the $160 I spent on the "tax professional" I owe $1000+. I find that hard to believe. I could have done this for free on Cash App. I would will not and would not ever recommend paying h&r block to do your taxes. From what I experienced you can get the same or better results doing it yourself for free. Do not call me. Email only.

      The online service is a scam. They are getting people information and utilizing it fraudulently. There's always a glitch in the system, meaning, you can't see your tax forms that they fill out. The *** needs to look into their practice and file charges for the many people that they are scamming.

      This business is absolutely horrible. They did nothing for me when one of their tax pros removed a dependent and refiled my taxes prior to me agreeing the removal of the dependent. Left me with not many options. And when I kept trying to reach out they dismissed me. And they told me it happened because I wanted to pay my professional with my return!!!

      Delay in completing returns online. THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH A SPECIFIC OFFICE, DID TAXES ONLINE.I have always been happy with H&R Block and I pay the extra $60 to have someone review my returns. Last year this worked seamlessly. I have simple returns.Did the same thing this year and I'm concerned because it usually takes 3-5 days, last year taking 4 days. I filed my returns for review on March 4th and I still haven't heard anything. In the portal it says my returns are being worked on.Also, we got the same person we had last year who was very communicative but this year she is not responding to any of our messages asking for an update and a reason why our simple returns are not completed. MY REAL COMPLAINT IS THE H&R BLOCK CUSTOMER SERVICE LINE.I've tried calling it numerous times. 1st time I was put on hold and told someone would be with me. I was cut off and the call was dropped. I called the same number back and this time I received an automated msg about products they were selling. Called again and this time they wanted the full SS# where the first time, it only asked for the last four digits. I am furious that the message is different each time so you start to wonder if it's a scam phone number and I can't get a hold of ANYONE to find out why my returns are not done. Last year, 4 days. This year, we are on day 10 and the tax person isn't responding to our msgs and I can't get through the customer service system. No option on the website to chat or msg anyone either. You have to call the phone number that changes their msg every time you call. Very poor customer service. I've never had an issue before but is that what everyone experiences when they have a problem with H&R Block??

      I have been treated extremely poorly by the staff at this location. I paid and filled my taxes 35 days ago, four days after filling I received a corrected W2 from my employer and dropped this off to the staff. I asked for a call, and provided my number and email. I never received a call, Ive been calling three days a week, and stopped by the location. Each time I stopped by looking to get this handled, I was told I would receive a returned call. The call never happened. Today I asked the manager if I can have a return of the filling fee due to this process taking 35 days and no returned call. She dismissed me and invalidated me. I have to refile my taxes to ensure they are complete with the documents I received in the mail. To this she responded with you would not have been able to file your taxes if they were complete. She didnt listen to any of the voicemails or staff messages about my case. I would like a complete refund, so my service can be finished elsewhere.

      I have recently used hrblock out of ********, ******** (2023). My recommendation is that nobody uses this location for tax services. Reasons... One, fees are not addressed up front. I was charged 145 dollars year and because I added my child in the 2023 tax year, I was surprised when I found out that fees were over 400. Dollars (upon depositin bank account). I was not told this information at all during my tax return process. I would have left and found another tax service. Two, after two years of living at the same address and using the same *******, I found that the ******* does not accurately verify all personal data although I had prepared all information neatly and orderly prior to appointment. Tax Representative doesn't allow customer time to accurately verify information on computer screens casuing mailing problems.

      I took our files with us, i did NOT file my taxes with them. I used a site with my husband and they keep harassing me, calling me at work, ect saying I have to give them money. I never filed my taxes with them, we walked out.

      I am writing this review today to find someone in your corporation to review this since your support email address just blocks emails. I was having issues with my return because I changed insurance in the middle of the year, and have two different insurance forms a ****-A and a ****-B, I had a life-changing event and was promoted to full-time and have been on my employer's insurance for the year. when I went through the prompts I was notified that I may receive a penalty for not having the full year of insurance which isn't true, so I reached out to your customer support advised them of the situation and was told I needed to upgrade my services so that I can access the form to submit. The problem is I upgraded and was not able to get the form I needed to submit the representative attempted to have me access a 1099-B, and once I opened the form to fill out, I realized that this was not the form I needed I went on and explained to the rep what I was trying to do again but we were not able to get what I was looking to do accomplished. I reached out to a few other reps to try to resolve this issue, I found out information that concluded that I did not need the upgraded services and when I attempted to have the rep put the service I needed back I was advised that I would lose all the information I entered for this year's tax return I wasted a few hours of my time trying to get to the bottom of one form entry, I come to realize in today's times that customers are not treated with respect but as if they are #s, we do not get treated like people but just another message, another problem that falls into categories of some chain of commands and no-one considers the individual's issue being penalized for being told I would be able to do something that I was not able to do and bc no one in your support **** will consider the fact that I what I was told was wrong from the start. I tried to email but email was blocked.

      HR Block charged me for filing my taxes for the State of ******. The filing was improperly completed and resulted in me having to file an amended return. I am unable to contact them to request a refund for the return completed improperly.

      Their services are horrible! After being very quick to introduce me to all of the "premium features" that they have including "Peace of mind" and then take my money promptly with a sentence "No refund" in the receipt, I went through such an emotional ordeal trying to get my taxes done with a "tax pro" who hardly responded to my messages within 3-5 business days. When I called the service support ***************, the "supporters" said that they do not have my records in the system and responded with a "I don't care", hypocritical attitude. The conversation then ended with "your case has been escalated; wait 3-5 business days to hear back either by phone or emails". I waited 10 business days and did not hear anything back from them. When I went to one of the local offices to seek help, even the lady who worked there did not know what was going on; she said that my case was the first in her 23 years of working for H&R Block, that she was very sorry for what happened and did not know what else to do to help me, and that I should call the customer service center to ask for a refund. That goes to show how unbelievable there service is! Here is to H&R Block managers: You should stop advertising about your services. Instead of trying to get as many customers as possible just so that you don't have time to take good care of a bunch of them, scale back and treat your customers like humans; not cows from which you milk quick money! Bad services and terrible customer support in this day and age will never fly!
