  My daughter, who earns a meager salary as a waitress and struggling makeup artist, responded to the "free" H&R Block tax prep ad, particularly the ******* H&R Block on *************. She prepared her taxes online as their program required and it was accepted and noted an expected refund from both State and Federal. When she tried, on several occasions, to submit the forms to the IRS/State, they were declined. She called the H&R Block (Magnolia) and they said she would have to come in so they could assist. She made an appointment and went in. Miraculously, the forms were them acceptable but they wanted over $300 for the service. they conveniently encouraged her to pay it from her expected refund. She declined, as she simply needed the refund money for bills. When she got home, she went to the Turbo Tax website, completed their forms with the exact information, and it was accepted online and filed with the **** You use your discretion on whether this was a legitimate practice by H&R ******* or not, but I know my daughter will never use them again nor will I. We wanted this known to people as this seems to be an illegitimate practice, kind of like a bait and switch. Shame if they are doing this to people with limited resources.

  They lied and double charged me for services out of $132 for my tax return I received $38 they me get the ************** couldn't take it off this is obsurd

  H/R block in ******* ** deposited my sons taxes in the wrong account. I have called them several time and they cant understand and tell Me I told them something different when I know exactly what I told them! Our tax specialist had all three account/routing numbers yet they somehow screwed up and wont fix it! I am livid! They made a mistake and they need to fix it not tell me that I am wrong!

  $774?! We met with a Tax Pro to help us prepare and file our taxes, understanding that the "Starting at $85" probably meant after a few fees we'd be paying a hundred or two. The appointment started late, then we were rushed out the door because they had another appointment booked, and all the back and forth via email etc, and I just got a bill for $774?!?! I'm speechless.

  Tax Pro has lied, stopped responding to email and didn't finish filing my taxes. She was paid already. I have called over 15 times trying to get this issue resolved. Everyone says the next person will handle it and they will call. Yet no one has handled the issue or called! This has been going on for over a month. At this point I just want my taxes filed but I can't get into it online. H&R Block is the worst tax professional service to ever use!

  Filed 2021 taxes . It has been over a year and I still haven't gotten my return. I called and spoke to the *** and they confirmed they already deposited my return to ******* **** company under H and R block in March of 2022, for ******* to disperse to me and that there is no reason I shouldn't have my money and that I need to follow up with ******* because ******* has already received my money . IV called ******* **** numerous times, they have given me a case number, but it's been in their " escalations " team , and was closed by them after a week, without any contact with me,ABSOLUTLY no resolve and none of my tax return added to my account. IV called and reopened the case again because I still don't have the money they are supposed to dispense to me, and am again told the case is with " escalations " . There is ABSOLUTLY no reason I shouldn't get my return back and no reason it should be taking over a year for my tax return to be deposited on my ****, when the *** ALREADY DISPENSED MY REFUND TO ******* FOR THEM TO PUT ON MY ******* **** OVER A YEAR AGO. I'm beginning to feel that this is fraud from ******* because they were given my money and are not dispensing my tax return money to me.

  I was contacted to inform me *********** had quit. I was paired wth someone random who called and stated she was not qualified to do my taxes. So I got paired with a more season person who basically waited til the end of preparing my taxes to tell me, she didn't know what to do about my payback for a first time home buyer credit. I was instructed to email her more information. On February 15th I did just that,I have not heard back from her. So I reached out again, I was still ignored. A whole month later I'm searching for someone new to complete my taxes. I am very annoyed and disappointed as I have been an H&R block customer for years.

  Paid for premium services. Submitted my final signed documents on 02/22/2023 and the excuse has been ever since, "So sorry about this but there is a glitch in our system that is not allowing your approval to register. I am in the process of documenting this to our Technical Support area and in trying to demonstrate what is happening, it generated another request to you. If you happen to get anymore, just ignore them unless you hear from me. Again, I am so sorry about the inconvenience to you and the delay in getting your return submitted, but I am working diligently with our support team to resolve this as soon as possible."Cannot believe it takes a corporation this size, more than a month, to get technical issues resolved unless they've stopped feeding the hamsters, then I get it.

  They say that I am eligible for Saver's Credit, and then when I am ready to file, they will not let me file unless I pay for the ************** for $55. I agree, and they charge me another $40 for my state. While I downgraded it, they erased all of my information. Very deceptive and underhanded piracy! They should be fined for this. They should tell us that we must upgrade for credits before we begin the form. Waiting until we are just about to file is deceptive and unprofessional! Never again!

  ***** Block, they cannot help if they did the taxes incorrectly. You have to pay for a fee for them to correct it. They have fees on top of fees that do not appear on the receipt. The receipt only shows the total amount. I am 68 years old. I only have social security and pension. I was charged $224 dollars.
