      In regards to Valvoline in Wilson NC on Raleigh Rd Parkway. I am truly appalled, this has been by far the worst customer experience/service I have ever had the displeasure of being involved in. It is ironic that they advertise car care because expecting your car to leave in the same condition as it arrived is too much of an ask for this place. Would give a zero if possible. My husband is an engineer by trade and he normally does all my own oil changes and took my car there to get a standard oil change since I was in a time crunch. Pretty simple right, I thought so too. They for some reason(incompetence?) threw away the drain plug that was 100 percent functional and had no issues with previously every time we have changed the oil for the entire history we have owned the car. They DID NOT TELL ME that they changed this plug. Was not communicated verbally or in the comments on the receipt. The threaded plug they replaced it with was the incorrect thread size and ended up damaging the threads in the oil pan once torqued causing a leak path to form. After a week of the car sitting at there shop no claim had been filed or started. I had to call and make a claim. Upper management did nothing. The customer service department did nothing. I still haven’t yet to receive a call from them. Every time there has been some communication it was initiated by me. I was told they would fix the threads in the pan. When I got there they put a pan saver rubber plug on the car as a “fix” for the damage THEY introduced to my car. So not only did they damage my car, they didn’t provide a robust solution. As the rubber puck on the pan saver will degrade and leak again. And to top it off, we can’t remove it without taking the oil pan off since there are now pan saver components in the oil pan that will fall off and be unsecured. Causing more work for me rather than if they hadn’t touched it at all. Stay far away from this place.

      DO NOT USE VALVOLINE. We took our Subaru to Valvoline for an oil change. THEY DRAINED THE TRANSMIISION FLUID instead. Immediately, there were problems driving out of the bay. We had to have the car towed to a Subaru dealership. Subaru said the transmission was drained and ruined. It is an $8500 repair that Valvoline is offering $3700 or take it to their vendor for repair. The claims department is nothing but a run around, no call backs etc. We are now talking to an attorney to have this settled. The Subaru dealer said they see this 2-3 times a month. Save yourself the headaches and use a dealer for your routine service. ZERO STARS

      I had an unfortunate experience at Valvoline located at 1215 MacArthur Rd Whitehall, PA 18052. On 2/24/2024, at approximately 10:30am. My wife & I pulled into one of the three garage bay spots behind a car and a mechanic came out & told us to move our car to the third garage bay. After about 20 mins of waiting the car inside our bay vacated, but one of the mechanics came out saying we needed to let the car next to us take our spot because she was waiting longer. I told the mechanic that the mechanic in the 1st bay told us to go to this spot. He apologized & said "Let me find out what's going on?". As we had our window down, we heard him explain this to another mechanic, who at the time didn't realize was the manager, the manager looks at him and screams "I DON'T CARE WHAT HAPPENED, SHE WAS HERE LONGER SHE NEEDS TO COME IN NEXT!" So as the mechanic came out to relay the message, I told him we understood & started backing out to move into the middle spot as that driver maneuvered her car to get inside the bay we were waiting at. The lanes to the bay are not that long & directly behind us was MacArthur Rd which is a highly congested road with cars zipping 40-50MPH. The woman gets in, so we wait longer for our turn in the 2nd bay. The car to left of us arrived after us, this was the lane we were in when we first arrived. So now that car exited the first bay and the mechanic working that bay started signaling that car that arrived after us inside. I yelled out to that mechanic "NOW WHY IS THAT CAR GOING IN WHEN I WAS HERE BEFORE THEM?". The mechanic came out explaining he didn't know & all of a sudden, the manager yelled "SINCE YOU'RE YELLING AT MY EMPLOYEES YOU CAN GO SOMEWHERE ELSE FOR YOUR SERVICE, BYE!" When I went to explain the manager said, "REVERSE OUT & GO SOMEWHERE ELSE SIR!” We were turned away. We have been frequent customers to Valvoline for their speedy speedy service but feel the treatment we went through was enough to rethink future choices.

      Valvoline deliberately makes it difficult to file a claim and once they have a claim they can deny your claim by giving false information to close their claim which then they consider their final decision and will no longer assist you nor will district managers, return, phone calls, or acknowledge the problem. Valvoline instant oil change allows their locations to take advantage of customers and expects to get away with any damages they cause because they are corporation and people won’t fight back. Not only did their negligence cause damage to my vehicle that will cost close to $10,000 to repair the way they have handled this situation has caused severe stress & heath problems.

