    The business is a monopoly controlling auto travel to and from **************, **. They have the capacity and staff to transport hundreds of customers per hour, which they regularly choose not to staff for. During regular business (non peak and peak times alike) the company chooses to staff their operation minimally, which results in commutes over an hour to travel 500meters. This journey typically take 5-10 minutes with loading and unloading time included. I have discussed several complaints with the management (Mr. ******* which are dismissed, not documented and disregarded completely. They cite "regular and drastic fluctuations in customer volume" as the reason for dismissing the complaints.

    Champion's Auto Ferry strives to match its crew and vessel scheduling with predicted traffic volumes. Unfortunately, this is not an exact science as you are trying to predict human behavior. Outside of peak travel days/times (such as the 4th of July) it is extremely rare for a customer to wait long periods of time for transportation. 

    The customer complaint is centered around a long wait time for their commute. If the customer can provide a specific day/time, we can review our security footage to determine if anything out of the ordinary occurred in order to allow the company to better refine our scheduling. The complainant also indicated that they have spoken with Mr. ****** several times regarding this issue. To the best of my knowledge, he has never spoken to myself regarding this issue.

    Regardless, Champion's Auto Ferry does not issue credit or refunds to customers based on their wait times. Therefore the customer's request for $200 is denied.

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and expected no action. The date/time in question was 12/23/2024, at ~1200, as indicated in the initial report. If they could follow up with reviewing camera footage, that would be greatly appreciated.
