  I brought my car to Autobahn Performance expecting a straightforward job replace a leaking Y-pipe , install a hood latch and cable (NEW OEM which I supplied) and replace a transmission pan seal. I had already replaced the exhaust manifold myself due to a clog, and at the time I wasnt yet aware that the catalytic converter further down was also clogged. I was never given a written or verbal estimate before any work was performed, No effort was made to obtain approval of pricing beforehand, something Ive ALWAYS experienced at other shops whether through a digital system or a simple phone call. Instead, I was handed a bill for over $1,200, including nearly $300 just for the Y-pipe gasket replacement, a part that now needs to be removed and redone to actually fix the real issue, a clogged catalytic converter, which they only mentioned after the work was completed. In addition, they didnt mention anything about a first-time customer discount until after I questioned the price, and even then it seemed more like a way to deflect the overcharging than an actual policy. To make things worse, they told me they had to bend my radiator support in order to install the hood latch, Upon inspection the job was done poorly and theres now a bunch of improvised washers stacked behind the bolts, which looks like a rushed or careless workaround rather than a proper fix. (Which I was charged $318 for). There was no disclosure beforehand that they would be modifying structural parts of the car to complete the job. After all this, the car was returned to me in worse condition than before. It was undrivable and I had to get it towed home. At no point was I told, We suspect the catalytic converter is clogged and should be checked before we do any repairs. Had they communicated that, I wouldve held off but instead, I paid for repairs that did not address the real issue and created new problems, which I now have to pay another shop to fix.

  Were sorry that were dissatisfied with the work performed at autobahn. As far as we knew you were happy with the repairs and understood the condition of your car ,you offered $ ****** cash to settle your bill ,that we could not accept,you paid and left,as far as we knew there were no problems. After finding that you left non factual reviews on several platforms we made repeated attempts to contact you to see if any issues or complaints could be further explained or resolved, we were unable to contact you and you did not return any of our calls. As Im sure you know ,your car had been involved in a front end collision and without replacing the damaged radiator support the hood latch/ cable could not be properly installed ,you chose to refuse that repair and had us do the best we could to install it and make it funcional ,this required extra time and effort that you were not charged for. you car came in with the exhaust not connected ,we installed the supplied parts and noticed the car would no longer accelerate, we determended the catalytic was restricted at no cost to you , after telling you that we could not remove or hollow out your cat converter,you chose to have the car towed out rather than making a proper repair. we also performed a transmission servrce to repair a pan gasket leak .unfortunely your car has been neglected and improper repairs were made in the past ,this fact is evidenced by the fact the a wheel fell of the car while the tech was driving it into the shop to start the repairs do the lug nuts not being tightened during a repair done elsewhere. your response to that was oh,that must have been the noise/ vibration ive been hearing,you were kept aprised of all repairs and authroized all work . We have hundreds of 5 star reviews across multiple platforms from happy customers that allow us to repair their cars correctly. we would still like to work with you to resolve any issues but would need to contact you to discuss options
