They installed a new HVAC. Broke down after 2 hours. They fixed it but that took 4 hours..2 weeks later after some warm weather (its Nov in ks) and they condenser fan failed. On top of that they did a repair to my water tank ($1200). It still leaks. Send a master plumber out... it still leaks. After this the customer care guy from hvac acknowledges its still leaking. What a waste of time. 9 visits to install a hvac that may or may not fail. A $1200 repair to a leak that still leaks. Dont use them!

Wanted to charge $10,000 to upgrade from 100amp to 200amp and I had one, new in a box!
They said power would be out for 2-3 days & would have to break through the new sidewalk. All **  Another company did it for $2200.
Power was out for 6 hours.

I contacted Anthony's for a replacement of 2 outdoor water facets. I set up 2 contracts with them on their 19.98 per month warranty to cover regular ac/heating services for my house and my rental house. When they came out they quoted $1,800.00 for the job and I knew that was too much. After doing a lot of discounts, they arrived at $1,150.00 for the job. I told them no and called customer service to cancel both of the contracts. Here it is 14 days later and I have not gotten the refund for the $19,98 on either contract. I had to wait for a day for billing to call and tell me the refund was not approved. This is a company that will tell you they provide customer service while trying to charge 3 times the cost.
I contacted a different plumber and asked how much he charges for the replacement of 2 out door faucets and he told me the going rate is $325.00 per faucet so in turn would be $650.00 dollars. He came out and did in fact only charge $650.00.
Now understand, Anthony's discounted the price from $1,850.00 to $1,100.00. I got the job done by another plumber for $650.00.

    PRICE COUGING
This company charges WAY too much for their work.
Charged me $717.00 to change out an AC Capacitor that costs $89 online. Completed the work in less than 1hr.
    1hr of Labor @ $50/hr + $90 for parts = $140
That's $577 in profit on one small residential repair.
    804% Profit Margin!!
Don't bother waiting for their customer service rep (*****) to call you back 3 days later. You'll get better feedback and customer service talking to your wall at home.

Our Customer Care team attempted to work with Mr. *******.  Mr. ******* was offered two options at the
time of diagnosis for his system service issue.
Rather than allow the technician to leave and go get the less expensive
option, Mr. ******* requested the higher option and approved the pricing before
we began the work.  In discussions with the
office there was extensive profanity used throughout.  It is unfortunate that we could not have more
productive discussions but we stand by our presentation of options and
completion of the work Mr. ******* asked us to perform at the flat rate price
    provided and approved in advance.

Absolutely terrible experience with Anthony Heating and Plumbing. This company is the textbook definition of unprofessional and unreliable. I contacted them for a routine repair, and what followed was a circus of missed appointments, zero communication, and no finished work that is necessary for our tenants to take care of basic needs for their life.
We've been getting stalled one time after another and my wife is taking off time from work and driving 30 miles one way just to get to be told they won't be able to show up until the end of the day!!! Furthermore, and being told this information like it's operating procedure to be let down for this kind of work and expect them to not show up.

Put a 1 start because I couldn't put a no star. They showed up late (if they showed up at all),
Avoid this company like a clogged toilet in July. If you value your time, money, and sanity, call literally anyone else

Purchased an a/c system from them 8 years ago. When the system was sold to me, I was never told about the ASAP program. This program requires them to come out and service the system each year. I had my system serviced every year by someone else. The system stopped cooling because I have a leak somewhere in the system. After a 10-minute service call only inquiring what the other company did as far as inspecting the system every year, I was told they would not be honoring the 10-year warranties on the system.

Ms. ****** has shared similar information through a Google review response and we have provided contact information for her to call in for us to further explain.  She has the manufacturer warranty for 10 years on her system which was originally installed on 5-1-17.  Any part covered by the manufacturer part warranty would be covered through 4-30-2027, but labor is not covered after the first year.

At our last visit, we determined that her system is low on refrigerant.  We quoted a leak search, along with the price of refrigerant.  Those two items would not be covered under a manufacturer warranty.

The Anthony warranty which covers parts and labor for up to 12 years (depending upon purchase contract) is dependent upon keeping our ASAP maintenance agreement in place each year and having the system cleaned at least annually. Ms. ****** had a service agreement with us from 5-1-27 through 8-30-18 and did have a maintenance visit to clean the system during that period.  Her agreement expired on 8-30-18 and she did not restart the membership until her recent visit on June 12th.

We also noted that the incorrect sized filter has been used for an extended period of time and was dirty at the time of our visit which has allowed debris to flow to the blower motor causing it to be very dirty and likely causing air restrictions.

If Ms. ****** would like to discuss this further, please advise her to contact us at (913) 210-0003.

I need to make one correction in the statement provided.

Ms. ******'s prior service agreement was from 5-1 of 2017, not 2027 through 8-30 of 2018.

    Thanks

They do not keep their appointments and the company has some serious communication issues with the customer. They do not deliver what they promise. Have been with them for over 10 years and this is the worst service ever.

I used Anthony for several years and they were always courteous and arrived on time. After every system check they gave me a list of recommendations and the price. I nearly always had the work done and didn't question whether it was actually needed or whether the price was fair. About a year ago, I had problems with a toilet. The water didn't always shut off. Anthony told me I needed a new toilet and it would cost $1300! I knew that something was fishy and I went to YouTube. I found out that the problem was probably the fill valve and a video showed how to remove the debris from the valve. I fixed the toilet for free and I'm an 85 year old woman! If you're an Anthony customer or planning to become one, I strongly suggest that you become familiar with the repairs that they suggest and a fair price for the work. Who knows? Perhaps you can fix it yourself!

I had Anthony out 2 times to open a clogged mainline. The first person did a good job but the line got slow again and I scheduled a camera that is free of charge to come out the following week. In the mean time, they sent another drain tech and he managed bust 2 holes in my main line. The camera man came out and found the 2 holes that the 2nd tech wrote in his report that he did damage the main line. There were other issues below ground that is not Anthony's issue, but my line was in tact prior to the visit and now it is now. I get a call from a very unprofessional young lady stating that they are not going to fix the damage they did due to a disclosure I had evidently signed prior to opening the drain. The fine print. But the Camera tech said if we use them to jet the main line from my mobile home to the street, which is where the issue is. The property manager chose another company to use since they are responsible for that area of line, so now Anthony refuses to fix the holes their tech made. So we will be going to small claims court to see what the judge says. Be careful with Anthony Plumbing.

I had service with Anthony's Plumbing in April. I had a drip that was not severe, but turned into some minor plumbing work and a new backflow device. I had heard the plumber talking on the phone with the plumbing supply company and the backflow device was $400 and some odd dollars. He then tells me that my backflow would cost $1,000 plus. I was shocked and he told me their markup on parts is 250 percent. Anthony's has a schedule of fees, but he told me that their plumbing rates amount to around $400 per hour. The grand total of the plumbing and backflow device, plus backflow test was $2,999. So that repair, in my opinion, was very, very expensive. The other thing that was a turnoff is that they are trying to upsell you and try to talk you into purchasing a water softener. I spoke to Taquoya on the phone regarding my concerns on the cost, and she said she would speak with a supervisor regarding my concerns to see if something could be done, but she never called me back.

We were able to speak with Ms. L******** this morning.  We had originally spoken with her boyfriend, Rob, who had been authorized on the account.  Ms. L******** is now fully updated regarding our charges which she approved before we began our work.
