I brought my vehicle on 9/25/24 in for a warranty-covered repair, but I was informed that the repair might not be covered due to the lack of maintenance records. Additionally, i was told that pictures of the valve train are needed to confirm that the engine issues are not due to sludge build-up, and I was quoted $550 for the labor involved in this inspection. I find this situation unacceptable for the following reasons: Warranty Coverage: The warranty should cover the repair regardless of the maintenance records, as the issue is a known problem with the vehicle model. Denying coverage based on this criterion seems unreasonable and contrary to the warranty terms. Unjustified Charges: Charging $550 for labor to inspect the valve train and provide pictures is excessive and unjustified. This cost should be covered under the warranty or, at the very least, be more reasonably priced. I am hoping that they will reconsider their decision and provide the necessary repairs under the warranty without additional charges. I also urge them to review their policies to ensure that other customers do not face similar issues in the future.

My car sat at their facility for an entire month for a single window replacement and ignition cylinder repair. After numerous unreturned calls for repair status (I usually spoke to at least six people before anyone knew anything about my car even being there) I was promised I could get the car back yesterday. Before pickup I asked the service rep if the car was rid of broken glass and was assured they vacummed the car and was safe to drive. But lo and behold the car was the same state as I saw it before it got turned over to them from the impound lot. I ended up cutting myself as the seats and floor was riddled with broken glass. No effort was made to make it safe to drive and the rep lied about it just to have something to report. Won't come back to this service center again..

I bought a certified preowned 2019 Kia Niro from this dealership believing that the clean history and well maintained Carfax I was showed was comprehensive as they claimed since this dealer had performed all the service since the car was new. After purchasing it, I came to find out from a receipt left in the glovebox that the transmission had been replaced. Dismayed, I asked why that was not revealed to me in the Carfax since they did the work at LNK of IG. Not getting a clear answer besides it wasn’t intentional, I kept the car bc it worked fine until 2.5 months and 1000 miles later when the hybrid system failed and needed the $10,000 battery replaced as well as several other parts fixed. After initially saying they didn’t know the cause and offering me to keep driving it, they learned the battery could ignite from swelling so they would keep it until they could resolve the issue. I was told by the service advisor at Luther Kia of Bloomington that the car was nothing but trouble. After 2.5 months overseeing repairs he told me he’d get rid of the car if it were his. I took it to LNK of IG and they said even though it had only 1000 miles on it since purchasing it, the best they could do for me was give me a trade in value of $19,000 when I had paid $29,000 less than 7 months earlier. Other irregularities still continue and the GM Neil who was compelled by the AG’s office to offer me an extended warranty package and tires with better traction has now discontinued communication with me prior to finalizing the deal. I can only assume he is annoyed that I want to make sure the vehicle has no issues that fall outside of warranty coverage before I sign away my rights to seek help from this dealer regarding any past present or future mechanical problems. I’ve been treated not as a valued customer but like an adversary. I don’t feel trust in this car any longer but feel much less trust that this dealer has the best interest of my vehicle or me as a customer at heart.

The last week in December of 21 I ordered a new 2022 Kia Telluride from Luther Kia in Inver Grove Heights. Rich told me it would take about 5-6 months. Great! Rich emailed me May 25 and told me we had a tentative delivery date For July 9, “could be fluid” but at least we had a time. He told me He would email me the window sticker as soon as he gets it. The week of, I emailed him and asked if we were a go for the 9th, but unfortunately it got pushed back to August 8-9. I emailed frustrated because we were hoping to have it for a summer road trip beginning of August, magically the date changed to July 31 after I told him I may need to look at other options. I still hadn’t heard anything by July 30 and had not received an email about the window sticker so I went out and bought a VW. Tuesday the 2nd Rich calls me to tell me my Telluride arrived. I tried calling and no response. I emailed him telling him what I bought but was in my time period to return it. It was with another Luther dealer so I asked for guidance. In the mean time my husband went to Kia IGH to try and see it. Rich had him sit in a used one they had. Side note, it was an 22 EX Nightfall Edition with 800 miles Kia of IG was selling for $17,000 more than my new one, same model. Rich brought over Jerry the sales manager to meet my husband(we are a gay couple). Jerry didn’t acknowledge him left and then Rich told My husband Jerry sold the car to someone else, my email said I didn’t want it, which nowhere did it say that. I was literally on the phone with my husband trying to figure out how we would work it out to return the VW. Not 100% what Jerry’s problem was, gay, skin color, what?? Rich told me he didn’t agree with the decision, but did not step up and when I asked who it was he told me Jerry was the General Manager. If he is, update your website, it names Neil as a GM, who gave me a half ass apology.
