I am on my second defective mattress from HOM Furniture. A number of years ago, I purchased a mattress that ended up being defective and was replaced under the warranty. Now only a few years later, the replacement mattress is having the same issue and is misshapen and had a large lump in the middle of it. There is also a small hole in the same area on the mattress. I contacted HOM to verify it was still under warranty, which they said it was. They sent a tech out to inspect the mattress. After the tech inspected the mattress, I did not receive a call from HOM as I was supposed to, so I called and was informed that while the mattress is indeed defective, they will not replace it because the warranty was voided due to a small stain. I moved in July of 2019 and the mattress was covered during the move, but some dirt from the moving truck got on the side of the mattress. Which is NOWHERE near where the defect is. I cleaned it best I could and they re-inspected it, but once again they did not call me regarding the inspection. When I called back, the woman I spoke to informed me she would ask her supervisor how they could resolve this for me and call me back, and naturally I have not received a call back. It is abundantly clear that the dirt stain that happened a year prior to the mattress defect showing up is unrelated to the defect, especially since this is the second time this has happened. The lack of customer service from HOM is unacceptable and I am tired of wasting my time trying to resolve this with them. I just want my mattress replaced, as every person I have talked to has indicated I have a defective product. It is also worth mentioning, I was previously married and the account was under my former spouse's phone number. Not only did they tell me they could not change the number, when I indicated under no circumstances was that phone number to be used, they still called and left messages with personal information with my former spouse which is completely unprofessional.Read More

My wife and I went to Hom Furniture in Plymouth, Mn on January 25, 2018. Had great experience and found the couch and love seat we wanted. It was a leather Flexsteel set, supposedly one of the best companies out there. We had to special order the color we wanted and had to wait till February 22nd to get them delivered. We spent over $5000 on the couches. While we were purchasing them the salesman Brad he had offered us an extended warranty and told us that is the couch gets fixed a few or more times they would replace it. So we bought their fabric and leather protection warranty on both couches. We spent $275 on the warranty. In January of 2020 I noticed that my foot rest on the recliner on the couch wasn’t closing all the way on one side, leaving about a one inch gap between the foot rest and the couch. We made a service call to the warranty department. They sent a tech out and “fixed” it, but it didn’t close correctly still all the way. It was close enough for satisfaction. The tech guy said sometimes the wood warps after the get made. In March, 18 2020 we got another tech guy out to fix the same problem and also because the foot rest wasn’t closing correctly it was rubbing and left a mark in the leather almost a hole. They order a part for the foot rest. Due to COVID it didn’t get here till August. While he was here, he “fixed” the foot rest. He said the customer service would call us and let us know what was going on. June 2nd 2020 we called the warranty department, because we never heard from them. They said the part was in back order. Which I said above didn’t arrive until August. July 6th 2020 we called the warranty department because the back of the recliner wasn’t going up all the way. It was lagging back towards the wall more then the other two seats. My wife ask them about a replacement couch and they said would have to do replacement parts first prior to a whole replacement. July 14th the tech came out to look at the back of the recliner and said it was just fine in all of the whole 5 minutes he was here. He didn’t even lift the couch up or barely touch it before making this decision. August 6th 2020 we called the warranty department again to get an update on the foot rest piece. They said the part is supposed to arrive by the end of August and would make a appointment when it arrives. September 2nd 2020 the tech came out and replaced the part on the foot rest. He also again had to readjust the foot rest. He also flipped the couch over so he could readjusted and tightened up the the whole frame of the couch. November 3rd 2020 we called the warranty department to discuss the ongoing issues with the one recliner. We had also let them know that the leather on the sides of the seat, there was three rub spots on two different seats, that rub together on the seats themselves . Also there was a very large rubbed spot on the back of the chair where the back of the seat that hits the armrest on the inside. You can only see when the chair is extended back. We ask about getting a new couch, because this couch is just over two year old and has had a lot of issues. They said it was a fix to new warranty. We informed them what the sales guy said about the warranty. She said that a salesman would have never said that. So she called us a liar. Which the lady we talked too was getting snappy and rude to us. November 12th 2020 the tech came out and too pictures of the the rub spots. He said he would send the pictures to the warranty department and they would contact us. He also stated that they might have too take the couch to their shop to fix it or they may just replace the whole thing. December 7th 2020 we called them, not hearing from them again. They informed us that they ordered parts to fix the couch. She also informed us that that was on back order. So I ask her when we get the parts after the three year warranty is up on February 22nd when they receive the parts in 6 months, what we are supposed to do after something else goes wrong. I also stated that we have had five technicians out too fix this one recliner, what is the protocol to get a new couch. She stated that they only have two service calls on their records. I said that was not true they have been out five times to “fix” it. She was again calling us liars again, by saying they only had two service calls. Whole story from the customer view is that they are not very professional. They never contacted us about any of the issues we had. We had to call them every time. We got the run around on the last few calls. It seem like they are stalling until our warranty expires. How many issues do you need on a two almost three year old $2200 couch too replace it? We spent a lot of money on these couches for them to come out five times too “fix” the one recliner. Their warranty and warranty department is a joke and is a huge scam. It’s not like these problems are minor. If you are reading this don’t ever waste your money at Hom Furniture.