      Horrible service had me wait in the line for over 30mins and let other customers ahead of me .I came with no engine lights or problems with my car to get a normal oil change service to leave wit my car having problems smoking and making my engine over heat. Also I relayed the message to the manager who was completely rude and inconsiderate instead he argued with me about the problem for a hour instead of trying to find a solution even when I had proof from employees and video footage from there shop that the job was not done fully correct. The managers name is Christian D***** and I strongly recommend work from other shops

      This place is a joke, I highly recommend everyone stay far away!! Got my oil changed, left bay and got .3 miles away only for my vehicle to stall. A technician came over and said it was my battery, funny because 10 min before my battery was reading healthy, they offered zero help. Vehicle was towed to mechanic, after diagnosis they informed me Valvoline tech broke my mass air flow sensor while removing filter. I submitted a claim, got a phone call back that they reviewed the cameras and didn’t notice him breaking the mass airflow sensor. Apparently Valvoline has cameras that will go inside your vehicle from the bay to see these kind of things, right you guys are a joke and need to be shut down forever.!! Stay FAR AWAY FROM THIS JOKE OF A BUSINESS. $352.65 later due to there lack of training and accountability of the damage they caused. You’ve lost a customer with your lack of accountability and I hope Valvoline closes its doors!!

      This customer has filed a claim investigation with Valvoline that has been denied. According to previous service record from 11/6/23 invoice - AIR FILTER HOUSING BOLT MISSING and service record from 9/16/23 - air filter clip missing on arrival. These notations indicate this is the source of the problem with the vehicle.

      Why are they allowed to sell and install wrong oil for my car. I had 3 choices of oil, i chose the cheapest $51. Not knowing it was coventional not synthetic. 2 weeks later I read an article about oil changes. Got the recite and it read conventional oil. Went back and question why they would list that kind of oil that's not good for my car. Manager said I chose it so that's what I got. Will change oil for full fee. Went to take 5 oil ,they told me they don't sell conventional oil.

      Valvoline sells conventional, full synthetic, synthetic blend, and European oils for vehicles. While we recommend oil based on the manufacturer's guidelines, we will defer to the guest's choice. According to our sources, any oil can be used in the 2017 Ford Explorer. Take 5 sells conventional oil under the name "economy oil".

      I paid for a complete oil change within 20 mins of leaving the hwy 58 chattanooga location my car began to smoke under the hood...I called the location and spoke with an employee to tell him my problem he gave me all kinds of reason as to why my car was smoking and then hung up on me. The next day less than 24 hours my car was blowing out white smoke and no oil on the dip stick..6-8 qt leaked out ..I called the manager and never received a call back...took my car to another valvoline location that help me they cleaned my car to get rid of all the oil that leaked all over and they told me they didn't see any problems with my car and that the hwy 58 location did a poor unacceptable job...I was told "Li" the store Manager would call but I never heard from them. I was told an investigation was going to be done but the flim footage the day (by assistant manager Elijah who hung up on me also) came in for service Was LOST! These guys were supposed to be trained professionals ...very very disappointing

      I went in for an oil change and break light. It took the assistant manager and two other employees to change the light bulb. I asked them was it working before I left and they said yes. Two days later I got pulled over for no break light. I took the vehicle to Firestone thinking it was something wrong with the whole back light itself. I get to Firestone and they told me that Valvoline put the wrong light in. I called Valvolines customer service line to let them know and they submitted a claim. They advised me that whatever I spent at Firestone that they will reimburse me for . I spent 70$ for the correct light bulb and labor. 3 days later I get a call from the manager from Valvoline and he told me I shouldn’t have took it to Firestone and that he will not be paying me for somebody else to fix something he could have done. Not sure why he thought I would bring the car back to his location if it took 3 guys and 20 minutes to put a light bulb back in. I was refunded the total amount for the light bulb through Valvoline but they laughed about the situation as if I’m not a paying customer with a concern. For me to have spoken to the district manager and a customer service representative I was shown little to zero respect for my concerns and being a valued customer. They refused to give me names or give me a corporate number so I can express the horrible customer service experience.

      10-13-23 had oil change. 10-30-23 6:01 pm went in because of oil leaking. Owner of franchisee says, "Yeah, so we might have stripped your oil cap, so what. Go get it fixed." Then, he told me to leave his shop and never return.I filed a claim with ********* **************** that evening at 6:44 pm. Corporate said Area Manager would investigate and return a call to me within 48-hours.On 11-02-23 at 9:50 am called Corporate. No one called me.On 11-02-23 at 11:05 am called Corporate. They say case is closed because Area Manager called the franchisee and he said everything was fine and no stripped cap and that he had to call the police to have me escorted off the premises.Complete fabrication. I called the police just to make sure they didn't call when I left. No call to that address from 6:01 pm-6:30 pm. the times I was there.FRANCHISEE OWNER is dishonest ...BEWARE OF THIS LOCATION ...Corporate didn't follow their practices either. MIDAS in town, says they can change the cap for me ...that was all Valvoline had to do. Never Ever Visit A Place That Is This Bad With Customers.
