Job not completed. Needs to repair work done around bathroom mirror. I have paid in full which was a mistake. I had already made out the final payment but he said the replacement vanity door had not come in yet (even tho he told me he was bringing it with him that day) so I gave him the check with an assurance from him he would be back with the door and to repair the tape job he did around my bathroom mirrow which is sharp on edges and coming up. Gaps should have been drywalled around the mirror and not taped to cover up.

    Business Response

    Date: 07/27/2024

I have been sick for several months and was hospitalized for five days.  I am now resting and recovering for the next two weeks.  I had already paid a sub-contractor at the beginning of the job, ********************* of ************************** LLC" *********************************************; I picked up the door ***** needed replaced from ********** and gave the replacement door to ***** before I went into the hospital, expecting ***** would finish the job.

    Customer Answer

    Date: 07/29/2024

I am rejecting this response because:  I hired Pappas Technologies to do the job , not a subcontractor.  That is his responsibility to contact ***** in regards to the job not finished.

I want the job finished or reimbured if I have to hire someone else to complete the job.

Mr. Pappas also does not address the money he charged me for trying to sand my rails on my shower door that do not look any better than before.  I wanted a new shower door but he assured me sanding could make it look new.

You can see from the invoices they say Pappas Technologies.

    Business Response

I am still seeking medical attention and legal counsel and will need several weeks to prepare a full response.

    Customer Answer

    Date: 08/12/2024

I am rejecting this response because:
This is stalling and intimidation on  the part of Mr. ********************** in hopes that I will just tire and give up because I want to sell my house.  The stress of all this has affected my health, emotionally and physically.  I was in the hospital ER in June for AFIB and I have been in an out of AFIB since then.  Now to say it will take several weeks for his medical and legal  problems?
In addition this is  affecting me financially as Mr. ********************** knows I want to put my home on the market and that I  need the job completed.  So I am going to assume that Mr. ********************** has not been working at all and that he is unable to even make a phone call.

I will be getting some estimates on finishing this job and Mr. ********************** will have to reimburse me since he has made no attempt to contact me, sick or not. Trying to find somebody to come in and do one repair job will be difficult and I have no idea what whey will charge.

I gave him his final check with a promise that he would make good and do something different around my bathroom mirror.  I even went to Lowes and got a piece of molding and told him the molding would fit  around the mirror if he just wanted to frame it in.  I told him I would settle for that since he obviously cannot do the work himself and his subcontractor is not going to complete the work.  I am the typical 75 yr old women who has just been taken advantage of.  My mistake, because I trusted him.

    Customer Answer

    Date: 08/20/2024

If Mr. ********************** will refund me $450.00, I can get someone to come in and fix the problem.  They will gingerly try and remove the tape Mr. ********************** put around the mirror that is coming up and sharp in corners.  It will be a little difficult because Mr. **********************'s mother put additional glue in the corners because they kept coming up.  It will have to be removed slowly to minimize the drywall damage.  Once removed I can either have it drywalled, as it should have been done or frame the mirror with molding.  Either way I can get the job completed.

How can I get this relayed.

    Thank you,
