    They took my money and said I would be debt free in 3 years. I still owe most of my creditors. They got their money first and didn't help me. They are a scam. I'm working one my creditors on my own now.

    If I could give them ZERO stars, I would. They took my money and did not talk at all with my creditors. I was eventually taken to court and sued by one of them. I had to work it out with the lawyers representing the creditors and paid off a negotiated amount. I never got back any support, legally speaking, from Newport Legal Group, but they continued wanting their monthly payment. I terminated my agreement and as it turns out, they never once contacted any of my creditors or applied any payment I gave them to my debts. NEWPORT LEGAL GROUP IS AS CROOKED AS THEY COME! STAY AWAY FROM THEM!

    ZERO STARS!!!!!!!! SCAM!!! THEY ARE IN LEGAL TROUBLE AND WILL NO LONGER SPEAK TO THEIR CUSTOMERS REGARDING ANYTHING ABOUT THEIR ACCOUNT. THEY WILL TELL YOU TO *****, THEN THE ***** TELLS YOU TO CALL, THEN YOU WAIT ON HOLD FOR HOURS TO BE HUNG UP ON! ALL CUSTOMERS ARE LEFT IN THE DARK WITH NO ANSWERS. SHAME ON THIS COMPANY!!

    This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. I've been working with this company now for 4 years and now I've been getting my wages garnished due to Newport Legal work not doing what they are supposed to do. I have called numerous times and no one will call me back(lawyer) and when I talk to customer service they do not help they state I need to speak to my lawyer and of course she wont return my calls. I advise to stay away from this company. They are horrible.

    Completely inept. I have asked on at least 3 different occasions over a stretch of 4 months to push through the final settlement payment so that I can be done with this program. The funds are sitting there ready to be used to fulfill this settlement, and yet nothing is being done about it. When you attempt to call them with questions, you sit on hold for 3 hours before talking to someone, and then your matter is still not resolved. Avoid these guys like the plague if you're looking for a debt settlement solution.

    Complete scam!!! They keep your money and do not pay off your debt! A class action lawsuit needs to be filed against them!!!

    They seemed to start out ok and they settled 2 out of 4 debts for us. The third one we settled through court with minimal help from Newport. Now we have one left, however they want us to resign a contract changing their fee structure. Our original debt amount for the 4 was around $20000, we have now paid for settlements and fees around $18500. They are going to end up costing us more money than we owed at the start. I'm trying to contact them to end the contract, receive our balance of funds, and try to settle the final debt ourselves, but have called multiple times, waiting on hold over an hour each time with no response. Looks like we made another bad decision with this company.

    I enrolled in Newport Legal 3 years ago to get my debt paid off. Each month I paid on time. Each month they would send me emails asking for more to pay off my debt faster. Back in September 2023 I called Newport Legal and I requested a pay off figure, which I paid that day. I was told my creditors would be paid off in 30 days. At the beginning of Dec 2023 I received a billing statement. I sent Newport Legal an email questioning the status because I was under the assumption I had paid off my creditors. From that email I sent them, they went ahead and cancelled my account, notified my creditors and sent me the monies I paid them for the pay off figure back. I have tried desperately to get this situation fixed and my account reactivated so my creditors can be paid off. Newport Legal says it is their fault for cancelling my account, but yet it is now April 2024 and still nothing has happened to fix their mistake. They keep telling me it is in their lawyers hands on whether they will reactivate my account or not and that they will contact me when a decision has been made or not. I am sick over this. I signed the contract that was notarized upon entering this program 3 years ago. I have held up my end of the deal. Newport Legal cancelled my account without my consent. I have made numerous calls to Newport Legal, been on hold for up to 8 hours some days to get a hold of someone. I am told the same thing over and over, that they are working on it, but that it might not be fixed, even though it is their fault this happened. Since Newport Legal cancelled my account, contacted my 3 creditors that would have been paid off in September 2023, when I called for the pay off figure. It has been nothing but a nightmare trying to get Newport Legal to fix the mistake that they had done. I am sick over this, lost sleep, and all I want is for Newport Legal to fix their mistake, contact my creditors apologizing to them and get my creditors paid off. Zero stars.

    I pay high fees for attorney services and after 2 weeks, still no attorney so will have to go to court on my own. What a rip off!
