My husband and myself purchased a truck at ******** *** in New Roads. The Financial Institution that they connected us with was EFCU Financial located on Air Line Hwy. Due to our regret my husband's truck was taken from him at gun point as he was out of town. A police report was filed. ***** **** insurance covered 99% of the coverage. They left the other 1% for my GAP insurance (**** ******) to cover the rest. The remaining balance on the truck was only $800 plus dollars left. GAP was suppose to cover the remaining balance. **** ****** (GAP Insurance) only paid about 175.00 dollars, canceled my policy without my permission and forwarded the remaining balance back to ******. I spoke to ****** *** in New Roads and they stated that since August that they had paid EFCU Financial over $500. I saw the check that was processed by ******. Furthermore, EFCU kept sending me statements saying I had late payments. I have a printout from their establishment that states my next payment of the remaining balance was not due until the year 2027. I kept asking them, how can I have a late payment when your establishment sent me the information that stated no payment due until 2027. They continued to make the excuse that the computer was charging me the late fee but never changed the information. Then one week later I see where ****** had made the payment in August 2023 and then they EFCU showed that the over 500 dollar payment was taken off . Now raising my balance back up once again. This statement should have been paid off with both GAP (**** ******) and ******'s payments together to EFCU. Especially since the truck was stolen in May and the payment from ****** was sent in August that they (EFCU) never credited into my system. I have been going around and around with these people. I never had a late payment to their establishment before the truck was stolen. They keep threatening to report it to the credit bureau. I have awesome credit! Please, HELP!

Since 8/2021 (or earlier), my lienholder, EFCU Financial, has put force-placed insurance on my car even I have provided qualified insurance proof after they asked. The EFCU emailed me on 7/26/2021, asking me to provide a copy of the proof of insurance. I replied with their requested proof on the same day to their email addresses according to their instructions. Still, they put force-placed insurance on my car since 8/2021 even though they received my insurance proof. I actively emailed them, but no reply and no any notifications. I never know they put force-placed insurance so that I am still buying auto insurance on my own, and in fact, I have paid duplicated bills. Until I paid off my loan on 6/17/2022, I was told I had force-placed insurance such that my loan increased by around $3300, and the agent said they could refund the force-placed insurance, the agent contacted the Records Department, then the agent told me the Records Department would call me back in the afternoon of 6/17/2022 or the following Tuesday, but no one calls me and also no one reply to my email, so I called them again, then they told me because the lienholder was not listed on the insurance so I can not get the full refund. But they never told/notified me regarding this point after I provided insurance proof. This is not my fault as I have provided the insurance proof with in-time delivery, I also actively contacted them. If they do not reply, that means my insurance proof is good, and they do not have questions, but if they have questions regarding my insurance proof, they are responsible for notifying me, or even I tried to contact them, they still do not reply, I have no way to know what happens as they do not answer or they intend not to let you know! This would be a fraud and their fault! I have all email conversations and documents to provide. This is so ridiculous and absolutely unacceptable. They are not respecting their customer with the worst communication.

Consumer Response /* (450, 5, 2022/07/27) */ Thank you very much for your help! I have received a call from EFCU on July 22, 2022 and they have resolved this issue. They have issued the full refund of force-placed auto insurance. I have successfully received this amount in my EFCU savings account (and finished the transfer today). I just wanted to let you know this progress and wanted to express my deep appreciation for your caring and your support.
