I had a old account with ****** which they picked up and have sent me numerous letters to pay. I sent an email and I agreed to settle for an amount. And then once I paid, they stopped communications and blocked me from email and refuse to answer any other questions . I want my debt cleared and reported to the credit agency like we agreed upon, I paid$700 of the $1,219. Which then was to settle the account paid OFF!! They left a remaining balance and then stopped communication.Customer Answer

I have reviewed the business' response and am rejecting it because:
If you are not the current creditor or cannot make any deals or negotiation, why are you able to fraudulently Take $700 from me and tell me. My debt is settled??? when when BB reached out to you. You state that this is not your account.??? So Will you refund my money? Since you do not have this account, so I can pay it to the proper account holder to clear this debt?? I would like a refund .
Sincerely,
****** ******Business Response

I called ******* several times to work out a payment plan for a past due credit card debt several times they offered no assistance and sent my account to **********************. I called LLC to try and resolve this debt. The first representative started by LECTURING ME about what I agreed to when I opened this account with ******* I called to resolve this debt Not be insulted or lectured. He hung up the phone on me so I called back and spoke to the lead ****** at clinic Control LLC named *****. The first ****** was the collection backto *******. I find that LLC Credit control. LLC was rude disrespectful and very unhelpful in resolving this matter when I am calling to resolve my debt, not the other way around. ****** The second ****** was ***** who said he would file a complaint about ****** but that they were not able to deal with this debt would send it back to *******, which would then prolong resolving this issue and putting more negative marks on my credit report While I wait for ******* to get this account back in their possession and decide which collection agency to send it back to or they were going to send it back to LLC I find all of this horrible, especially since Im the one trying to resolve this debt. Theyre not calling looking for me. I called them And was treated terribly. Now it will be more negative marks on MY CREDIT REPORT. It was bad enough to be lectured. Now theyre not even willing to work with me so itll delay it further. They dont know my ******alsituation and my finances. How dare they?Business Response

I honestly dont get why CREDIT CONTROL LLC is reporting this debt under my name because I dont owe them anything. I never signed anything with them, and when I asked for a copy of the original application, they didnt even bother to provide it. Its frustrating because this is hurting my credit for no reason, and its just not fair. How can they just put something on my report without any proof?Account No: 4824 Amount Disputed: $110Business Response

This complaint is regarding an account **********************, LLC is reporting under account #*****************, with a balance of $714.98 and an open date of 3/10/2025. I dispute the validity of this debt and have never entered into any contractual agreement with Credit Control, LLC.I sent a written request for verification, including documents showing a legal right to collect or report this account. They failed to provide any supporting documents or evidence within the required timeframe. Their lack of response is a violation of both the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).This unverified collection has severely impacted my creditworthiness. I have experienced stress, financial disruption, and lost opportunities due to false or unproven information being reported. Ive been denied credit and my reputation as a responsible borrower has been unfairly damaged. If Credit Control cannot produce proper verification within 14 days, I am demanding that this collection be immediately removed from Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion. Written confirmation of deletion must be provided to **** am also filing a complaint with the ************************************ and will consider legal action if this is not resolved promptly.Business Response

Have gotten several request since last September 2024 from six different companies stating they are debited collectors on account of cabelas club ****1487 that is. It was not our account or number. We have stated this is not or has ever been our account. ******* **** closed our account after numerous years with them due to we think a fraud /suspious complaint filed by use on the account we did have but not this number. We have asked for verification of debt with more than just a statement which is our right under the law FDCPA that states it has to include more than just a statement This can be produced easily by a scammer and information on this original correspondence didnt match to attached document sent when it returned. As well as the original creditor is not a company or one we had card with. So we have actually never gotten verification it is our debt. To which it is not our debt. We tried to get the issue with cabelas fixed but the two calls made 4/2023 and 7/22/23 only had them tell use we were good paying customers and they couldnt access account. A supervisor would return our call. As of to date we never received that call or explanation of reason for closing account. We couldnt access account any longer. Never received correspondence from ******* regarding this even after the numerous letters sent. We did after 4/10/23 filing the fraud/ suspicious activity case. The next couple weeks got several emails on new cards being mailed to look for those that never came. When we called they had no response for this either. So this is not our account or has it ever been. This harassment, distress and time bullying us into paying a debt we never owed under the above law needs to stop. Since it so many companies it seems like fraud on these companies parts as well.Business Response
