This organization is tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. It is eligible to receive contributions deductible as charitable donations for federal income tax purposes.

Purpose/Mission from OrganizationAcclaim Community Outreach is a 501(c)(3) organization based in Metro Detroit, dedicated to both performing arts and community services. Since its inception in 2000, Acclaim has strived to cultivate a vibrant community by organizing and facilitating positive events and programs that foster interaction among local residents. However, like many organizations worldwide, we faced significant setbacks due to the global COVID-19 shutdown that persisted from 2020 to 2022.Despite these challenges, Acclaim remains resolute in its commitment to serving the community. We are actively working towards a brighter future, anticipating a robust resurgence of activities and initiatives in 2024. We look forward to unveiling an array of exciting programs and events that will contribute to the enrichment and engagement of our community.Acclaim Community Outreach has maintained a longstanding partnership with Gleaners Community Food Bank of Southeastern Michigan. As an established partner agency, Acclaim relies on Gleaners to supply a range of food items, which are then meticulously organized into food boxes for distribution among individuals facing food insecurity. We kindly request that individuals present proper identification during the pickup process.In recognition of the diverse needs of our community, Acclaim Community Outreach extends its services beyond traditional pickup arrangements. Specifically, we offer delivery options for individuals with special needs or elderly residents who may face challenges in accessing our food distribution centers.In addition to our collaboration with Gleaners, our organization has actively participated in the EFS program facilitated by United Way. Through this initiative, we have been fortunate to receive small mini-grants, which have played a crucial role in procuring supplementary food items. However, due to budget constraints imposed by governmental administration, the availability of such grants has been significantly curtailed or, in some cases, entirely discontinued.Despite these challenges, Acclaim Community Outreach remains committed to its mission of alleviating hunger within the community. We are grateful for the ongoing support we receive from local organizations, as well as partnering grocery stores.Their contributions enable us to sustain and expand our efforts to provide nourishment to those in need.The Anointed Faces Gospel Coffee House, established in 2004, is a prominent fixture among the array of performing arts events organized by ACOS (Anointed Community Outreach Services). Regarded as one of the most vibrant Christian nightspots in Metro Detroit, this event showcases a fusion of captivating musical genres, including gospel, inspirational music, Christian hip-hop, smooth jazz, and spoken word performances by both local and nationally recognized artists.The Anointed Faces Gospel Coffee House takes place bi-monthly, offering the community a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in an uplifting musical experience. It serves as a platform to expose attendees to a diverse range of spiritually enriching performances.As an annual event, the Anointed Faces Gospel Coffee House commences in May and concludes in October. Our primary objective is to create a welcoming and family-friendly atmosphere that brings people together. In addition to the exceptional musical performances, we take pride in serving delectable food and refreshments, ensuring an all-encompassing and enjoyable experience for our cherished attendees.Acclaim Community Outreach is committed to leading the way in the production and filming of impactful movies and short film projects that authentically portray real-life situations. The ongoing pandemic has ignited a surge of creativity among individuals, and now is a crucial time to capture and showcase inspiring moments that encourage and uplift others.With a deep understanding of the power of storytelling through visual media, Acclaim Community Outreach seeks to create films that resonate with audiences on a profound level. Our goal is to deliver narratives that reflect the complexities of human experiences, while also instilling hope and motivation in viewers.By harnessing the creative energy that has emerged during these challenging times, we aim to produce thought-provoking movies and short films that serve as a catalyst for personal growth, empathy, and positive change.
