I purchased a $30 e-gift card to Cheesecake Factory in 2013. It was my first e-gift card, I believe and I didn't think to print it out immediately. I lost track of it and tried to find it in 2016 and several times over the years, but I didn't have the information on the month and year it was purchased. Also Scrip had become Raiseright and my email had changed. I recently found the information on the month and year it was purchased and did a live chat with Raise Right and indeed they could see that I had purchased it. After assuring me that e-cards are ALWAYS visible, (and I couldn't see it in the wallet or archive), they came back with, " when scrip wallet was changed to raiseright, all access to ecards was no longer available" I asked to have a copy of that notification that was sent out to members prior to the change from scrip to raise right. It was not provided. They offered to send me the e-card number, but not the pin, which makes it useless

I purchased a gift card for Barnes & Noble College Bookstore in the amount of $200.00. When I attempted to use the card, the card was declined. The business confirmed that Barnes & Noble and Barnes & Noble College Bookstore are two different entities. Barnes & Noble customer service confirmed the card could not be used at any college bookstore. I emailed RaiseRight to alert them to their website inaccuracy regarding the use of a RaiseRight B & N ecard. I disputed the charge with my bank; and the bank has returned my $200. RaiseRight is now attempted to charge my student organization for the $200. RaiseRight has not acknowledged that Barnes & Noble confirmed its e-card has restrictions as to which entity can accept the gift card.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 22863185, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. Chau Nguyen confirmed via email and phone call that the $200.29 charge to the student organization will be refunded:

    (Credit Confirmation : *********
This order gives -$200.29 back to the Organization.)

Chau was very responsive; and I appreciate her efforts to address the situation.

    Sincerely,

Someone broke into my bank account and drained my money with the help of this company. They informed me that they are AWARE this person only uses fraudulent credit cards, and even after me calling them and telling them it was fraudulent theyre still putting the transaction through to this person. They are aware this person uses stolen information and does not report it.

If your banking information or Credit card information was used on our site without your knowledge we recommend you contact your bank or Credit Card provider immediately to stop the payments and prevent further misuse of your information on other websites. Unfortunately internet bad guys are out there and rarely use their real person information making it increasingly hard to track down the real person behind the account. We always work to shut down bad accounts when we find them but are unable to see banking and Credit Card information so we have to rely on the account holders to take action with their bank or Credit Card company.

The date of transactions was January 18th, 2025. This company took $478.95 from my account. I have never purchased anything from this company. I am looking for a complete refund. I don't know how they got my account information. There was a total of 4 transactions made on January 18, 2025.

If your banking or Credit Card information was used on our website to make unauthorized purchases it likely means that your banking or Credit Card information has been compromised and someone else is using it to make fraudulent purchases.  What we recommend is that you contact your bank or ******************* right away to report the unauthorized charges. This should allow them to reverse the payments as well as issue you are new credit card or protect you banking information from further misuse across other online platforms.

My name is *** **** ************************** I was sent an $100 REI gift certificate from ***** ****** (fundraising for northridge united methodist church).I went to use the certificate at REI and was informed there was only 8.95 left on the gift card.I called raiseright and they informed me that REI had issued them multiple duplicate gift cards, meaning other people got the same gift certificate as me. Raiseright admits there is an issue, but seem incapable of correcting it.Not to mention they were aware of this problem and are not informing customers about it, they are hoping people just dont go thru the trouble of trying to contact support.

The new card has been issued to the customer to replace the original code he received.

    Customer Answer

    Date: 01/14/2025

I have received the new card.... However,  there is still the fact that i had to reach out to the company,  was given the run around,  and then had to file a complaint with the BBB.  This also does not address the fact that they are not contacting all the other customers that they sold phony giftcards to,  and instead are waiting to see if the customer contacts them.  I believe operating in such a shady fashion should affect their rating on your site.

The company provided a subset of gift cards, one of which was provided with a 0 dollar amount. Card in question was for ********** I contacted the company, and I explained that one of the cards had issues, would they help me. At first, the tone was positive, but as the interaction continued, it became more and more rude. I caught them in a lie about checking the balance on the card, because the person couldn't keep the story straight. I told them I would be contacting the sheriff's office here to report fraud(taking money for services promised but not delivered), and that I would be making this and other posts about my interactions. The tone was further reduced and I was basically told it was my problem.

Un authorized money taken from my account..

    Business Response

    Date: 01/09/2024

In regards to **************** claim. Orders were placed on his account due to him being a victim of a phishing scam in which he gave out the secure two factor authentication code to someone who was trying to access his account. The two factor authentication code serves as a security measure to prevent unauthorize access to the customer account, and when the code is given out full access will be granted to the person who has the code. We had previously notified **************** that someone was trying to gain access to his account and that he needed to change his password because the only thing stopping them from accessing the account was the two factor code.  When we noticed orders being placed on the account we immediately contacted **************** who openly admitted to being scammed into giving out the code and in turn full access to his account.

Since then **************** has stopped payment on all charges through his bank on the orders in question and those have been returned to **. At this time **************** is not out any money for the orders.
