      United Healthcare is absolutely the worst insurance. It tainted my time as a first-time mother. I was slapped with ****** dollars in denied bills the same month my baby was born. I would literally be calling *** over denied claims as my newborn napped. Just this month, I can't even go to my annual exam without incurring charges, even when in LARGE PRINT on the *** portal it says that preventative care is ZERO cost. I came to my annual exam as a requirement by my employer for next year's health insurance premiums. My PCP ordered annual labs (***, CMP) and I actually asked her to do nothing that could be construed as extra for fear I would be charged. Low and behold, I am charged for just regular labs. My doctor's office says it was all billed as preventative, *** representative says those "codes" are not preventative on the plan. They are on a three-way call and nothing can be resolved. Pretty typical for UHC. Unfortunately in the ** we have no choice over our insurance if we are workers under the age of 65. It is horrible. UHC is the epitome of US's horrible healthcare system.

      Had my ear cleaned at united healthcare.person who did this cleaning had no clue what he was doing .pain and oozing green stuff came out of my ear and provider sent me to an ENT but had to wait 3mos. Could n I t get the issue resolved now seeing another ENT whosays my ear is growing bacteria She doesn't know what's going to happen but now I'm taking ear antibiotics.I we a r hearing aids cannot wear one now so my hearing is almost **** three office call bills plus ****** in prescriptions because united health care let some idiot with no clue clean my ear Why is united health care not paying all my bills and taking care of all costs. Should I be responsible for their negligence!!!! Run from united health care don't get it!!Also you will not get any response from them

      They deny claims over semantics which mean nothing to the average patient. Reasons for denial are about certain facility codes paired with a provider who is a physician or other medical billing codes I shouldn't be expected to understand. They say the provider can submit a new claim with different codes, but the provider says the claims were billed correctly. This is for in network service and simple stuff like saline and a sterile set of tools for a surgery which is covered or preop lab work. It's such a waste of time and money for everyone involved. It's silly to deny a covered service for a billing code that you don't like but is obviously fine for other insurance companies. It's totally semantics--looking for any reason possible to deny a claim. Also, one of my providers, one of the largest in my area, has said they are dropping them unless an agreement can be reached because they don't pay enough. My only option after September might be to file a continuity of care for every single doctor I have at this provider. I've never had worse insurance, and I will be pressing my company to switch as soon as we can. I'm on the Leadership Team--one of the decision makers--and I will make it happen.

      I have been trying to find a dentist for over a year that will take this insurance without success. Im always told well call you back, well email you, youll receive an email and nothing happens. I just want to use the dental plan I pay for. Your service is unacceptable. I do not want to waste any more time calling and begging to use a product I pay for. - ******* ******** Athens, AL ******** is *********. If you cant find my policy you are proving my point even more.

      ****** has been - by far - the worst insurance provider I have ever dealt with. Their chat support is okay at getting you answers, but the actual coverage is horrible and it's terribly expensive. They do not actually want to help people get the medical support they need, they simply want to collect your money. I can't even get medications that my doctor says I need covered. Absolutely terrible, will not ever recommend.

      Surest insurance sent my husband to collections somehow, yet they owe him money for claims. My husband has called several times to resolve various issues and he can never get a customer service *** to help.
