I have struggled with accepting the predicament I have been put into. I purchased a 172 point **** Certified inspected used vehicle from this company in January. A day after I purchased the vehicle the vehicle broke. The manager was gracious enough to stand behind this "certified" vehicle sale and attempted to repair the vehicles heating control system, as it was in the middle of an ice storm. I received the vehicle back with the heating system working but not working properly. A couple days went by and the entire vehicle computer system went haywire. After dozens of back and fourth with Lakeview, they told me to bring the vehicle in and they would see what was wrong. I came in several days later. By this time they somehow forgot that they were repairing the issues they created during my last repair days earlier. They required me to pay out odf pocket $150. I left my vehicle with them for several hours. Then a service manager came to me and said I had to pay an additional $400 for diagnosing my vehicle that they failed to repair. I was livid. I left. I have since taken it to 2 mechanics and contacted ****. Everyone is telling me that Lakeview service needs to repair the issues they caused. I have gotten zero further help from this company. Before repairs, my heat did not work. After repairs...What is not working due to Lakeview's attempted repair:ABS Parking Assist Cruise Control Heat A/C Heated Mirrors Transmission Steering Assist Skid Control All monitoring safety systems This vehicle is uninsurable and unsafe. I bought a 172 point inspected vehicle. I got a broken vehicle that I cannot drive. I am a single father with a 6 year old daughter. I bought the safest vehicle I could find for her. I need help.I have dozens of pictures and documents to offer. I do not have them on this PC. I assume I can add these later. Please direct me how to do so.Business Response

****** was not sold a certified vehicle. He was offered extended warranties which he declined. He bought an as is vehicle. He came into the service department once after the vehicle was purchased and the repair was made at our expense. He came again approx 30 days later Feb 10 for a diagnosis and refused doing the repair and we have not heard from him since until he put a bad review online. We are happy to discuss how we can help him but his facts are no accurate.Customer Answer

Better Business Bureau:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that they are mistaken. According to the salesman, due to my low credit score, I could not get a vehicle loan without it being a "certified vehicle." I had brought $5,000 to buy a $10,000 vehicle. They said a cheaper vehicle was not valuable enough for a loan company lend on. They said the loan company would only loan to me a "Certified Vehicle." I put a $6,000 deposit down on a vehicle that was sold as "172 certified inspected." I have absolute 100% proof of this as the seller messaged me this. I saved all of the text messages. I just want my nearly $20,000 vehicle in the condition it was sold to me in.
Sincerely,

I am rejecting this response because: I am sorry Lakeview **** does not agree with the fact that the salesman 100% did inform me that the only way a lender would lend to me was if I had a certified preowned vehicle, due to the risk factors with my credit. Again, I have all of the texts messages between myself and the salesman, ******. I am willing to bring the vehicle in for repairs. The last time I was in I was charged $150 for diagnostics. My bank contacted Lakeview and, inevitably, returned my funds as Lakeview was found in the wrong for charging fees without any diagnostics or services completed. I am NOT willing to offer any further funds. I've already paid thousands into a lawyer, 2 mechanics, $700 in *****, and hours in my personal time. I just want what I deserve. A vehicle that is insurable, drivable, and safe.
Sincerely,

No. I have only been instructed by counsel to contact BBB as it would be the next best step to resolving this issue. My only goal is to find a resolution to prior stated issues so I can move on with life.Business Response

****** You drove the car for four days before you bought it . You were offered extended warranties that you declined we have the signed copies. Both Sales managers discussed your options with you . Both **** and ***** .
If you have text messages that say the vehicle is certified I certainly would like to see them. Because you were told when you bought the vehicle it was not. Until you pay the diagnosis fee that you reneged on paying we will be unable to help resolve this issue. Finally since you have implied you have hired an attorney we will no longer be able to communicate. Have your attorney call me and I will give him my attorneys number.
My service department will not be able to help you going forward until our attorneys have an opportunity to speak. I am sure you are frustrated about your vehicle but we are certainly frustrated by this type of discussion. We have not seen nor heard from you other than bad reviews and this BBB complaint since Feb 10 .. Have your attorney call ************ ask for ***** Pavone

I am rejecting this response because: I consulted with an attorney because I am not knowledgeable in this area. Why do you continue to insinuate that I am a liar? The fact that I turned down the service plan only backs up my reasoning for not finding it necessary. Do people just make up some random inspection? How would I know 172 point inspection?
Sincerely,
****** *******Initial Complaint

My father and I bought a used 2019 **** expedition vehicle from Lakeview **** dealership with an extended warranty. It was less than a month and the starter went out, sensor malfunction, fuel injector and pump was faulty. They have failed to give a vehicle (in the written contract and within the Warranty) to compensate for being without a vehicle. We were originally told there was nothing wrong with the car. Less than a month later, several issues are being present. The lemon law states that new or leased vehicles being sold intentionally knowing they are faulty is against the law.Business Response

I purchased a new ** vehicle from Lakeview **** on March 13, 2025. I was not provided a time-of-sale report for this vehicle which is used to file the ** vehicle with the *** for any available tax credits. I have reached out to ***** ****** (Assistant Sales Manager) and **** ****** (Sales Manager) multiple times over the last four days via email and text. They have yet to provide me this report which should have been provided at the time I purchased the vehicle. I just need this report for my tax records and to be able to claim any tax credits next year.Business Response

The consumer was told at the time of purchase the vehicle did not qualify for those incentives. We provided everything that was applicable. The consumer tried to return the vehicle for a variety of reasons and we worked out a deal that to trade the vehicle and the consumer did not agree to the terms for the trade and understood the impact of trading a titled and now used vehicle . I consider this issue closedInitial Complaint

I received a Flyer in the mail with a number to scratch and match if matched I won 2500 dollars. I matched and have a confirmation number so I went to Lakeview **** to claim the money but because I didnt make a purchase of an automobile they would not honor it. The flyer says no purchase necessary and . Now that the offer is over they remind me of that and will not return my call. Totally a scamBusiness Response

The customer Pamela Register submitted a claim regarding a sale that we had in Oct of 2023. The sale supplied a mailer that Pamela thought was deceptive but technically it was not .
We no longer utilize this type of mailer that was reviewed prior to mailing . As a matter of fact every person who brought a mailer in won something.
I am happy to discuss further if necessary but consider this closed.

The Consumer is not being truthful. I won and they refused to give me my winnings unless I purchased a vehicle. Which it states on flyer NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO WIN. I have better things to do with my time than place false accusations. I consider this matter open , this is false advertisement and dishonesty. This is not the only time Lakeview Ford has deceived me.Initial Complaint

01/17/2023 date of transaction We dropped our vehicle off on October 17 2022 for repairs from an accident with a deer. We were told we would have an estimate done on October 25. We did not get and estimate until almost 4 weeks later. ************************* never called during this time to let us know what was happening. We had to call our insurance agency and than the repair shop to find out why the estimate had not happened. When we dropped our vehicle off we told them that the seat belts and airbags did not work and needed repair. In December when we still had not heard anything about our vehicle and it was not repaired yet, we called. They told us they had just ordered the seat belts and airbags. Each week we called because no one at the repair shop called us to let us know why the repairs were taking so long. It was not until January that they had all the parts for repairs and we finally received our vehicle on January 17th. Three months without our main vehicle and the only time we received a phone call was January 16th. I assumed we would get a discount on the deductible because of the extraordinary amount of time they took to repair our vehicle. They also did not order parts until almost 2 months after receiving it even though we told them multiple times those parts were damaged. I was told they did not control the deductible and could not help me with a discount. They told me I could call my insurance agency. That is not how deductible work though and they do control how much we pay in the end. My insurance agency did their job Lakeview **** did not. When we picked up our vehicle it had no gas and the battery was dead and we had to buy a new one. We did not drop it off on empty either. I asked for someone to call me from Lakeview **** to discuss this matter and have not received a phone call.Business Response

To whom it may concern.
We had a very difficult time during that period as the Manager ******************* had surgery and was off for a long period of time. That being said I will look into this
and respond back to the customer no later than Friday. Thank you for bringing this to my attention
